I update my iPhone 5s to the ios8 and the cell phone connected without any problem to my 2010 Toyota Prius via Bluetooth. However, my new iPhone 6+ will not connect. The music works perfectly via Bluetooth, but the cell will not work. Interestingly, I can play phone messages through the Bluetooth but not actual calls.

I'm having problems in my 2013 Range Rover Evoque. No problem pairing my iPhone 6, but my in-car controls wouldn't operate the phone, and when I placed a call from the phone, the car wouldn't pick it up even though the phone thought it had. The weird things was that I could place FaceTime audio calls from my phone and my Evoque would pick them up. I just couldn't end the call using my cars control. After rebooting the phone it started working. But it went back to the same behavior after a FaceTime audio call. Another reboot fixed it again, temporarily. I'll have to try the reset network/all settings when I'm back in my car. Oh, and audio streaming seemed to work just fine.

Audio streaming works good in my 2014 Hyundai Sonata, but the phone controls on the steering wheel don't work, the phone call information doesn't display on the head unit, and the volume is very low on a call. It used to work fine on my iPhone 5S with iOS 8, but not with my iPhone 6 Plus. Hopefully a software patch can fix it.
The solution has already been posted. "Reset all settings" on iPhone.

I had the issue on my 2013 f150. Did this, settings, general, reset, reset network bettongs, been working normal ever since.

Common issue and fix, especially when restoring a new phone from a previous backup. I had to do this with my '11 F-150 before it worked right, as well as delete previous pairing on the truck itself. After that, no issues at all.

Reset the car's settings or the iPhone's?

Both to be sure, but primarily the iPhone, especially if you're restoring a new phone from a previous backup. Do that, go into your vehicle and delete the previous phone pairing, connect your phone as a new pairing, and everything should work.

NOW WORKING CORRECTLY!!
I own a 2014 Lexus IS 350 F-Sport. Had the same EXACT problems.
Deleted all my Bluetooth devices from the lexus as well as my iPhone, then reset network settings. Re-did the process and started working correctly.

reset networks didnt work but reset all settings worked.

first time i've had this issue but i'm glad its resolved.

Finally got my Bluetooth to make a call in my 2014 Nissan Altima 3.5SL. I deleted the pairing on both my phone & my car, rebooted my phone, paired it with my car & now it works.

Did it backwards to get it go work

My iphone 6 wouldn't even see the car to be able to pair. I wound up deleting all previous phones from my car and then set it up from the car's end first including giving myself a pairing code. When I did that, all of a sudden the connection showed up on the phone and let me pair!! So in a sense, I set it up the opposite way than it should. Glad to get it connected!

iPhone 6 not working either in Lexus rx350

i have the same problem on my 2011 Lexus rx350. My iPhone 6 connects to Bluetooth audio for music, but won't connect to calls. Have tried multiple troubleshooting tips with no success including resetting my network settings, deleting all previous phones in the car. I set this up fas a new phone, did not restore from a backup. Any other suggestions?

Like others have suggested, try deleting saved pairings in your car. Also, did you restore or set up as new?

Anyway, my 6 works fine with my 2013 VW GLI Autobahn.

In my 2012 F30 I had to reset all settings. This got me basic bluetooth working again but I have lost some of the advance functions such as being able to read messages from the cars display. I would be grateful to hear from someone with the same model.

Same issue...

Connected my iPhone 6 to Lexus Bluetooth. Works for Bluetooth music but no Bluetooth phone calls. Phone indicates it's connected and sending audio to the car but absolutely nothing.

Hoping others are experiencing similar issues so we can get this escalated

When I connect Bluetooth to a plantronics hands free device, that works without a problem

Having the same issue in a 2015 Mercedes. Connects just fine, but making calls is a no go. Bluetooth streaming and other such feature are operational. I had no issues with my 5s running ios8....so, it an iphone 6 issue.

I drive a Lexus also (2013 GS 350F). I paired my iphone 6 to my car without any problems. Try deleting your old phone first then reconnecting the new iphone. Good luck!

2011 Toyota Prius here. Bluetooth Audio works fine, but phone calls do not work. Tried all troubleshooting steps of resetting network settings and deleting pairings / re-pairing. This is really annoying. Had no issues with the iPhone 5 or even the iPhone 5 with iOS 8 before I got my 6+.

Doesn't work properly here. Alfa/Fiat Blue&Me system. Phone connects, but no network is displayed, and the phone doesn't use the car audio. Almost like there's a privacy setting somewhere blocking it.

Same issue as described in 2014 RAM with the higher end Uconnect. Tried all the resets short of a full blown reset.

i have this same issue w/ my 2013 BMW. Very frustrating. Same thing happened in past w/ new IOS version(don't remember which one) and took months before an update was released to correct the problem.

Reset network settings and Reset All settings do not always work. I did both and it does not help my situation. Everyones issue is a little different but there is definitely something going on in general and some have even reported that calls to AppleCare elicit a response that Apple is aware of the issue.

For mine it can connect generally until I turn off car. Then when I turn car back on it will not auto connect back up, even if I try and manually connect it it will time out. But if I wait a minute or so then I can manually connect it again and it stays until I turn off the car again.

I had a bunch of problems with Bluetooth working for music, but not phone calls. Reset all settings fixed all of the issues (repairing, rebooting, etc didn't). This was with a Pioneer Avic x930bt head unit.

I had this exact issue with my Mazda CX-9. Tried rebooting the phone, repairing, etc. Music worked but not phone calls.

I finally noticed the phone/ring volume were low. Turns out upping that 'fixed' the issue.
