Last year when I bought the iPhone 6, I promised myself I wouldn't be buying the next iPhone. But I'm going to break this promise. Watching all the rumors about this new model make me want to have it. The 's' upgrade is pretty significant compared to previous ones. Of course it might be different in reality, but we'll see. Do have to say that price is gonna be important to me. I don't plan on buying the next iPhone if it's going to cost €200 more. Since rumors are stating it will have 7000 Series aluminum which is more expensive I'd not be surprised if it would add up to the costs. If the difference is not too significant I will go for it. Hope it won't be more expensive of course, than I will do it without a doubt, even if some of the rumored new features are not in it.

Anyway, I look forward to the iPhone 6s. :)

I will be upgrading, but for a different reason. I'm with two carriers, iPhone 6 on T-Mobile, Note 4 on Verizon. Going to drop T-Mobile once I get new iPhone 6S or 6S Plus on Verizon. Sister will get current iPhone 6 as she's on AT&T (getting unlock code). I have to stick with Apple due to certain medical apps that either are not available or run better under IOS.

I'm on the fence. I'll wait until Apple announces what features the 6s will have before I make a decision.

I have a question, I'm sure someone can answer I've just never done it and it was brought up today in a meeting I had. Does Apple allow you to purchase an unlocked device at the same time of preorders of those on contract? Meaning if say they announce preorders start midnight on sept 11th, could I jump on there and order an unlock? Not sure you can predict the future, I just wonder if that's happened in the past? I'm pretty sure the answer is no, your forced to wait a month or two before ordering an unlocked device. Thx

Yes. I was likely going to upgrade anyway but the sometimes frustrating performance of the 6 Plus has pushed me to upgrade as soon as possible. Switching to the 4.7" iPhone for sure if the 6S and 6S Plus end up with identical internals like the 6/6+ did.

What sort of problems are you having with the 6+? considering the internals are still pretty recent, I'm surprised you'd want to stick with an iPhone if you think is outdated after less than a year. My wife's 5s is still doing just fine and the 6+ is much better in terms of processor, etc than the 5s.

It's mostly the poor multitasking and general inability to hold things in memory. I'm getting pretty annoyed by how apps have to refresh when switching between them sometimes and webpages, plus the music app seemingly refreshing itself after leaving to another app as well. Every now and then it freezes up while typing a text message but that's not as annoying as all the refreshing. More RAM plus the efficiency of iOS 9 will probably fix it though. I still stay with iPhone because it's still better than the competition for me. I've tried Androids before in the past and won't be making that mistake again.

Only if I can get my dad to upgrade his 4S to a 6S and then let me have the 6S with him taking my 6+.

Quite fancy swapping to the smaller phone in a different colour until I'm due for upgrade when the 7 is released

I said (back in Oct 2014) that the 6 Plus will be last phone until the 7 but I am very much considering a 6s non-plus. In a city where everyone lives on top of each other (New York), I'm tired of having a phone big enough everyone on the train can read along with me.

Same!

Plus since my hands are tiny (5'2, female) I am often afraid I'll drop the phone if someone bumps into me while I am texting. Never had this problem with the smaller models but the plus is hard for me to hold.

Just got a iPhone 6 Plus new for 200 dollars less. I don't know if I am going to keep it or not. I already own a standard iPhone 6, but I only do social media, e-mail and browsing on it. In other words, I consume more than I create with the device. I want the plus and screen size to update databases and fix small bugs in web apps.

Is it a deal to keep the iPhone 6 Plus (new phone, $200 cheaper and return is free for 45 days) or should I wait for the iPhone 6S Plus?

A lot of people complain about lag, bugs and reloading of Safari tabs/other apps with the Plus. Thats why I am hesitant to keep the iPhone 6 Plus even though it is 200 dollar for me.

You're aware that the S models are 100% entire different inside from the previous model, right? The 6S will probably be the biggest change ever too, on top of that. What a silly thing to say...

Real heads don't care about internal hardware. If we did, we'd be on the Android bus.

Please get informed.

Yes, but only because I bought the 6 and I now want the plus version. I was going to get one a couple of months ago but I decided to wait for the new one.

Yes I will. The 1GB RAM and the constant lag on my iPhone 6 plus is pissing me off.

What's wrong with the Android bus...been on it since 09...only coming back to the apple bus as Google forgot where they started, sold us down the river....and now sammy is making the note 5 like an iPhone. I just figured instead of buying "like an iphone" might as well get a real one. ...6s here I come

I don't think i will get the 6s or 6s Plus, simply because i'm really happy with my iPhone 6 Plus! and it will be getting all the features from IOS 9 so i will upgrade next year.

I can't think of anything that the 6s could offer that would make it worth it for me to upgrade.

Absolutely. I plan on getting the 6s. I've found the 6 Plus to be too big for everyday use for me.
