I will say there has been a few times I didn't get a tracking number until the day before I received my order in the past with Sprint.

I wouldn't have thought they'd still be this far behind with shipping info however.

When I ordered the 5S I didn't get a tracking number until like 1230am the day of delivery.

Honestly expected better this year. Been trying to track by reference via https://www.fedex.com/AltRefTracking?cntry_code=ca_english&vid=K205747&aff=k244266 and via the reference option here from left hand side of page http://www.ups.com/WebTracking/track?loc=en_US&WT.svl=PNRO_L1 using order number or account number which I got by chatting online and asking a sprint rep however no dice as of yet and my charge to my card is still pending.

How do you track by the reference? I ordered a 6+ 64gb at 205CST, so I had to be one of the first orders. Is my order number my reference?

If they ship 2 day air we should have tracking numbers by Wednesday?
 
I Called and this is what I found. Nothing.

I ordered my 6 Plus 16GB from Sprint on opening day. Right when it opened. I immediately got the email stating 4-6 weeks as well. I was angry so i did live chat. They informed me that it will be delivered ON or AROUND September 19th. Still not convinced, the next day I did live chat again. They said this time "All I have access to is what you have access to. And it says 4-6 Weeks". Still irritated at getting different responses, I called. When I waited forever for someone to FINALLY pick up the guy was very kind. He informed me that they don't know for sure if we will be getting them on the 19th. But that is their hope and that ALL who preordered right away should get them ON or AROUND the 19th. Here is to hoping thats true. But who knows, Sprint is obviously as disorganized as ever and doesnt really know anymore than we do. :apple:

Side note, my charge for the order (silver 6 and silver 6+) moved from pending to posted, meaning it will likely not fall off at this point. I'm hoping this is a good sign! Had my order in at 3am CST.

This reflects what I was told as well when I went into the Sprint store Friday morning. He said if I got my order in within a few hours of the site coming up, I should get it on launch day, or at worst, 1-2 business days later. He is the only one I spoke to.

I ordered a silver 64gb 5S on Friday as well, and I received tracking info for it within a few hours. They ship via UPS 2-day.

What was you tracking by? It's a new line so I don't have the associated phone number but have tried the account and order number but nothing.

By the phone number. I think they go by whatever primary phone number you list first. We still have a home number so I use that for billing and main phone number and I was able to track both by that (it was used for two phones and it showed both under it). Order number or account number or any other number never worked for it. Even my cell number did not show up because it was not the primary phone number I used is probably why. It was always the main number I used. But no, mine was not showing up as soon as some mentioning on here that theirs were so I think of course they were continuously being processed and when mine was, it finally showed up etc.

Now, I will say that I just noticed this was the Sprint thread lol (sorry). If yours was ordered under Sprint, maybe they don't use the phone number as a reference? I have never done it except through Apple so I am not sure how anything works if not ordered directly from Apple?!

EDIT: I take that back, someone said you could use the order number minus the last two digits and that does work also. One of ours is showing tracking info and the other isn't yet but with the one that is, the order number minus the last two digits did work as someone suggested.

At least yall get tracking numbers when I did mine in store and I don't get a tracking number and they charged my card

Yeah, it'll be interesting. I got mine ordered around 3 hours after the launch but I'm in the same 3 week window as those that were actually able to get through before that, so I'm hopeful that I'm in the first batch.

I've been under the impression that the 4-6 week folks were most likely in the 2nd batch when Sprint realized that they sold out of all the units they knew they were able to release right away.
 
My concern is simply that it's weird that other phone companies have updated their customers preorder status with shipping information while I've seen no change in mine since Friday.

Your talking about sprint, which is the slowest carrier of the bunch and probably worst customer service. Been with these jokers over 10 years. Only reason I stay is my wife lives on her phone sending thousands of photos a month. With unlimited data, I couldn't afford to be on another carrier. The unlimited stuff will probably go away in the not to distant future though.
 
iphone buyback timing issues?

hey guys if you go to sprint.com/buyback & trade in any iphone thats not cracked & is still working i think they give you a minimum of $200 off your iphone 6 order.

so heres what i know already via sprint rep chat:

1. if you dont use the credit towards iphone 6 or 6+, you get the (non promotional) lower trade-in price (ex. sprint 8gb iphone 4 was $36 and 16gb iphone 4s by sprint was $102). so, if you trade in an iphone and get the iphone 5c ($29 w contract extension), for example, you dont get the $200 off your bill, you only get the quoted price.

2. you have to use the promo code "iphone6" without quotes and go through the drop down menus to "add" the item, then fill in your address & stuff (actually you add that promo code in this area), then click a terms and agreements box, then "submit". then you have to print out a shipping label and mail your iphone on or before 09/29/14.

heres what i DONT know:
i ordered a few iphone 6 pluses on sunday (i know this was late, but im ok with not getting it first...had to think about it for a while & what really convinced me was the iphone trade in program) and it said that i have to wait 3-4 weeks. now does this mean that i have to mail in my iphone 4s and wait to get an actual phone? do i have to be without my phone for about 1-1.5 weeks or so?

it was sunday, so they gave me a # to call for today but i havent got around to it yet...if anyone knows, pls lemme know!

My charge finally posted on my checking account. Thats always a good sign!

If it posted, then it cant unpost or get reversed unless Sprint places a credit. At which point, usually you would see a credit pending. Usually its a good sign when its posted.
 
Yep. My charge for the 6 Plus (ordered at 5:30am Central) just changed from pending to posted on my account. Pretty sure if there was a major delay, they would have taken the pre-auth off and recharged me when it ships.

Crossing my fingers this is good news.

Im talking about my checking account. When I log online, I can see the items that are pending and then I just noticed that it posted the account today.
 
We have 3 orders in saturday evening, probably in the 4-6 week window, but ours also says about the warehouse. Not holding any hope to get this though, at least we can hope by halloween... right? heh

Sprint charged the $58 in tax on all 3, kinda lame they charge you the tax on the easy pays on pre orders... imo the proper thing to do is not to charge someone if the item is not in stock.
 
Well I paid for a device on Friday in the store with my debit card and in the store you get no tracking number
