I haven't even looked over the rest of the thread, but one thing that's going against the 6 Plus is constant scaling.

http://arstechnica.com/apple/2014/0...-and-6-plus-apples-first-crack-at-big-phones/

Still, both phones are good, why start this subject?

Hey ;) I wrote that already...
I was thinking about ordering the plus, but the downscaling and 2,47 times more pixel with the same memory bandwidth made me reconsider...

I ordered a 6,64gb,space colored,

(I asked if I can have an even longer camera, but the genius said they can't make it longer ...)

Plus has a larger screen with higher ppi but it has lower contrast ratio and a little bit more lag during UI animations. Perhaps that part will be improved through software updates but the contrast ratio isn't going to change.

I was actually very shocked that they didn't have equal contrast ratios.

Heh, I like that.

But the Plus will be an amazing phone, just not for me. UI stutters bug me (my iPad 3 has numbed me to it though) and I just don't want a 5.5" phone so I went with 6.

I was, however, on the fence until I read that. Some people won't care, but I do.

Its sad to see so many posts on this forum like, "here's why i chose the 6 over the plus!"

Actually, its hilarious. So many grown adults trying to justify why, for whatever reason, they couldn't get the 6 plus.

Obviously its a better phone than the regular 6. You think there was an actual small supply of 6+'s? Apple purposefully bottlenecked/delayed the 6+'s because they knew everyone was clamoring for them.

So they made the 4.7's readily available for the impatient people.

C'mon guys be real with yourselves.

Oh lord. Why troll?

Your iPhone may be a plus, but something else isn't :)

Why can't people just be happy with what they have? The iPhone 6 is perfect for you? Awesome! iPhone 6+ is what you ordered? Sweet! Waiting on the Note 4? Cool! Still using that Sony Ericsson W710i? Even better. Haven't taken that Cingular Nokia Gophone off life support? That's ok!

Point is, just be happy with whatever phone you have and not trying to say why other people's choices are inferior and yours is 100% right.

Wow. At first these kind of threads were funny and fun to read, now it's just getting annoying.

I don't understand why people are arguing over something as minute as a personal decision. Those who got the plus aren't necessarily better than those who got the 6 or vice versa. People got the phone they want; just because the plus has some other features doesn't necessarily make it "superior," it's just because it's bigger and has more room. And honestly, 6 owners aren't "poor" or "cheap" - it's an expensive phone already! Personally, I can afford both but the 6 (Gold; 128GB) was better for me. It's the same reason why I buy the car, food, clothes, music, etc because it's what I want.

I wouldn't be surprised if the contrast ratio comes down to rounding. Could be that the 6+ averages 1349:1 and 6 1351:1 or something like that. My bet would be that the real world contrast ratios are essentially identical

OP is a boy pretending to be a man, get out in the work area with a 6 plus and I'll ridicule you like I do with anyone who carries a note lol

I think a moderator should just lock all threads starting with "my iPhone is better than..."

Agreed. It's bad enough on Android forums with all the "My Android phone is better than your Android phone." We don't want to encourage that here with just two iPhone variants.

Obviously its a better phone than the regular 6.

Trolling to one side, I don't agree with this at all.

The issue is that we've become accustomed to the notion that the biggest and most expensive product is necessarily the best. All that has changed now. Very few people thought the 4" too big, but once you hit 5", there are some perfectly legitimate concerns about the aesthetic, the usability and the portability. For me, they make the Plus an inferior model.

When I pre-ordered on Friday morning, I had the choice of any model I wanted, and I went for the 6. Not that there's anything wrong with the Plus, but it's unsuitable for me. I don't want the bulk and I do want one-handed operation. Plus, I wasn't persuaded by the additional features of the bigger phone.

Ultimately, nobody cares but the people trying to convince themselves. If a phone works for you, then it works for you.

So your saying Apple purposely constrained the 6+, thus causing large swaths of their customers to buy a $100 cheaper phone? Sounds like a great business plan to me :D

wow. what ignorance. think about what you just said. and then think about the differences between the two sizes.

Then report back here.

Haha the 6+ has confirmed 2gb ram.

Such a sad day for you vanilla 6'ers. ;)

If you make fun of someone because of their choice of cell phone, you're the one that ends up looking foolish.

I received my leather apple case today for the iPhone6 and the back pocket test shows it protruding slightly. It would be soooo uncomfortable to lug the 6+ around and as a FEATURE (being more compact than the 6+) I'd take that any day over a slightly better spec here or there.

I don't usually feed trolls, but when you get done playing with your shiny new toy in the bedroom of your parents home, put your money toward something that matters like buying your own home.

What's sad is when your life is centered around a phone. Big deal!!!

And I like how people turned "suggests" into "confirmed." :D

It's called cognitive dissonance. They're either hipsters who can't fit the 6+ in their skinny jeans or they're too poor to pony up the extra cash.

Nice, ignorant statement.

I ordered both, and I am going to try out both.

Did you know that a large screen can be a hinderance? Some people use their phones for exercise. Some don't want a large screen.

Anyway...I am getting tired of ignorant people on this forum.

I most likely will keep the 6 plus...but I won't think less of someone who choose the six...or even a 5s to be honest. I'm enlightened like that.

Your source please.

There is no source. No one knows yet.

Why wasn't this thread locked already?

Can't everyone just buy the phone they want? I don't wear skinny-jeans, have big hands, but just prefer a phone with a 4 or 4.7" screen over a 5.5" one, but I honestly couldn't care any less whether someone else feels differently about this.
