Hey, that's me!

Anyways, I've been keeping tabs on Sprint with a few calls here and there. Spoke to a friend in their call center a few moments ago, nothing as of yet for + orders. If we don't see anything by tomorrow we are officially screwed. Call center agents aren't being given any more information at this point, managers are getting quite, but apparently this has happened on a few occasions during select high demand sales. Last minute changes are the hot gossip right now, but no one will know for sure until corporate actually says something. Keep tabs on your bank accounts, e-mails, UPS tracking by references, etc...even though every single one of us is already obsessively doing that every five minutes anyways. Keep your fingers crossed for midnight or early morning changes to our accounts updating for more accurate information.

EDIT: OMFG WAIT YOU GUYS, MARKUS WAS RIGHT -
My phone eligbility just changed to 593 days.

Possibility of launch dates for those within the up to three-week category just went up tremendously.
My pre order for the 6+ with easy pay changed my upgrade date to may 2016 right after the pre-order went through Friday morning. I'd like to get my hopes up but I'm just gunna expect it on October 3rd which is the last day for the 3 week deliveries.

You would think sprint would wait to charge the card until what you ordered prepares for shipping. I would be shocked if those of us who's confirmation states up to three weeks for delivery arrives friday (I know, i'm dreaming).

iPhone 6 & 6 Plus Sprint Pre-Order Thread!

I did the iPhone 4 life plan. When I selected this, it only gave me the option only for 50 unlimited. So I chose this , finished and submitted. Did this again for my 2nd line which was eligible. I have 5 lines. 20Gb for 100.

I called sprint today, he told me when I get the phones and activate I can move these back over to the share family data plan. Which is good, since I really don't need unlimited.

Funny note.. 20Gb gives me 40gigs. I'll go with it.

He said they were slammed all weekend seeing 2 hour wait times.

Long story short, my upgrade eligibility shows 05/01/2016.... So that seems fine but the iphone for life deal is 24months.

Also.. Since there was no money to put down, still needed my card to submit the order.. I have two $1.00 charges pending. They have not posted.

iPhone 6+

I ordered through sprint online and was instantly charged for the $400(iP6+64GB)(no tax,OR). I used my credit card.
I did not get tracking # just a confirmation #, when I check my order status i get this message saying the number does not match their records....
Any thoughts?

Forgot to mention my sprint account was credited with those $400 now my bills shows a negative amount.

I have ben with sprint for 14 years. If you visit there pre order page it says clearly they charge you when you make the pre order. Since it is a pre order they want the money cause that is what is holding your place in line. If you go into a sprint store and pre order a phone you will pay also.

As far as your upgrade changing that is more of a hint but i ordered a note 3 from Amazon and it changed 2 weeks before i got my phone.

Good luck i hope everyone gets there phone asap me as well :)

I think you are confusing two completely separate things- hotspot and continuity.

Hotspot is something you can get through Sprint regardless of if you have iPhone or Android or any other smart phone.

Continuity is a feature in iOS 8, regardless of what carrier you have.

yup ur right i guess i was confused cuz apple put "instant hotpsot" under their "continuity" page. i was under the impression that the 2 features kind of were interdependent.

thx for the clarification.

so, since you have to be on the same wifi to make calls from your macbook, can u make calls from it if you use ur iphone as a hotspot & share the cell signal to the laptop? and does anyone know if this voice call feature will work on the ipad as well (as opposed to just macbooks)?

I have a feeling that if you tether from the iPhone to the MacBook that no, you will not be able to make or receive a call on the laptop as the moment a call comes in or is initiated on the iPhone itself, the data will stop because of CDMA limitations. I know WiFi will stay on while you are on a call, but if I'm not mistaken the only way for the actual hotspot feature to be active is if mobile data is active. Which it won't be if there is a call. I'd be interested to see whether this works or not, as I could see it both ways.

The voice call feature does work on an iPad. I have my iPhone 5 and iPad Mini Retina running iOS 8 right now and can confirm that does work just fine.

I was able to buy mine at 3:50 am on launch nite, server over load till then for me. Bought 6 plus. 16 GB Grey. Delivery states for me 4-6 weeks...

Hello everyone I am new to the forum. I also pre ordered my iphone 6+ 64GB via Sprint website. I was not able to get through until 5:30. Like everyone else I have the generic shipping message.

Dude that's sweet! So under certain conditions, u can have an even bigger "iPhone"...to me, that's a game-changer...accepting calls on the iMac, MacBooks, iPads, ipod touches, & iPhones...next gen nano will take calls maybe? Prolly soon be an obsolete form factor actually...

I wonder why they never mentioned the ability to text non iMessage users from apple stuff since ur now able to make calls...at least that feature should be available while ur on the same wifi as ur iPhone now...

I talked to a sprint rep she told me as long as u got the order in be for 5am cst u will get it by friday don't know how true that is an i ordered iPhone 6+ 128gb silver

You wanted people to thank you for facts yet your statement is entirely speculative.

1) 6+ supply was rumored to be so constrained that launch may delay shipment to 2015

2) 6+ demand far far far outnumber supply

3) Sprint acknowledged shortage and supply concerns by preemptively giving the 6+ a "Up to 3 weeks" ship window even to their first customers

4) Retail partners aren't even taking 6+ preorders. (And you know how much weight Sprint Store promises hold)

5) Sprint has a way of screwing things up

IPhone 6 buyers really don't have much to worry about if they got in early. But 6+ buyers need to be ready for anything

Look buddy, everyone here is speculating. There are numerous rumors going around on when phones ship, units in stock and what not. Im just trying to share the fact that the Sprint phones are shipping according to an employee, to help ease people minds.

If you got an iPhone 6+ order in early, you shouldn't have much to worry about. Check the reddit thread again

http://www.reddit.com/r/technology/comments/2gdeu1/sprint_iphone_6s_are_shipping/

According to the OP, Sprint has ~200,000 iPhone 6 Plus's

If you made your order quick, theres a good chance you will get yours Friday.

Yes, its a ****ing speculation. No **** sherlock. No one knows for sure, no one. Your UPS guy could get a flat, or better yet just skip your house. But most who got their orders in quickly shouldn't have anything to worry about. Just hope you were one of the first 200,000 buddy. Ok buddy? You happy now? And yes I am slightly ********. But don't worry, Ill be fine. It'll help a lot if I get that "thank you" from you now. Thanks bud.

Yeah it's pretty cool. Keep in mind the devices need to be on the same WiFi network. Maybe in the future this can work the same way Airdrop does, and won't require the WiFi aspect. I have a good feeling that we could see that happening.

Any more off topic chat and we might be asked to make a new thread lol so I'm out on this.
