-iPad apps would be great on the iPhone 6, it could even eliminate the need for some people to own an iPad.-

This is precisely why I will most likely sell my iPad once getting the 6+. Apple may have shot their selves in the foot on this one. Hoping the next iPad will be more computer like... It's going to have to be!

I thought I could get a better idea of the size of the iPhone 6 Plus if I could get a cardboard cutout to hold a cardboard cutout of the phone. How's it look?

Apple. Didn't shoot themselves in the foot. If anything they created A new category of smartphone on which they make more profit than an IPad. And you'll replace that Phablet more often than that IPad

I am in the same boat, I am going to Pre-order a 64GB 6 plus tonight unlocked t mobile, and if i don't like it i have 14 days or INCASE it is actually locked i can just send it back threw the mail. Either way i get to atleast play around with it without leaving my house to go to the apple store. don't mind waiting if none are in stock after the 14 days if i indeed to return it.

ONE IMPORTANT QUESTION THOUGH, is it 14 days from pre-order or when it ships? Anyone know?

A new category? come on!

When you say, "tonight", where are you?

The plus will be this year's gold iPhone. I think they are underestimating the demand. Shortages for sure!

I expect so many returns and exchanges in the first few weeks due to people not knowing what they want. That will most likely be the reason why Apple will run quicker than normal. A 5.5” phone of any type will require many life changes and until you live with it on a daily basis you really don’t know.
For instance I wear long sleeve pocket shirts at work. With the iPhone 5s it fits my shirt pocket no problem. But with the Note 4 I look like a dork with half the phone sticking out like a pocket protector. I’m limited to my 2 front pockets on my khakis. One does not put a large phone in their back pockets especially a thin phone like the 5.5” (or 4.7”).

I would like to thank everyone for this discussion. I really want a 5.5 for work. I would even like to get a stand and keyboard for meetings so I can type notes. I won't have any problem fitting it into my pocket.

My issue is, if I am going to use it for its health functions, I couldn't imagine exercising with a 5.5 phone with a protective case. I might be back to using an iPad or getting a macbook air for meetings.

Also, for this reason I won't be preordering tonight. Will need to think on this for awhile because I keep phones for two years.

Can you return to a store or does it have to be online. Thanks!

I'm 6'3" 200 lbs and tried a friend's note three today in the front pocket of normal\slightly loose jeans. The note was in a thin case that folded over the screen and fit fine, even when sitting. I have thinner legs so it may differ with body type

I own a 5s, a to scale iPhone 6 model phone and a couple of iPhone 6 plus cases and did a variety of tests to answer my own questions about size of the plus.

While the 6 plus will take some getting used to it is not THAT bad. Here are my results and hope it helps some of you out:

I am not promoting or selling anything so I am hopeful this is ok to post here. Again this is to hopefully help answer questions about the size of the phone.

This is an excellent comparison video between the sizes. Especially since you actually had a dummy model to put up to your head, and inside your jeans. Gives me a better idea of how big it would be when holding it up to my head. And in my pocket.

That's a great video. I was leaning towards the Plus, but it just looks way too big. The iPhone 6 looks really good though.

I would say what ever you get just get the 64GB or you will be sorry. I don't even store movies and music on my Note 3 primary storage (I use the SD Card for that) and I only have 11.45GB out of 32GB left. I had the 16GB iPhone 5S and regretted the size I got big time. And don't forget that with a 1980x1080p display programs and media will consume more space.

Thanks for the video. It definitely helped. I've decided on the 6+ because I think I need the bigger screen since I do so much on my phone. My eyes, even at 33, are not the best thanks to astigmatism and surgery, so bigger is better for me. Plus, I take a lot of pics of still objects in my business so the OIS will be good for me. And I'm a girl so I have a nice big purse to carry it in. :p

I think my iPad Air will still be good for some things, but my mini may be much less used when I get the +

I think I'll be good with a 16 GB 6 plus model. I have a 16 GB iPhone 5 now and I have 9.4 GB free! :)

I stopped by the AT&T store today and looked at both the LG G3 and the Note 3. The LG G3 was not too big for me at all. The Note was a little wider than the G3 it seemed. I'm almost 95% sure on the 6 Plus

LG G3 has the thinnest bezels for a phone at this time. The 6 plus will be noticeably taller.
