I see 2 dead pixels...:(

Man, I saw them... But didn't say anything because.... No you gave this man something else to be OCD about. And I would definitely understand him... Because I would go OCD too...

You sir... are mean!

The most frustrating thing is that it's easily fixable with color profiles via jailbreak. U can easily make the screen as blue as you want.

Ended up exchanging my defective 6 for a 6+. I am definitely more happy with the display on the +...no dead pixels, more even color uniformity and of course higher resolution :)

Is it just me or does the + have a bit higher display QC consistency? It seems like more people playing the screen lottery with the 6's going through several units to get one without a defect while the + seems more likely to be perfect on the first try.

Then again, this could just be due to the fact that more people are getting the 6 and more units are produced vs the +.

I'm wondering if most people would notice the supposed yellow if they didn't compare with another phone. Maybe mine just isn't that bad.

It really depends. I'm sure most people would notice the difference if they went to the apple store and compared it with the demo phone. Some would probably notice the tint right out of the box. I know I did when I exchanged an iphone 6 Plus. Ended up getting it exchanged and the new one has no yellow tint.

I compared mine to my friends and while his seemed s bit bluer it's not like mine was piss yellow. I feel mine was actually brighter but not whiter. Lol

I received my iphone 6 today. My issue isn't with a yellow screen but with uneven lighting at the top right of the screen. It was immediately noticeable. I am thinking of calling for a replacement. However, I had to go through 5 replacements with my retina macbook pro before I got one with a decent screen. So, I am afraid of having to do that again with the iphone. I am tempted to just return it and give up. Maybe buy a Samsung...

Any pics?

I have a yellow blotch at the top right on my iPhone 6, and the Apple Store manager actually refused to exchange my phone, saying it's by design after comparing my phone with several demo units, which all have similar issues. How absurd.

For situations like that, I'd call Apple support and they usually will ship a replacement phone to you with no hassle.

I feel the mind plays tricks because i always thought my screen was great but then looking here makes me over analyze

iPhone 6 Screen with Yellow tint

My first iP6 developed a dead pixel after 4 days, the second one had light leak through the mute switch and dark/warmer at the top, and the third one is warmer on the left then the right especially at the bottom. IDK what to think anymore except I'm sure that the Apple Store won't swap for another one unless this one develops another defect.

I wouldn't call mine yellow, but it is inconsistent. I think this photo dramaticizes the inconsistency a bit, but nevertheless I go bonkers the second I start looking at anything with a white background.

If this doesn't teach me to stop buying iPhones at release IDK what will, my iPhone 5 was so riddled with software problems at release it was hardly usable, and not to mention the hardware issues, my 5S I got in April was absolutely flawless.

Yea that screen is terrible. If I had that phone, I would immediately return it and get a new one.

You also have the spotlighting most have at the top. But it's crap shoot getting another. All of the iphones on display look different. Some yellow, some dull, some bluish. Huge spread in quality with the 6/6+.

That really is bad. Most (if not all) larger phones have this to *some* degree. My iPhone 6 Plus isn't perfect. My wife's iPhone 6 isn't perfect. I actually exchanged my first iPhone 6 Plus because the left side was really yellow, and the right side was really "white." Made reading white web pages a total disaster.

My current one is... fine, but it's obvious it's not perfect if you're more anal about such things. But, because no LCD is perfect, you develop a tolerance to some things, even if you're outrageously picky.

That phone you have there, though? Not acceptable in any way.

Please return that phone. That screen is garbage. Look up my previous threads on yellow screens I posted back in 2010 lol.

This is already my third phone and it's 30 miles to the Apple Store one way. This is getting obnoxious, and it's not that easy to get someone to see what you see and how likely is it in reality that an apple "Genius" is gonna agree to swap something for some subtle color inconsistency? I almost couldn't get a swap for the mute switch bleed yesterday.

I think I'll wait for something else to go wrong first and then start the bee dance ritual at the Crapple store again. The first phone I got had a "perfect" screen but developed a dead pixel. IDK which is more annoying at this point but I probably should've waited awhile and then swapped it.

i took some pictures. ITs hard to tell. I know my iPad had some yellow on the left like most had, but i wasn't going crazy over that, but not sure this is the yellow everyone here is referring to or has

Well next time you go, don't accept something that is worse. You can always refuse a replacement unit. I think

I think if it's evenly yellow tinted all around it's okay, but if it's like 1/3 (like the ipad mini retina that I have) then it's something that's not right and I can definitely notice on my ipad mini retina that 1/3 of the screen on the bottom has the yellow tint, but I'm used to it now because I have an iphone 6 Plus and I barely use my ipad mini retina.

I guess mine is ok. Idk. Lol

This is a much more accurate depiction of what my screen looks like, and a comparison to my iPad Air. Taken in a pitch black room with both on full brightness with my DSLR.

is there supposed to be something wrong with it? Looks fine to me.

It's an update to the prior photo I posted that made the screen look awful. and my issue has been uneven backlighting.

Oh my mistake, it looks fine though to me, the first pic with the air makes it look like the left side is brighter than the right but I don't see it in the standalone picture of the phone so I guess it's your camera maybe, or the angle.
