Does anybody know who else might have a Sprint 6 that you can buy outright other than Best Buy? I'm paying $25/month through my Framily and would like to just buy the thing to keep that as cheap as I have it...

use your phone number or order number minus the last two digits on UPS tracking by reference.

Thanks for the info. I went and edited my post because I did not know the order number minus the last two digits would work also, so thanks. It is good to know both do.

heres what i DONT know:
i ordered a few iphone 6 pluses on sunday (i know this was late, but im ok with not getting it first...had to think about it for a while & what really convinced me was the iphone trade in program) and it said that i have to wait 3-4 weeks. now does this mean that i have to mail in my iphone 4s and wait to get an actual phone? do i have to be without my phone for about 1-1.5 weeks or so?

it was sunday, so they gave me a # to call for today but i havent got around to it yet...if anyone knows, pls lemme know!

thanks!

I was told by a Sprint rep that as long as the phone is traded in by 9/30, you will get the $200 minimum credit. I was not able to process the trade in during checkout because it was saying $0 for trade in so I skipped over that step and just ordered them outright.

When speaking with Sprint later in the day, I was told you can bring the phone into Sprint yourself or they will mail you a box to ship it back to them, at which time you'll get your credit applied to your Sprint account. They told me I'd still get my credit as long as I did all this by 9/30, so I'll have my phone before I need to trade in my 4S. How it works for people who don't receive their phones until October? I have no idea. :(

Hmm. First post and the link claims people will receive them on Wednesday if they already own an iPhone? I don't understand the correlation between already owning one or not and why that would matter for shipping purposes on a device that shouldn't arrive until Friday at the earliest.

Cool if they arrive early, but I don't get it.

I didn't understand that either. All I care about is the 6+ shipping.

Iphone 4 Life with Sprint

I ordered my iPhone 6 Plus 64 Gig Space Grey on launch day at 11Am central time with Sprint on the phone. I signed up for there new plan iPhone 4 Life, $80 a month unlimited data, talk and text and a new iPhine every 2 years a win win for me as I alway trade up every 2 years anyway. I ordered at 11 am central and I fall in the 2 to 3 week category for delivery. I did get a email yesterday that my credit card was billed so here's hoping it won't be long after the 19th. Can't wait to open the box!!!!!!!!

But thats just one employee, theres a good chance the 6 plus' are shipping out too

You wanted people to thank you for facts yet your statement is entirely speculative.

1) 6+ supply was rumored to be so constrained that launch may delay shipment to 2015

2) 6+ demand far far far outnumber supply

3) Sprint acknowledged shortage and supply concerns by preemptively giving the 6+ a "Up to 3 weeks" ship window even to their first customers

4) Retail partners aren't even taking 6+ preorders. (And you know how much weight Sprint Store promises hold)

5) Sprint has a way of screwing things up

IPhone 6 buyers really don't have much to worry about if they got in early. But 6+ buyers need to be ready for anything

maybe costco? i know they are selling apple stuff now & i think i even saw the iphone 6 (not 6+) on their website for a few bucks cheaper...

but honestly, i chatted w a rep about getting that hotspot "continuity" feature enabled on my account & i didnt want to pay extra money...she switched us from an unlimited share (aka framily?) to the "family share pack" or whatever and we got the hotspot feature added & are saving $50 per month in comparison.

the pros of the plan switch:
- can use that hotspot feature that is coming out on iOS8 & yosemite OS soon so you can use your cellular data on any wifi devices wherever you get cell signal
- turn any wifi device into a "cellular" (ex. wifi ipad/laptop becomes cellular ipad/laptop when you have ur iphone on you at the same time)
- save $50 per month (we have 4 lines)

the cons:
- pushed down from "unlimited data" to a 20GB cap per month for the whole family (i checked w the sprint rep & she said we only use 4GB a month anyways, mostly use wifi at school & home so probably wont go over the 20GB data cap = good option for us, but YMMV)
- unlimited text messaging & calling costs $15 per device (so i think you can opt out of this if you dont need it = MORE savings? but let me be clear that our bill dropped $50 per month AFTER the $15 per device fee, so i already took that into consideration)

so our phone bill last month was $232 and will now be $100 + ($15*4) + taxes & fees = $190 per month. so really a savings of $40 per month, so i dont know why the sprint rep kept stating "$50/month". also, dont forget to enroll for their SDP program to get another 10% - 18% off your monthly bill (this was NOT included in the calculations, so maybe it will work out to $50/month afterall...or more).

the ones i know: if youre a AAA member = 10% off, and schools vary from 10% - 18% off...so talk to a sprint person and tell them EVERYTHING u are affiliated with and use the one with the biggest percentage. AAA, university employees/students, and a lot of companies (old navy, sams club, etc) also qualify for a specific discount.

hmm...thanks...i feel like ours will be coming after october...will some of us be phoneless for a while???

I think you are confusing two completely separate things- hotspot and continuity.

Hotspot is something you can get through Sprint regardless of if you have iPhone or Android or any other smart phone.

Continuity is a feature in iOS 8, regardless of what carrier you have.

I tried to search my order on UPS by reference but nothing worked.

Guess I will just wait till Sprint emails me the tracking info.

So I logged into my account on sprint and noticed the upgrade phone option is now gone. (It was there when I ordered). Wondering if anyone else noticed that too.

Same for me. Also if you text 'upgrade' to 1311 it will show when you're next eligible. My eligible date changed to May 2016 which just reinforces that I have in fact used my upgrade on the iPhone 6.

I'm not sure if the tracking by order number works, either that or I'm confused because mine is saying it is a 5lb package being delivered tomorrow in a place that I don't live. And it was shipped on the 10th.

Did you switch to Easy Pay? I switched to Easy pay and it shows 10/1/14 as my next upgrade date if I text it but it doesnt show that anywhere when I login to the account (before I ordered the phone it said I was upgrade eligible now). Maybe thats because I would have to payoff the device first.

Maybe this confirms that they are getting ready to ship it.
Thanks to the Reddit post.

Hey, that's me!

Anyways, I've been keeping tabs on Sprint with a few calls here and there. Spoke to a friend in their call center a few moments ago, nothing as of yet for + orders. If we don't see anything by tomorrow we are officially screwed. Call center agents aren't being given any more information at this point, managers are getting quite, but apparently this has happened on a few occasions during select high demand sales. Last minute changes are the hot gossip right now, but no one will know for sure until corporate actually says something. Keep tabs on your bank accounts, e-mails, UPS tracking by references, etc...even though every single one of us is already obsessively doing that every five minutes anyways. Keep your fingers crossed for midnight or early morning changes to our accounts updating for more accurate information.

EDIT: OMFG WAIT YOU GUYS, MARKUS WAS RIGHT -
My phone eligbility just changed to 593 days.

Possibility of launch dates for those within the up to three-week category just went up tremendously.

I ordered via easy pay as well and it shows my upgrade as 10/4/14, unless I use the online eligibility check tool where it says 5/1/16.

I switched from an Everything Data 450 plan to an iPhone For Life plan.
