Lol, but wait, the iPhone 6/6+ has specs of a two-year old Nexus 4. smh! When will non-Apple smartphone users learn...

You must have missed the part where I said stuffing ram is pointless without optimization? That means yes you need a balance...

I gave two examples, you wanna go back and read?
I did re-read and I stick by what I said. You don't need to be an ass about it (like you just did). So what if we agree, I made my point and so did you. The others here will notice it.

At least now I know the UI lag I see sometimes wasn't just me going crazy. Still the phone runs quite smooth, its not like a major issue or anything.

Ouch Ouch Ouch Ouch :(

Honest to god.

I knew the 6+ had a MUCH larger battery.

I would of sworn part of the reason was so that Apple would clock the 6+ higher to exactly match the performance of the 6.

Being clocked higher would justify the larger battery and balance out.

Ouch Ouch Ouch Ouch :(

?? You're the one that posted a wall of text that said "developer" and I'm the one who was an ass about it? I clearly said the ipad needs more ram, and the g3 needs more optimization. Your reply did not indicate that you read at all what I said.

That's the point...stuffing RAM in it isn't going to solve any problems without software optimization.

My ipad air reloads tabs like crazy, that device could probably benefit from RAM (but again, not just stuffing RAM IN it).

My g3 has 3gb of RAM, and it lags more than my wife's 5s. That device needs some better optimization.

Point is, RAM RAM RAM is not going to solve anything.

Its going to solve tab reloads and app reloads instantly. So YES it will solve stuff.

How on earth are you using your phone? I can barely get a full day from my iPhone 5 if I'm using it decently.
How many cycles on the battery? And did you get it replaced under Apple's new program? Mine was utter crap recently, but I was nearing 500 cycles on a <2yo phone, and the battery was part of the recall. Replaced it last week, much better. Of course, my 6 shows up today, so it won't matter to me for long.

Benchmark scores matter to a select few people. What Apple counts on, and what most people care about, is having a good experience using the phone.

Benchmarks are the anti-specs for hardware.

Although you don't have the insight to see, these results are the very things that all phones should be judged by and offer true reflections of performance. Unlike specs which give zero information about how all that hardware works together and the bottle necks that exist.

While I agree apple customers don't need to worry as no other phones come with iOS, now there are a few options guys like us who recommend phones to family and friends need to have these stats.

The android guys are all competing with specs but they rarely consider benchmarks that do anyway with the need to even mention long lists of specs.

No. The safari problem seems to be just that...a safari problem. My wife has no tab reloading problems on her 5s, but my air reloads with two tabs open. Dont they both have the same RAM?

And when Samsung **** themselves as you said, so will Apple as they will be left with no component supplier that as a great price/quality ratio!

Samsung Mobile Devices is ******** themselves.
Samsung Semiconductors and Components is happily selling to Apple, who is one of their best customers, if not their best customer.

If I didn't read all of your post I would not have replied to it. I only reply to posts I've fully read and understood. Up to you if you accept this fact or deny it.

Still thanks for the reply.

I've had my 6 unplugged for a little over 6 hours now, with moderate usage (mostly messaging and email), and it's currently sitting at 72%. Not overly impressive, but definitely better than the 5S was doing. I have brightness at about 50% and not doing anything to reduce battery life. Bluetooth and location sharing, Nike+ are active.

Unfortunately, it will probably be more like 50% at this time of day, 6 months from now.

I hope the iPhone 6 Plus won't end up like the third generation iPad. The retina display was a welcome addition, but the CPU and GPU wasn't ready for it.

Thankfully, the processors are so much better now. There really is a non-issue.

Then you must not have understood it. For you to say that optimization is not enough and a balance is needed indicated to me that you were saying that I DIDN'T say that. Which of course I did.

I see now that you were just agreeing with me.

I replied therefore I understood it. (Don't know why I'm repeating this again).
And I didn't intentionally write the post to agree with you, it just happened that way.

I'm seeing a lack of understanding about software, here.

How many apps do you have in the App store? Cause I do. Have you have worked with iOS? You got any actual clue about how it works?

No. The safari problem seems to be just that...a safari problem. My wife has no tab reloading problems on her 5s, but my air reloads with two tabs open. Dont they both have the same RAM?

Doesn't mean safari has the same amount of available RAM to keep tabs in memory. When resources get tight, safari gets told to either free memory (aka unloading your tabs) or it gets killed. The iPad has a higher resolution, so safari need a lot more memory to render the content.

Samsung is also selling to a lot of other customers. Apple is a cheap, low balling customer when it comes to components.

When Samsung cuts Apple loose, it's Apple that will be **** themselves.
