Very informative, thanks
That guy is awesome. Like he said, slightly thicker, bigger battery, no camera sticking out, no bandgate! Just do it Apple!
Very informative, thanks
Kinda sad his strength test videos are being posted at macrumors.
"Surprisingly, the smaller 4.7-inch iPhone 6 appears to be much less malleable than the larger iPhone 6 Plus"
Why would that be surprising?
Exactly why is this a surprise?
A long sheet of plastic is easier to bend than a short one. A long sheet of glass is easier to bend than a short one. A long sheet of metal is easier to bend than a short one. A long sheet of wood is easier to bend than a short one. Etc.
So, naturally, made from the same materials a big phone is easier to bend than a small one.
I had a 6 plus and a 6. I decided the 6 plus was just too big for me... so I took that one back, and I really love the 6. I know that everyone is saying, "oh if you try to break something, it breaks," and that is certainly the game everyone on the internet is playing now, but the fact remains that the early benders from this past weekend... those were just ordinary people who had it in their pockets.
That guy is awesome. Like he said, slightly thicker, bigger battery, no camera sticking out, no bandgate! Just do it Apple!
attention is good even if its bad. nice work apple.
now for all the stupid people.....
if you drop it, it WILL break.
if you bend it, it WILL bend...
so what! don't do those things and there will be nothing to worry about.
even better put a freaking case on it.....
This is a clear FAIL by Apple.
Surprisingly, the smaller 4.7-inch iPhone 6 appears to be much less malleable than the larger iPhone 6 Plus.
this is what I don't get why people don't understand....we can't be that stupid to not know this.....please humanity prove me wrong....
So we're gonna have "drop" and "bend" tests for future phones the thinner they get? lol.. Give me a break.. Get s damn case for your phone and call it a day.
The guy doing these bend "tests" is an idiot.
How is bending with with your hands tell us anything? Where are the metrics?
If your going to test something at least show us a real life example, ie someone bumping into with the phone in your pocket, or doing some type of exercises in tight pants.
His tests proven nothing and looks like there is no science behind them at all.
AppleCare +? I'd go with regular AppleCare. It's more durable, surprisingly.
Pretty sure Macrumors is now trolling macrumors....
