No one has ever argued that it can't be done. The point is that it can't happen without the owner noticing. It takes force. Significant force. Especially when your supposed fulcrum is your spongy leg. If you apply enough force there to bend your phone you're going to notice that.

Listen, if anyone wants to give me an iPhone 6 that I can destroy, I'll show you how I can use my leg to bend the iPhone 6 substantially.

Even though my leg has skin, tissue and muscle, it compresses and at a certain point, it's hard enough to bend something without it HURTING ME.

Ever take a stick and break it over your thigh? Did that hurt? Did the stick dig all the way down to your bone? Of course not.

Again. Let me have an iPhone that I can break and I'll post a video of it on here and prove to you people that an iPhone can bend in your pocket if it's tightened against your leg when sitting down.

I don't wear tight pants either, but when I lift my legs up, the pants tend to tighten around my thighs. I think this happens to everyone. When there's something in my pocket, the pants tend to get even tighter.

Here's a video of how a leg can cause pressure on this phone https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XQxX_x3HTXQ

Oh geez, not that stupid video again.

The guy admitted that he has bent and unbent his phone several times. Then when he puts pressure on it again, (and conveniently has the phone out of camera range at 0:41 when it comes out of his pocket) it has a barely noticeable bend to it.

I can also bend a piece of metal repeatedly making it easier to bend it the next time.

Unsealed my iphone 6 (not the plus) on thursday evening. Put all my stuff on there. Friday morning I put it in my front pocket to work.( no i dont wear skinny jeans)
it was maybe 20 min in my front pocket that morning, also took it out halfway of those 20 min in the train. Was sitting at my desk at work that afternoon, checking out my phone when I noticed it was bend right in the middle of where the volume buttons are. Not as bad as on the photos in this topic but it was still bend.
Contacted the store i bought it from, getting a new one. Only they are out of stock and they dont know when the new ones will arrive :(
Before people telling me i need to be more careful.
I have my iphone 5 for 2 years now, not a scratch on there.
My phones always have a glass screenprotector, a back protector and a bumper on them.
I even waited 9 days before unsealing my iphone 6 because i had ordered accessoires from china and wanted to put them on right out of the box.
Only the volume button side was bend btw.
Only time the phone got tight in my pocket was when i was bend over putting my shoes on in the morning. Even then i instantely took it out because it wasnt a comfortable feeling.

The iPhone 6 is longer and thinner than the iPhone 5. The comparison between the two can't be made.

You should be more careful.

Watch my wife carry her 6 in her back pocket all the time, she told me she sat on it by accident forgetting it was back there. But took it out emedately, she as a CaseMate tough case and ZAGG screen protector on it. The phone is still in great condition since 10/7.

Now for me my 6+ is still in great condition, carry it in my front pocket. But take it out when sitting driving etc. I don't whare tight pants. But when I got my phone on 10/16 I purposely sit with it in my front pocket with out a case to see if it would bend. Still straight even now. I am 210lbs with 8% body fat, I have big legs and woundnt dare to put my 6+ in my pocket if i whore tight fitted pants, because that would be asking for a bend maybe!?!?

Don't know how these people are bending there phones under normal use, still scratching my head on this one. Maybe what I consider to normal use is not for someone else. But what I will continue to do is treat my phone the way I have been using it since day one. My phone is not bend still looks new so I am going to keep carrying my phone the way I have been doing since day one. Hey it's working out for me so far, good luck to everyone else and try not to mistreate your phone if u can. I love my 6+ and I am really enjoying it so far so good.

My phone isn't bent yet but that video speaks volumes (where it's dropped in 10k frames/sec).

Clearly the phone can easily bend.. and it's aluminium so no surprise there.

I think the idea is be careful with it, it's definitely not as rigid as a Note..

Because there are people out there (and am not saying OP is one of them) who open this kind of thread for the pleasure of trolling.

If you wanted to share your phone bending experience and took your time to open a thread, then finding a way of taking a pic of your bended phone does not seem like the hardest thing on the world. Just saying.

Your posts in this thread appear far more trollish than the OP. Why do you care so much? Is it because it's an Apple critique and that bothers you? If it was a post about android phones bending would you be so vocal in your objections?

Well my iPhone 6 plus is not bent however my boyfriend has managed to bend my Galaxy tab pro 10.1 #

I'm not pleased.

My iPhone 6 also got bent and I really had no idea how it happened.

I booked a Genius bar appointment at my local Apple store and it was replaced. Can't fault apple at all! :apple:

Just this second bought a hard clear case to put it in as the leather apple case does not protect it from bents!

I've sat on my 6 Plus multiple times getting into my car because I've forgotten it in my back pocket, and I've never once bent it.

Keep in mind I put 185 lbs. of pressure on the phone and its fine!

By your logic, you can't compare any phone with the iPhone 6 because no other phone shares the same exact dimensions as the iPhone 6. It's a phone, it should be able to withstand being placed in a pocket. This is a failure on apples part as well as their die hard fanboys for not recognizing it. Yes, that includes you.

I think the disagreement is that it comes from personal experiences. I've used my iphone 6 plus naked, nothing nada since launch day. Dropped it once or twice. No bend at all. Dents, scratches? Yes sir. How come your story is more legit than mine?

Yeah man, because having it in your pocket for 20 min after unpacking it the evening before is really iphone 6 abuse. Next time i should carry it in my hand all day......
Either I was unlucky and had a "bad" iphone or there is seriously something wrong with it. We'll see when I get my new one and start using it the "abusive" way I normally use it my phone.

well there you go.
enough said.
Edit: got carried away, sorry for the insult.
Let me guess, you're one of those people who spend 35 dollars on Spigen 0.4mm Glass screenprotectors, when you can order them from Remax for 10 dollars and it being only 0.1mm thick. Or a plastic bumper when you can get aluminium....
And they even last longer then Spigen and yes I tried them all.
Also they even sell tempered glass protectors for the back. Havent seen those around here.
So yeah go ahead, waste your money and limit your horizon because China is crap!

Mine appears to be twisted a bit. Not really noticeable with the naked eye, but it rocks a bit if I press the bottom right corner. Have no idea when it happened - probably while driving. I haven't subject this phone to abuse. I've actually been more careful with it than previous iPhones because of all the bending reports.

I must be lucky. I've had my iPhone 6 Plus since launch. Constantly in my pocket. Even took it with me to Disneyworld and had it in my pocket during all the rides, including a coaster.

Not bent, not even a little. No special case on it just the usual leather one from Apple.

True

But it is silly to buy an expensive phone and sign up for an expensive plan if you can't either buy a $39 case or be careful with it.
True but you could also say that when you buy an expensive phone, its silly to put it in a ugly plastic case. I expect a stronger phone for a price like this.

I tried going as minimalistic as possible with a glass front and back protector and a aluminium bumper but it still bend. I'll try again with the new one I'm gonna receive, if it bends again, i guess I'll return it and i'll go back to my iphone 5 and skip this generation of iphones.

All your guesses are incorrect.

China is not crap. China is a wonderful country with many wonderful people.
There is nothing wrong with buying a high quality product at a premium or a low quality product at a discount. But it is silly to hope that a low quality product will perform the same as a high quality product.

I have had the exact same experience. No bends. Phone is flawless. People who are being their phones have to be doing something to cause it. My iPhone wasn't made especially for me with different materials, so it isn't any stronger than anyone else's.

Stop being careless and stop bending your phones.
