Any idea what timeframe those individuals ordered? I had seen a bunch of people were moved from early October to "Backordered".... I assume those will be the ones getting the phones on launch.

I'm not panicked as it's just a phone and the 5 I have now is fine another week.. it's just a little bit of a disappointment if I stayed up till 3am and don't get in on the fun of launch day excitement.

Also, it seems that the size and color ordered will play a part. I am curious what the demand looked like across the spectrum with sizing and colors...

I would assume I made the "smart" move going space grey (I assume they produce a ton of these) but the 128 piece is probably lower production (meaning if a lot of early orders were in this sizing, I'm likely out of luck)

He got his confirmation email at 1:55 am CDT, I got mine 1:45 am CDT. So should be fine.

Ordered 128 GB silver 6 + at 1:50 CST on AT&T. Phone was supposed to ship 9/13 then got bumped to 10/2-10/13

Straight from AT&T operator online. Apparently shipping estimates are likely NOT to change. Hope this helps.

really hard for me to believe since every other company that is offering pre order of the 6+ is shipping for a 9/19 delivery...ATT cant be the only carrier to have delayed shipping. they are the biggest carrier out there aren't they? So why would they be the only ones to not live up to expectation. I just don't buy it

My 64GB + is supposed to be 10/7 according to the email I got...the pre-order status still shows "in process"

I ordered 6+ 128 silver At&t FROM apple about 25 min into preorder start and have always had a 10/1-7 estimated delivery date.

At least you guys know something I don't know anything at all :(

In retrospect, all those reports regarding short supply of the i6 + were true, what I don't understand is why Apple would begin taking pre-orders knowing they were currently in short supply.

I would have much rather have them scheduled a release on the 6 + a month later rather than at the same time. But, it's a business and they're all in it to make money.

Yep. To create an air of scarcity and drive up the desire for the 6 Plus.

I'd remove the order number...just for security's sake.

I have one 16gb Space grey 6+ for AT&T that is preparing for shipment on Apple.com. Looking it up on UPS have me a tracking number and packagemapping.com says it is in Mount Juliet, TN. The serial number I could get from my support profile came up as being made in week 35 which I believe might be early September.

I also have one 16gb gold 6+ for Sprint which is preparing for shipment. Apple has taken the money but there is no tracking available yet.

Why are people even ordering the 16gb model? You'll fill that up in 5 minutes. 32gb should have been the base model. 16 is pathetic.

I've been using 16GB iPhones for years and my entire app and music library fit comfortably on them. I currently have 5GB free.

Cool story, but with 64 bit apps being larger, better games taking up more and more space, photos and videos adding up, and the fact that phones run like crap when the space is nearly filled, I could never live with 16gb.

I'm not sure that people who are okay with 16gb are truly using their smartphone. Maybe on a basic, fundamental level, but definitely not like some of us use them. I don't need 128, but 16 is too little. 32 is my minimum, even with expandable storage.

I finally got through on the Apple App at 1:02 am PST on September 12th. My credit card has not been pinged as of yet, and I received a ship time of 7-10 days with delivery October 1-6 for my silver 128gb iPhone Plus.

Define "truly using their smartphone." I stream videos, play games (albeit not graphics-intensive ones) record videos and so on. I just don't have a 5,000+ song and photo library stored locally.

I don't have any local music. But my Spotify cache, Pocket cache, and comiXology files fill up several gigs alone.

I do just fine with 16. All my music is stored on google play music. All my pictures are stored on Google + Photos/Picasa. I don't play a lot of games. All my documents and files are stored on Dropbox and Google Drive. 16 is all I need.

As of now, status is still "Processing items" at Apple.com, with Oct. 1 - Oct. 6 expected delivery. iPhone 6 Plus 64 GB Space Gray, AT&T. Ordered at 3:00 am Central (one hour late thanks to non-functional websites) from Apple Store iOS app.

I'm pretty annoyed because the app indicated 9/19 delivery but email confirmation (and all information since) shows 10/1-10/6. But in the end, it's not that bad and I have a feeling I'll get it before the end of this month.

Apple was smart to keep the 16gb and get rid of the 32gb. Cause otherwise if the 32gb was the base size many would of opt for that instead of paying the extra $100 for the 64gb.

64 6plus gold here order on AT&T at 3:15 am est or so was nervous because I never got email con, so order on apple about 3:45 am. I got both charges on my statement but AT&T canceled the other one since apple one went through first.
Got tracking info on Saturday after I signed up for ups choice. Week 35 build n is In TN now 9/19 couldn't come any faster. Lol

Me too. Never understood why people ended the 32, 64 and now 128 models. It's "the cloud" world we're living in now, people… :).. "Local Storage" is like so 2008... :p

Yes I know that using iTunesMatch and Google Play could require data from your data plan… But do you really listen to all 5000 of your songs out there on cellular towers during the course of the day??!?. I don't think any of us do that. I just take my 5 to 6 favorite playlists and download them locally to my phone… Will never need more than 16 GB for me. Cloud baby! It's 2014!! :)

You can't store app caches in the cloud. Or comics. Or applications. Or offline music from Spotify/Slacker.

Like I said, there are people who really use their phones and people who don't. And that's okay. But 16gb of storage is more 2012 than 2014. Samsung is guilty of it, too. At least Apple doesn't let the carriers put a bunch of unremovable bloatware on the phone.

All of those things are measured in KB not even MB much less GB. Cache files are small - and though app files are larger 16GB is enough room for hundreds and hundreds of App Store apps.

The only plausible argument people could make to me for the 32, 64 or 128 GB versions are for people who absolutely love taking HD video on their phone. Or for amateur semi-pro photographers who want to have HDR versions of all photos taken and they take hundreds and hundreds of photos. I could see that taking up some room. But 95% of the people that buy the larger phones state they do it for their music libraries. That's just not needed with iTunesMatch ( costs $) and Google play. (Free I'm pretty sure).

I'm not bashing anyone who uses their phone for local storage of all their music… I'm just saying that it certainly isn't "necessary" as some claim. I have an over 6000 song library and it's all in the cloud… I have access to every single song and every single piece of artwork at anytime of the day I want it… I simply don't have to store it on my phone :)..

My 64gb 6+ is still in limbo right now.

I called multiple times but everyone seems to clueless.

AT&T 16gb iPhone 6 Plus - Gold

I have read many forums and I have come to the conclusion that the carriers got the shaft from Apple. I have seen where people ordered from Apple (somehow, perhaps from the Apple Store App) and are receiving 9/19/14 ship dates, where as most all of the carriers are showing October ship dates. Let;s hope the dates are not correct. Here's my 2 cents worth......

Sept 12, 2014 at 2:33am CST I arrived at my confirmation screen for a iPhone 6 plus (16gb Gold) and 2:34am CST received a confirmation email from my bank for a $1.00 purchase to AT&T. As I checked the status of my order, it stated: Preparing to Ship (10-31-14 to 11-11-14), as I kept checking back obsessively, it eventually turned to (10-13-14 to 10-22-14). It still states this date. Perhaps it will surprise me and come on 9-19-14, but there is nothing I have found online that backs that up. Apple.com web site was down for hours, AT&T online store became live about 2:28am CST. Why aren't we getting our iPhone on (9-19-14)????
