"Planned obsolescence" makes me giggle.

The people who hold on to their iPhone for longer than two years are not going to notice the difference between one, two or even three gb of ram.

Isn't having to refresh Safari each time you change tabs an issue? Honestly? In 2014?

lol I made the exact same comment in another thread. Seems ridiculous to have to deal with that issue in 2014. The die hards don't want more ram though and will fight to the end that 1gb is good enough.

Why, do they put the phone in a drawer for two years and not use it? I use my iPhone 5 every day and experience webpage and app reloads every day. My iPhone 5 has 1GB of RAM and it is a two year old model.

Go troll someplace else. You upload a fake info knowing its a thread speaking about 6+

How is it a fake info? If it was the iPhone 5s benchmark then that would be true, but like YOU said its for the iPhone 6, which means its almost a given to be the same for 6+.

Yes, Apple should've doubled the RAM if they were to stay on schedule!

I don't want to burst your bubble, but an insider working in a memory supply chain which can't be disclosed told it's 1GB. I believe his word. :apple:

I can think of absolutely no positive reason why they may have stuck with 1GB of RAM. It's either to save a few dollars per unit and thus maximise profits, or to intentionally reduce the longevity of the device. Probably the latter IMO.

There is no positive reason. The only "positive" reason I've heard is that 1GB requires less power... but this is invalidated when you consider how much extra battery (as well as data!) is used to refresh tabs endlessly.

It's to save money, shorten the life, and to give them something to upgrade for the 6S model, since there aren't as many new physical changes left to make.

Ok, well, in my opinion the iPhone is the best phone ever. All other phones are just garbage.

There.

I suspect you'd say that regardless of what Apple did. Thus, your opinion is hardly constructive or interesting. I don't mean disrespect, but being unable to be critical of something is not a useful quality. I'm glad you're enjoying your device, though.
