Just to update you guys, I spoke to a senior advisor at Apple. He is forwarding this issue to engineering. Looks like it's going to take a software update to repair it.

My 6+ worked in my Corvette Stingray, though I had rebooted for other reasons since initially pairing it so that might have fixed it if there was a problem I didn't know of.

Connected my iPhone 6 to Lexus Bluetooth. Works for Bluetooth music but no Bluetooth phone calls. Phone indicates it's connected and sending audio to the car but absolutely nothing.

Hoping others are experiencing similar issues so we can get this escalated

When I connect Bluetooth to a plantronics hands free device, that works without a problem

I have the same problem with my new 6 in a Nissan Murano. Paired fine, but will not work hand free for phone calls/audio

I'm having the same problem in my Altima. Music will come through Bluetooth fine but phone calls don't.

iPhone 6 bluetooth problem with Porsche and CMAX

I got my iPhone 6 last night. I had an iPhone 5S before running iOs8.

I have 2 cars: 2013 Ford CMAX Energi and a 2014 Porsche Cayenne.

After upgrading to iOS8 on the iPhone 5S, no problem to place and receive call on the CMAX. But on the Porsche it was a nightmare. The calls started then after two ringtones the call disconnected. I had to remove all the devices on my iPhone 5S bluetooth profile and the same on the Porsche. After the pairing was done I push the home button and on/off button. Then the connection was ok.

Now with the iPhone 6. The nightmare is back.

I was able to pair and connect the iPhone 6 on the CMAX. But as soon as I try to place a call, I hear the first ring, then the call is disconnected. Ford Sync even shows me that I just have one reception bar when in reality I have full reception on the phone.

Now for the Porsche, same issue. I was able to pair the phone. When I try to place a phone call after one ring the call is disconnected.

One the two cars I reseted to Factory setting both Synch system and PCM. Reseted the network settings on the iphone 6. Remove all the bluetooth devices, restored the phone. Then pair again the phone same issue.

I tried the wife' iPhone 6 same issue...

Based on this troubleshoot and taking under consideration the iPhone 5S with iOS was working it looks like there is an issue with the iPhone 6.

I was just on the phone with an Apple iPhone Tech support guy who just talked to one senior support guy. He just told me that there is a compatibility issue between the bluetooth used on the iPhone 6 and some car navigation/bluetooth. He told me that the issue is coming from Apple. And a solution may be provided at a later time in a patch.

I'm having what sounds like an identical problem in my 2011 Ford Explorer. While I am relieved its not 'just me', I too would like to figure out a fix ASAP. I do need to take calls a lot and won't do it if I am not "hands-free".

Sync shows up, and I am paired for everything except telepone audio.

Same issue in 2010 Prius

I update my iPhone 5s to the ios8 and the cell phone connected without any problem to my 2010 Toyota Prius via Bluetooth. However, my new iPhone 6+ will not connect. The music works perfectly via Bluetooth, but the cell will not work. Interestingly, I can play phone messages through the Bluetooth but not actual calls.

I'm having problems in my 2013 Range Rover Evoque. No problem pairing my iPhone 6, but my in-car controls wouldn't operate the phone, and when I placed a call from the phone, the car wouldn't pick it up even though the phone thought it had. The weird things was that I could place FaceTime audio calls from my phone and my Evoque would pick them up. I just couldn't end the call using my cars control. After rebooting the phone it started working. But it went back to the same behavior after a FaceTime audio call. Another reboot fixed it again, temporarily. I'll have to try the reset network/all settings when I'm back in my car. Oh, and audio streaming seemed to work just fine.

Audio streaming works good in my 2014 Hyundai Sonata, but the phone controls on the steering wheel don't work, the phone call information doesn't display on the head unit, and the volume is very low on a call. It used to work fine on my iPhone 5S with iOS 8, but not with my iPhone 6 Plus. Hopefully a software patch can fix it.
