Yeah

I'll just say this: the first time I saw the icons displayed on the screen it looked like a fake phone shell made to look like a phone. The icons were so close to the glass I thought it couldn't be real until I touched one and it launched.

As a sysadmin at a Fortune 100 company I get to mess with hundreds and hundreds of employees phones: android, windows phone, iphone, blackberry, you name it even some obscure european types.

I've never seen a screen that clear before. I saw the Galaxy Note 4 tonight - that was in the neighborhood but their demo graphics were all very high contrast black and white, not sure what that was all about.

Forget everything you might have heard.

I finally own the device. Been using it for a day.

Every worry or concern should just fly right out the window because this thing delivers in spades and you don't notice it until you just reply to a text or something and suddenly it just coalesces into a feeling of pure artistry.

Forget the size, forget the criticism. This phone just goes. Its made to be smooth and beautiful and Apple has done it once again.

Everything about bend gate is meaningless. Everything about size and being too big is irrelevant.

Nothing anyone says can deny the art that is happening here. A marriage between soul and technology. Such an elegant tool has never before been created by man.

All the previous iPhones seem like just an evolution for the mastery we have reached now. Soon the iPad will match too and we will enter a new era of smoothness.

I think this device is a flawless masterpiece of perfection IMO that flies high above everything else and is perched comfortably on top of the throne.

AMEN BRUH... haters gonna hate. iPhone 6/6+ is a masterpiece.

I don't see why people are concerned about the IR Blaster. Bluetooth is better since it doesn't require a direct line of sight. I use the Remote app on my phone for my Apple TV. Do modern TV's not have Bluetooth? I had a Samsung app previously to control my TV if I remember correctly.

Sounds like someone is doing the masterstroke themselves lol

I have big hands and if I was undecided between the plus and LG G3, I would pick the G3. Don't get me wrong, I love Apple but the G3 is not as tall. To me the plus is just a taller iPhone 6. I tried to like the plus and I spent a good hour+ In the store playing with both and the iPhone plus just felt too big.

This is a huge part of what makes it so amazing! That embossed new screen layer is totally key to the way it feels. I 100% agree with you!

100 percent agree with op. Can't stop using the phone. Even when I don't have anything to do on it

The more I read these threads, the more I feel tempted to cancel my iPhone 6 backorder and order iPhone 6 Plus

I was about to say something similar.. OP needs to lay down the pipe. :D

Nonsense. The 6 and 6 Plus are significant design achievements. There's nothing wrong with the OP's exuberance. Especially in light of the unbridled bashing that goes on here 24/7. Besides, I'm a designer. I appreciate how much work goes into something like this. I'd love to see any of the detractors here do better. I doubt I could.

The OP's post is exactly the kind of post that brings the Android fanboys and 6 Plus haters into the light. They absolutely hate this kind of post, and as a result stick out in this thread like a sore thumb.

My ignore list thanks you, OP.

Do Android fanboys really hang out here?

Maybe it's just me but what achievements? I'm particularly concentrating on the size of the 6+. It has a 5.5" screen but manages to be the biggest one out of all the 5.5 inch screens out there. The bezels are big compared to the LG G3.. It's a lot taller than the G3. Moving on to the Note 4, it has a 5.7" screen but still manages to be smaller than the 6+. Don't say it's a hair thinner because there's a sacrifice to battery life. I'd rather have better battery life than saving < 1mm. The antenna bands are also an eyesore. I guess everyone has his/her opinions so I'm stating mine since I don't see what the fuss is about.

Since when is size the determining factor in good design?

I agree OP, theres espcially something special with the Space Grey iPhone and the screen the way it curves the blackness of the screen morphs into the edges like looking at it direct on its like a little pebble shell contoured in a way its beautiful

Size is one factor in determining good design by keep a compact footprint while maintaining the same display size. Don't tell me people would complain about this.

I like the size. I'm sure I can find just as many people who agree with me as agree with you.

Besides, the point is that size is a fairly arbitrary aspect to focus on when evaluating the overall design. Design isn't only about ergonomics or look. It's about those things and a whole lot more. But it's also about how those elements interact with each other and how they build to a whole that's (ideally) greater than the sum of its parts.

I agree. The noise is meaningless. They've made a powerful pocketable iOS device. Now we need iOS and the apps to catch up.

Honestly, for +/- $900.00, it better be a work of art, and practically perfect, at that!

If you don't think you paid a lot for this phone, you've been fooled by monthly payments. Go ahead and buy it outright, or quit ATT, in a few months and see what you owe. I've had a lot of phones before, and this one is by far the most expensive. Better get a case for it!
