iPhone 6 Plus ONLY Pre-order Status

I'd like to see a JB sooner compared to how long we waited with the iPhone 5.

Since I will be out of town with my wife and kids in Orlando at Disney World starting the 18th, I selected in store pick up. I've arranged for another family member that's also on our AT&T bill to pick it up for me. I might not be able to play with my iPhone 6 plus until the 2nd of October since I go straight to San Francisco for the Oracle Open World conference after vacation.

that's a long wait..ha ha...

We are going to Disney World on the 21st..so I am hoping the 19th holds up' otherwise, it will be in limbo for a week or so.

Enjoy Orlando and subsequently San Francisco.

128 GB Gold ordered at 2:31 CDT says will be delivered by 9/19 but does have a tracking number and a support profile sighting.

Stating the obvious here, but it seems like orders from carriers got pushed back. This was the first direct order from Apple for my wife and I and the first time we have been in the first delivery batch..assuming it holds up..and that's just an assumption at this time.

Made our reservation on our 20th anniversary after my wife and I spent the day at Disneyland. When we got home, we decided to celebrate our 20th again with our 2 young boys at Disney World where my wife and I spent 2 weeks on our honeymoon 20 years ago. Who knew this years launch would be a day before we leave... LOL... Looking forward to spending a nice vacation with my family over a phone anyway. When I get back orlando, I may have some time to activate it before getting on the plane to SF.

Hope things works out for you and your wife's orders... and I hope you have a great time at Disney World too... hopefully with your iPhone 6 plus. I'll be jelly if I see you walking around... or anyone... with their iPhone 6 plus.

Convinced that those who went through AT&T are getting shafted (perhaps true for Verizon as well).

I ordered the 128 gig space grey 6+ through AT&T at roughly 3:30am EST. Was initially given 11/3-11/17 ... two days ago, changed to 10/2-10/13...

I've seen people who ordered through Apple's app store at the same time frame and they are getting theirs on launch day.

Glad I didn't cancel my order out of frustration from AT&T as it will likely arrive far sooner than if I had canceled and reordered through Apple.. it's just annoying to know I did my part to get in on the action and will receive it after those who ordered from Apple's app store..... live and learn though.. next time I'll try that (I wanted to go through apple.com but it was a mess).

Any idea what timeframe those individuals ordered? I had seen a bunch of people were moved from early October to "Backordered".... I assume those will be the ones getting the phones on launch.

I'm not panicked as it's just a phone and the 5 I have now is fine another week.. it's just a little bit of a disappointment if I stayed up till 3am and don't get in on the fun of launch day excitement.

Also, it seems that the size and color ordered will play a part. I am curious what the demand looked like across the spectrum with sizing and colors...

I would assume I made the "smart" move going space grey (I assume they produce a ton of these) but the 128 piece is probably lower production (meaning if a lot of early orders were in this sizing, I'm likely out of luck)

That's a great story. We were married at Disney World on 9/16 so we try to go if we're lucky each year around that time to celebrate. So, we booked before the announcement..ha ha. I'll try to keep it hidden if we have it. I lost my 5s on a Disney bus so may be for the best if it doesn't get here!!

I ordered on 09/12 at 3:01 EST from Verizon's website. I got the 16 GB Space grey and my shipping date is 10/14. I am not happy about that since I ordered one minute after the site went live. I should have at least got a ship date of Oct 1-6. I was hoping I could at least have it on my birthday which is the 5th. I know some have to wait until Nov but it still annoys me since I ordered so soon.

iPhone 6 Plus Update from AT&T

Ordered 128 GB silver 6 + at 1:50 CST on AT&T. Phone was supposed to ship 9/13 then got bumped to 10/2-10/13

Straight from AT&T operator online. Apparently shipping estimates are likely NOT to change. Hope this helps.

There are just NO iPhone 6 Pluses to be had anymore, for the time being. Unless you go roam physical store that received an allocation of 6 Pluses.

Apple themselves had a 7-10 day wait damn near right after launch. Apple doesn't have it themselves.

Best case scenario is Apple prioritize the 6 Plus now, the phones are manufactured in the next week or so, then another few days of waiting while they're shipped over here (by air, no less) and gets distributed.

In retrospect, all those reports regarding short supply of the i6 + were true, what I don't understand is why Apple would begin taking pre-orders knowing they were currently in short supply.

I would have much rather have them scheduled a release on the 6 + a month later rather than at the same time. But, it's a business and they're all in it to make money.

I meant the numerous people who bought with 19th delivery dates and have had them pushed back. I would assume AT&T knew exactly how many launch day phones they'd get.

They probably didn't.

Do you see more One M8's, Galaxy SIII/S4/S5, Nexus 5's, Moto X, etc around, or Note-sized phablets.

I'm sure right now the market is heavily skewed towards the 4.7-5.1 inch phones than 5.5+".

Until Apple came along.

Honestly I wish they had made the specs for the iPhone 6 the same as the 6 Plus. I'd much rather have the 6.
