If, the iPhone 6+ cut out is correct, it's actually not big at all... I think it's a bit small with my hands.

Here's me holding the cutout and my current iPhone 5 w/ case

That definitely doesn't seem right. Did you put your iPhone against the 5S cutout?

I'm sure the 6 will outsell the 6 Plus. I remember last year when they came out with the gold color. Sounded like everyone wanted that color, but in the end Space Grey sold the most, followed by silver. There may be an initial rush to buy the Plus, but the 6 will probably by far sell the most. Just like with Samsung. Sure the Note sells a lot, but the GS4 vastly outsells the Note.

it's the lowest price point so that alone will help it a lot too.....

i like space gray, it's the perfect in the middle color but the others have white around screen which i do think makes the screen pop a tad more.......i have white iPhone 5 and loved it (already in past tense! yes!!) my first white was 5, all others were black....

iPhone 6 Plus too big?

I'm pretty much set on a 6+ if it wasn't for the trail/fell running that it do. Not quite sure where to put it. I'm afraid it will look ridiculous in an armband ;)

I do hikes around the lake. This has been my concern too. I wonder if apple will make an armband? I need to put it somewhere while I walk the dog. My pockets are not that deep.

Apple is supposed to make our lives easier not more complicated. I feel like I'm changing my lifestyle to accommodate a big iphone. Lol.

wait, your dog doesn't know how to carry your phone yet?? what are you teaching him, how to sit or eat a bone??

where there is a will there is a way

That pick looks about right. I did a cardboard cutout to the exact specs of the Plus. It's looks that size in my hand too.

i love the guy who made an iPhone 6+ with legos, i forget what thread but he def gets the award for most creative!!!

I think a lot of people are printing it out with the option "fit to page" selected.

i dare you! do it and post pics! HAHA!

I'm going to have to weigh out 6 ounces. Maybe I will use cooked Al Dente noodles and eatable glue that way I can eat it after I test it out. Lol

Maybe pop tarts?

slight problem, the phones may be bigger than heidi, love dachshunds....

well if you could keep her like flat stanley for a day, she could be your tester, then you would save on the macaroni!!

xx

My poor Nero. He already carries the GoPro, if he now also has to carry my phone when joining me on a run. Then again he is a handsome tall Labrador. He can do it.

I'm going for it anyway. If it is too big I may just have to get s 6 as well :p

You're right, the printer printed it smaller then its actual size. I compared my current 5 with the 5S cutout and this is the accurate one. Even then, it's not that big on my hands. I can still type with one hand. I do have to shift my hand around a little bit to reach the notification center area or other parts of the screen but it reminds me of the same thing that happened when I upgraded from the 4S to the 5.

Prepare for all the I cracked my iPhone large I mean plus, screen by sitting on it. Forgot to take it out of the only pocket it fitted...the back one on my jeans.

And then the I got robbed posts. Had my iPhone large in the only pocket it fitted...back jeans pocket and someone took it out without me noticing.

*large means apple took the macdonalds route. Would you like to go large on your purchase

I can tell you from that past two years of owning 5.5" and up phones (Samsungs and now HTC one max), you ain't pulling luggage in an airport and texting with one hand at a the same time!

Been there, done that! I don't mind, because I don't text very much, and the screen size is what I really like, but that's when I really notice it's VERY hard to do. BTW.... I have large hands and it's still very tough.

Is it impossible? No. You just teeter on possibly dropping the phone at any time. And in the airport is where I really notice it because of the need to use the phone and usually being in a rush.

I can tell you now, there are going to be ALOT of dropped iPhone stories!

The option for custom keyboards in iOS8 could solve this problem on the 6+ though. As long as your hand is big enough to comfortably hold the 6+, you would just need a keyboard the size of the 5s positioned on the side closest to your thumb. Not as easy as a 5 but might be feasible.

Why did Apple build such a monstrous, clumsy iPhone 6+ ?

A whopping 11.8 mm taller and 3.2 mm wider, it's hard to imagine Jony Ive couldn't do any better than this hulking phone.

Both the LG + iPhone have 5.5" displays.

LG's designers make Jony look like a newbie in design. The sleek and beautiful G3 is proof of what can be made if you have a good design engineer.

Check out the dimensions:

158.1 x 77.8 x 7.1 mm -- iPhone 6 +
(6.22 x 3.06 x 0.28 in)

146.3 x 74.6 x 8.9 mm -- LG G3
(5.76 x 2.94 x 0.35 in)

Where is the biometric security sensor located on the HTC?

When I read the first rumors about two larger iPhones I decided to get the 4.7" as I thought that all the Android phablets looks rediculous. Then as the Keynote ended I was certain to get the iPhone 6 Plus :p

Now, I'm not so sure ...

A few years ago, before the large screen craze started we were all obsessive about the weight, what happened to that? As nice as the new iPhone 6 Plus is, I think alot of us will grow tired about the weight of it, it's almost 180g! That, combined with the physical size makes it a device that you for sure will know that you have in your pocket

I'm pretty sure I'll go with the 4.7". I'll always hate that I didn't get OIS but I'm sure It will be added in the iPhone 6 S. Screen size is fine, when I need a larger screen for browsing, reading magazines, watching film and productivity I'll use my fabulous iPad Air

To me, a phone should be light and inobtrusive. It should be a device that I always cary with me, no matter what. I'm afraid that the large and heavy iPhone 6 Plus will be left at home every now and again and that my current iPhone 5 will continue to give me service. When I'm at home or on a plane or train the iPad is the best device for me.

Added to this equation is the new "hand off", I'm still tied to a laptop at work and iPad at home, the 4.7" will slot in nicely between them. The iPhone is a complement, not a replacement.

...and remember that a gentleman doesn't flaunt his assets, discretion is a sign of good manner

I agree that weight is a concern. The 6+ is going to be over 200g with a case on it. That is heavy

I just weighed my 5s at 137g with case vs a 4s with case at 156g.

You can definitely feel the 19g difference.

Well said sir!

Yeah. Fit to page should not be selected. And also people need to make sure that scaling is set to 100% before printing them out.

I too am conflicted but I'm leaning toward the 6 Plus. There's no doubt it's a big phone and it's going to be way less convenient to carry around and use one handed, but for me the size of the screen makes it a best of both worlds between a phone and a tablet. I have an iPad2 which I basically never use. Whenever I read an article or watch a video I always reach for my phone which is always near me, my iPad is always in the other room and then I get annoyed that I'm consuming all this content on such a small screen. iPhone 6 Plus essentially solves this problem for me. The few differences of the Plus over the 6 are nice to haves but not really a factor in my decision.
The sooner people come to this conclusion the better. They can stop spending money on a tablet that will end up collecting dust.

My iPads sit around unused because my usage patterns are the same as yours and most of my friends for that matter. Fun when new, then the device becomes just another paper weight.
