Ordered!

If this has curved edges, like a hard contact lens, installation would be tricky if you didn't put it on just right. I can see trying to install, not getting it on just right, and the edges cracking off.

Hope it's easy!

Been following this thread while await delivery of my iPhone 6 plus. I nearly ordered the spigen off amazon but glad I found this forum. I have just found this from a company called iloome claiming to have full screen protection!

Lets just hope they can get it order soon

Thanks for posting that. If its a decent cover with rounded edges and they are first to market.... and it looks like they will be. They are gonna make a pile of $$$$.... including mine!

I've never used a glass protector (only Power Support crystal films). Can I use a case with a glass protector or are they much thicker than plastic ones?

I just got spigen's new screen protectors in the mail, not a big difference except for the cut out for the FaceTime camera, but i mean who needs that cut out. the screen won't make a big difference. plus i only use that for FaceTime.

Did they send it out to you after you ordered the original ones without the camera cut outs?

This? http://www.iloome.com/iPhone-4-7-Screen-Protector-Tempered/dp/B00NB9CPTG Doesn't refer to this unique feature at all. Guess I'll wait for some reviews.

Hey! yes they did. I ordered it on amazing and it came before my iPhone came in the mail and then i got an email maybe on saturday saying "oh we are sending you new protectors!"

Went and checked it out in store, sadly same problem, the cutout does not go far enough to edges :(

yes i know what u mean  i remember putting cases on my previous iphones and it would go over the screen protector and it would start coming off! like the case would push it up and bubble.... so i guess this is a happy medium for me lol. as long as it covers the screen itself im okay.

im so glad i put one on because i was debating not to. then when everyone saw my phone today they wanted to touch it LOL  i got a lot of comments about how big the 6+ was... then after a few minutes they were all convinced about wanting one heheh :apple:

touching it wouldn't cause scratches. I honestly think this screen only scratches if in contact with keys.

We need a spray on protector! Too bad the rub on sapphire film did not get good reviews.

Until someone comes out with a preformed protector, I am going naked. At least until I can't take it any more.

I do not like the look (and I am sure I would not like the feel) of the SPs not covering the glass edges.

My opinion, anyway.

Ya, I'm thinking the same thing. It's like the curve part of the screen is sensitive to specific types of swipes. I've noticed that it feels so much nicer and the swipes are so much more accurate w/o a screen protector. I hate scratches tho :(

----------

I've had iPhones since the day they were available and have never used a screen protector, and have never had a scratch.

Is this just a preference?

What are y'all protecting from?
Fingerprints?

scratches.. and bad memories of palm pilots, etc.

I carry mine in my front pocket (never with keys, etc). But scared to not protect it... you carry yours in your pocket? bag? No micro scratches either?

Yuck, stay away from iCarez. I'm sticking with my Zagg Glass, once they send me my replacement.

I used the film for 6+ and it's nearly perfect. The install kit allowed me to line it up perfectly. What was wrong with your use?

...thats odd that you would post about the Orzly protectors (I'm not so sure that you are even telling the truth - you're not from sales are you?), because I sent them an email the other day and this was their response (my email is in blue, their reponse in red):

Hi.

Quick question regarding your tempered glass protectors for the iphone6. Do these cover the WHOLE of the glass of the iPhone 6 ? The reason I ask is because, so far, all other protectors I have found (both glass and normal flimsy ones) do not actually cover the whole of the front of the phone due the iPhone 6 having a curved display.

Most protectors I have seen so far actually stop short of the edge of the phone (so look a little bit odd) - are yours the same?!

Hi Dino,

Unfortunately this is how our screen protectors function too. We are working very hard to ensure our screen protectors sit as tight to the curve as possible before being released, the best thing to do is perhaps wait for our video on the product. If you subscribe to our youtube channel you can be informed as soon as the video is online, on the video we will give a thorough look at the fitting amongst other things.

Sorry I do not have a more definite answer for this.

...seems that their protectors will NOT cover the whole of the iPhone 6's front either.:(

UPDATE!!!

Just received an update on the above - Orzly emailed with further news on their screen protectors for the iPhone 6:

a quick followup to our conversation yesterday; I have been informed by our production staff that the screen protector will be much taller and wider than our previous mould of the Glass Screen for iPhone 6. We've always been strong on Glass Screens and I'm confident that again the iPhone 6 Tempered glass will be the best on the market. I honestly think waiting for the video is the best idea as a lot of the images on forums are misleading, currently the video is scheduled for Thursday so keep an eye out then.

Hope this helps.

Sounds like they are indeed developing a glass protector which will cover a little more of the screen area on the iPhone 6.

Stay tuned for more.....!!!!!

....further update:

Orzly's website is now showing tempered glass screen protectors for the iPhone 6 which has a cutout which goes ALL AROUND the home button of the iPhone (first time I have seen this):

http://orzly.com/manufacturers/appl...-glass-screen-protector-for-iphone-6-4-7.html

I have emailed them to confirm if the images on their website (with the FULL cutout for the home button) are indeed 100% true for the iPhone 6 tempered glass. As soon as they confirm this, I am placing my order - not bad for only £14.99 + delivery!

Also shows 'Available for dispatch: 24|09|14 '

not sure who i feel about is having an adhesive on the back. i mean i know most have something, but the description made it seem like glue. If you buy it please post pics when recvd.

...actually, now you mention it, the description states the following:

'The back of each screen is covered with a strong silicon adhesive for easy installation and prevention of any gaps between your device and the screen protector'

...wonder what that is exactly - a strong 'silicon'? Does that mean its gonna leave residue on the screen if you peel the protector off!?

Might have to send them another email to find out................!!

If that glass is flat, it is going to overhang the curved edges. If the pic is correct, the part that goes under the home button will stick out.

....perhaps that is why (quoted from their website) "The back of each screen is covered with a strong silicon adhesive for easy installation and prevention of any gaps between your device and the screen protector"

...maybe they use the silicone on the back to close up this gap?!

In a previous reply from Orzly, he stated that they would put up a video on their website, showing the protector for the iPhone 6 so I guess, I'm gonna have to wait for that to see how exactly its gonna work.
