Just a quick observation: Anyone notice how all the complains about the iPhone 6 are from people who own a 4S? Interesting that they conveniently bought a rehash design of the iPhone 4, but then complain about the 6th Generation iPhone. Sounds like they might be a little jealous that they won't be able to upgrade until the 6S.

What do you guys think?

I think you should find something better to do with your time.

Thank you for not calling it the iPhone 5. I cringe every time I see it. Even some big tech websites started calling it that. It makes about as much sense as Microsoft calling the next Xbox the Xbox 361.

I've bought every iPhone to date regardless if I could upgrade or not so your point is moot.
I just don't think the design is what some of us want. It is obvious that Apple will have to go wider eventually but they are dragging their feet for no apparently good reason.

So if this is indeed the next iPhone, I will not get it.
Will be getting the Samsung Note II when it arrives instead.

Just a few quick observations:
  • 'Jealousy' usually implies wanting something you can't have. Unless 4S owners are forbidden from buying the next iPhone, I don't think that word means what you think it means. If I like it, I'll buy it. If I don't, I won't. Simple.
  • The iPhone form factor has been pretty consistent throughout the life of the product, so unless you're uber-nitpicky, they have *all* been 'rehashes'.
  • Please, tell me why I won't be able to upgrade?

What do I think? I think this is a weak attempt to get people to use the name iPhone 6. The new phone may be called a lot of things, but one thing it won't be called is the iPhone 6. Give it up, sheesh.

yea ok ios6 iphone 6 how thick can you you get it will be that or the new iphone but since theres nothing new about the phone they will push the name to go along with the ios release and anyway you should be having a go at people that cant count iphone 5 if they call this the new iphone then apple will start going downhill no effort in design or innovation or even marketing i wont be buying this one thats for sure iphone 4s was a mistake as it is exactly the same as 4 still at least it isnt as ugly as samsungs new phone amazing phone but ugly as anything.

...what...

Ya know, just because your in a contract doesn't meen you can't buy the latest iPhone every year and just swap your sim over. Sell my 4S for £300 and I'll buy the i5 for £500 - costing me £200 a year to upgrade..on a £10 a month contract. Far cheaper than waiting 2yrs and paying £46 a month for the pivellege! :)

Nobody is tied to a phone for the full contract...sim cards do pop out ;)

I think those of us smart enough to pickup the 4s on a 12 month contract are smug as **** ;)

I'm not biting, just adding to the discussion.

I've owned every model iPhone other than the 'S' variants. Mainly because I like the new designs & didn't feel the need to own the 'S' variants. If these leaks are indeed real, then I know I won't get that same feeling as I did for the First Gen/3G/4.

It was utter excitement and anticipation. Not for this one.

The only thing I've noticed is that every year around iPhone launch time, this forum turns into a dumb blathering drunk chick at bar closing time.

I own an iPhone 4s and Ill buy the new one too. I see a bunch of other people who own a 4s and not complaining, dont generalize you just look stupid ;)

I agree with what you're saying, but you really need to use punctuation and sentence divisions. You come off as a ghetto smack child too ignorant to be bothered with intelligent mannerisms.

Looking at your prior posts you come across as a nine year old...or at least you have the mental capacity of one.

that is why I just looked right past his post....

And you think they'll actually call it iPhone 6...

Hope you've got your concession speach ready for Sept. 12. ;)

agreed. They would get more confused looks from the general population. Anyone I talk to IRL about the new iphone calls it the iphone 5. The only people who really call it the 6th or even know it is the 6th generation are forumers.

No, but that doesn't change the fact that it's an iPhone 6. Apple will probably call it "The New iPhone" since they can't call it the "iPhone 4G".
