mine is bluish . no yellow screen. however, people should know that this is not a defect and its screen calibration color. if you jailbreak the iphone when its available. purchase a tweak called color profile. it will make your screen bluish as much as you want. if your only issue is yellow. then do not worry about it at all.

Love color profiles!

my 128gig is a nice screen already without it, but it'll be nice fine tuning.

My rMini and 5 benefit quite a bit from temperature tweaking and bold effect :D

iPhone 6, Space Gray, 128GB, unlocked, pre-ordered in Germany over Apple's Web Store.

Manufacturer: C39

Screen nicely colored & saturated (no interlacing/Scan lines whatsoever which were common in the 5s).

But...huge but, at least to me: The Screen backlight is not uniform, left side noticably warmer than right side. Really kills enjoyment out of reading Text, Zinio, etc.

Everything Else is Perfect, no flaws except the screen uniformity.

Sending it back.

you should have not posted that, some on here will tell you that yellow crap screen is professionally calibrated, but what they won't tell you is, 1950's standard

Lol! Exactly, I'll take the "non-calibrated" screen every time! Some other dude can convince him self it's "correct". I'll gladly suffer with my beautiful, clear "non-correct" display!

Also, I noticed something while using the iphone6 on max brightness for 40min, it just suddenly dimmed to about 40% while browsing but the brightness is still maxed(btw, auto bright off). So i turned off the phone and after checking the brightness at 40% it looks dimmer than iphone 5 and 4 at the same settings. My iphone5 has that yellow tint too :(

Dang, that is piss yellow. One of the worst examples. Did you replace it yet?

As I said, liking a display no matter how off it is from being properly calibrated is certainly your choice. To be happy about being ignorant about the way a display should look is weird. :)

Some of the "yellowish" screens here are way to warm/yellow.

Here is mine. What do you all think? iPhone 5 on the right.

Mine is warm on left cool on the right. iPhone 6 plus. Sending it back for $1000 should be even color scheme, purchased unlocked, phone is in perfect condition which is the worst part! But the screen looks worse compared to my 5s! I'll wait a few months ##

Same issue on my 6. I decided to live with it as the screen lottery is a frustrating and time consuming game to play...this was until I noticed 3 hot white stuck pixels in the top left corner. Here we go again, why can't Apple get their display QC under control?!

These phones aren't cheap and nobody should settle for a less than perfect display.

I sent mine in (uneven "spotlighting" across the top) and got back a 100% perfect iPhone 6. No discoloration, pixels, gradient... So there is hope.

I'm in the same boat as everyone on this thread. I have replaced my iPhone 6 twice already. Here are my observations:

1. I've compared my iPhone 6 to BestBuy, Verizon and Apple demo phones and there is a big difference in brightness and color temperature.

a. Perhaps they have "demo" units that are different than the retail units
b. Perhaps leaving the phone on "demo" mode all day long "fixes" the display
c. We all just have the worst luck and have in fact received "defective" displays

2. Most people probably don't notice the variation and/or care.

3. There seems to be 2 different problems: backlight and temperature of the display

4. Not sure if there is a difference in display manufacturers (ie. LG vs Samsung or whoever is supplying Apple the displays).

5. My 1st phone started with "DN" and had a good temperature and backlight display, but dead pixels. My 2nd phone started with "F17" and has yellowish hue. My 3rd iPhone started with "DN" and has good temperature but uneven backlight (and dimmer compared to many retail units)

I realize that there will be slight variations of the display because of manufacturing processes and defects, but when it comes to purchasing a phone that is $500+, I would expect the my retail unit to be in the same, if not better, condition than the display units. For those with "perfect" displays, I am curious what serial number you have.

Definitely experienced the screen variations over here. One is uniformly yellow all over. One is cool on the right and warm on the left. Definitely minor subtleties but noticeable. Sometimes it drives me crazy and some times I don't notice.

My 6 compared to my new 6 plus. Yellow tint is real and is a defect. I feel sorry for anybody who got unlucky. So pleased with my new 6 plus. Everything looks better than the 6 i am returning

Your 6+ looks glorious. What serial Num does it start with? I'm FK1 and have yellow tinting on my 6+

Perhaps gathering serial num we can have which plant is producing the better quality and the poorer screens.

Unfortunately that won't help. The "plants" don't make the screens. They just install them. No way to know what you get till you turn it on...

Same here sent mine back going to wait and re order later on,

I compared both my 6 & 6+ with my brand new Z3 and my friend's IP4. Both of mine came out very yellowish. I guess it's time to visit genius bar to get both of them replaced.

If you read Anadtechs review you'll see the iPhone 6 is close to D6500 whitepoint (warm tones) than even the 6+ (more in the 7000s) (bluer tones)

This is true but I do think some of these displays are actually yellow and do not simply have an accurate white point. An accurate white point I do not believe would look as ugly as some of these do.

Went to look at the store and many of the 6+ were towards the blue D7000s. Mine was warmer.

At the end of the day its down to prefrence but there is a variation.

This reviewer complains about the blue bias. Anandtech shows it in his chart but it seems some units are actually towards D6500. as should be
