Why wasn't this thread locked already?

Can't everyone just buy the phone they want? I don't wear skinny-jeans, have big hands, but just prefer a phone with a 4 or 4.7" screen over a 5.5" one, but I honestly couldn't care any less whether someone else feels differently about this.

Agreed. This is turning into a typical Android forum, with infighting between users of the same mobile OS.

Its sad to see so many posts on this forum like, "here's why i chose the 6 over the plus!"

Actually, its hilarious. So many grown adults trying to justify why, for whatever reason, they couldn't get the 6 plus.

Obviously its a better phone than the regular 6. You think there was an actual small supply of 6+'s? Apple purposefully bottlenecked/delayed the 6+'s because they knew everyone was clamoring for them.

So they made the 4.7's readily available for the impatient people.

C'mon guys be real with yourselves.

Better is subjective, depends on the person. Whats "better" a 3 million dollar home you cant sell or step foot in? or a shack that you can do whatever you want with.

They made the 4.7" option for those who have smaller hands or just want smaller phones. Not to ease the demand for the 6+. If someone struggles to use the 6+, or carry it around, how is it better for them?

Clearly, the 6+ is superior in terms of its hardware in relation to the 6. But does that necessarily make it better for those that cant use it? With that argument, wouldnt most android phones with superior hardware be considered "better" than the iphone 6+? Even though it runs a software which most iOs users would hardly consider "better".

I dont see why other people's choices has driven you to create this thread. Do you need justification that the 6+ is right for you? Reaffirmation from the majority of the populous that you are making the correct decision?

I myself prefer the 6+ and it is the better option for me, but Im not criticizing anyone wanting something smaller for themselves. Why are you?

So the assumption is that the 6+ is obviously better, so if you chose the 6, you must be settling for something inferior. That's total rubbish. From the minute the rumors about a 5.5 inch iphone started, I knew I definitely didn't want one. It's simply too big. I work at a bank, I wear a shirt and tie every day. The majority of my waking hours are spent at work. I would look absolutely ridiculous carrying a huge screen phone around. It definitely wouldn't fit in my shirt pocket, where my 5 currently resides. So, no, believe it or not, there are actually a lot of people who do not think the 6+ is a superior phone. Yes, it has a bigger screen and a slightly upgraded camera, and if I was a college student or worked from home or had some laid-back job, I'd probably consider it. Obviously a bigger screen is more useful, but it's way less practical. So, you can convince yourself that you were able to score the superior device, but really, it's all in your mind.

I work in finance and bought a 6+. Not sure I agree that only folks with laid back jobs need a bigger screen.

Most every rating I have seen has the Note 3 at the top of the list for android. Most folks on android that have a Samsung went for the S line instead. Guess it really did not matter that it was rated as the best. :)

The "you didn't get x model because you couldn't afford it" is such a ******** argument.

Made by children and the insecure :p

By your logic, the OIS and landscape apps would make the Plus a better phone.

Haha! Your logic seems pretty weak. I'm saying that to be better technically it would need to be complete and it would also need a measuring stick. Who creates that stick? Nobody. So it's all relative. Size may make the Plus better, size may make the 6 better.

Cool story. I stand by my statement, though, since you chose only one criterion in order to make your "point."

This was a useless and just awful post.

While "better" is subjective, technically the phone is better. That's all the OP was trying to say.

However, when I see grown men with an iPhone 5C I immediately lose respect for them.

If I see a large man with an iPhone 6. It's the equivalent to seeing a 6'6 man in a Miata. Go big or go home.

iPhone 6 was made for kids and chicks. Nuff said. The 6+ is for real men.

Exactly. Couldn't have said it better.

My perception is completely different - I've felt that the 6 Plus is for young people who watch a lot of videos and play games, or for women who have a purse that can easily accommodate a device like that.

That's quite a silly assessment. The entire board is saying how the iphone 6+ is too big for hands etc. Now you are saying that its for women.

Wow you vanilla 6ers are pretty desperate to justify.

Lol, this is hilarious and truly sad. I can only assume from your post that you are just now starting to approach man hood. If you think owning a 5.5 inch phone vs a 4.7 phone qualifies for manhood, you don't have any idea what being a man is about.

You post is a justification for you buying a 6+ iPhone. Are you rolling your eyes at yourself as well?

No, it's an assessment based on observation.

I don't think the iPhone 6 Plus is too big for anyone's hands, since most people who have transitioned to phablets have their own strategies to deal with it. What it may be too large for is one-handed use for some people, some of the time.

The point was, if you read, that many more women have purses than men do, and it is a simple storage option for women to have a larger phone than men have with front pants pockets.

That and the kids part. I'm sure you would agree with that.

1-This large grown man is right handed, and I need a phone to fit in my pocket because I have other things strapped to my right side.

2-I mount my phone on my motorcycles fairing for GPS, Tunes, etc.. I dont need some phone sticking up higher then my windscreen.

3-Everyone has there own reasons for wanting whatever device. I could care less about a slightly larger battery as I dont have issues with charging the phone when it needs it. I could care less about the camera thing, I am not a photographer.

Everyone argues over stupid crap now a days.

1. Just put it in your fanny pack
2. I'm sure lifeproof will have a solution to hold whatever iPhone you get.
3. You say you don't care about battery life until you are stranded somewhere on your bike without your fanny pack.

If you define your state of being as a man by what phone you pick, I feel very sorry for you.

1-No Need
2-Never heard of it. But thanks
3-Thanks for watching out for me, you must be a good person.

You lose respect for somebody because they choose a coloured iPhone? Okay.

While I think each phone obviously has its target market, there is no reason why somebody shouldnt have a white Iphone 5c for example, it is their choice and their phone.

I have ordered an iPhone 6 because it is better suited for me, like the 6 Plus is for others.

Cant wait to read the threads from people that had to have the 5.5" iPhone 6 PLUS, because it is supposed to be the ”flagship” phone, and cry because they dropped their phone because it “was” too big!

These will be the same people that yelled that the 5.5” phone “doesn’t exist” and that the 4.6” will be too big.

You know its coming.

Apple LOVES you guys!
