Your shipping dates will change over the next 24 to 72 hours and many if not most of you will receive your phones on launch day if you ordered between 11:45pm and 12:20'ish am PDT on preorder night.

FWIW, I ordered from AT&T at 12:01 PDT
My status at AT&T still says 10/13-10/22 delivery.
However, UPS My Choice now shows a delivery of an iphone for this Friday 9/19
So the issue appears to be incompetent inventory/order tracking info on the part of AT&T, not any actual delay in getting my phone.
Likely the case for others too.

But now the bad news... this might be my wifes phone ordered from Apple.
I had thought her phone would be address to her, but I had her check her order and while it shows it BILLS to her, it SHIPS to me (since I'm primary on the account).
She's getting a 6 Plus 64GB space gray... ordered from apple around 4:30 eastern time. 90 minutes after my AT&T order. And she has had a 9/19 date since the order.
So it's entirely possible I'm still not getting mine till the 10/13-10/22 date AT&T shows despite having ordered it 90 minutes earlier.
We won't know for sure till apple gives her a tracking # and we see if it's different from the one I see for myself in UPS My Choice.

just go to UPS' website and sign up for my choice. It's free. Then download the ups app from app store sign in with your login name and password. Click on My Choice and it will show you if you have a shipment in the system for Friday. Mine shows right there for September 19. Verizon customers use FedEx. AT&T and Apple use UPS.

That would be a great idea if "My choice" could verify my address through my phone number.(I assume cause my phone is in the middle of an upgrade). So I am stuck wondering, one day I am pretty sure I am going to get it on launch, the next I am sure I wont get it. Now I know what it feels like to be a person that should be committed...jesus we are crazy people, as all of this talking and worrying will do nothing to get our phones in our hand. But hey its better then doing drugs right? or is it.....lol....

umm this says an iPhone 6, right?
So, without doing anything other than entering your address, the app will recognize "hey a package is coming to this address" and show it? If so, that's a pretty neat trick.
As I DON'T have anything listed there, I suppose that means the device is not en route and won't arrive launch day... which I guess aligns with the 10/2-10/13 delivery they listed

iPhone 6 Plus, 64GB, Silver. Ordered through Verizon preorder at 1AM Pacific on 9/12. "Processing" began early morning on 9/14, charge on the credit card went through in the late-evening of 9/14 and the phone shipped with a tracking number early morning on 9/15 via UPS Overnight. The label has been created, but has a created date of 9/18, so I don't expect movement until then.
I can't wait! I have always thought phablets were too big but I hope my mind has changed since then. Being a tall guy I have big hands, and playing around with the cut outs of the 2 iPhone 6's, I'm pretty sure I'll be more then happy with the bigger size. Guess I'll find out Friday!

Just use the other verification method they allow at the UPS website. Where they ask you questions. Worked for me as they couldn't verify my phone either..
Hey for you guys that have chosen "hold for will call" via UPS My Choice, do you notice that it says delivery by 9/19, but available to be picked up by 9/25?

I just checked UPS via a tracking reference number (phone number on the order placed through Apple) and I found both of my tracking number for the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 +

It won't change to shipped until Thursday, then Apple will email you a tracking #. Happened with my iPhone 5 pre-order. Apple automatically will upgrade you to Next-day Air if you've got a launch date confirmation email (9/19).

Mine still says I can pick it up on 9/19. Mine is being delivered to a UPS service center though, not a UPS store, etc.

Seems like the earliest pre-orders from Apple are getting their 6+'a on Friday. But I haven't read about ANY 6+'s from AT&T preorder getting here by Friday. Many Verizon preorder 6+ coming Friday too. Seems like AT&T people getting screwed for 6+.

Yep. It's funny - I have come to know Apple as a tech company with a good track record on many issues, but the one thing where Apple is not just good, great or amazing but absolutely perfect is getting things delivered to customers on the launch date.No worries!!
