Ofc they may not get along, but whatever effect they have, it should be uniform, not like that.

Wrong. The effect differs depending on how the two polarizations interact. If one has wider gaps between the lines for example or if one has less uniform polarization. There's really nothing unusual about what you're seeing here. LCDs and polarized lenses don't get along. Period. That's not a flaw with your phone.

I have polarized glasses and the 6+ is the first phone I can actually see the screen with them on. Doesn't look anything like your picture.

Same here. Polarized glasses (Ray-Ban) with 6 Plus, it looks really good. There is some noticeable but fairly minor dimming when the phone is in landscape orientation, but no weird artifacts like seen here, the screen looks completely normal.

I'm sorry but this is just Physics. lcd screens will never look right through polarised sunglasses. Rotating the screen will either make it better or worse. This is nothing to do with apple, but the laws of Physics. I have this issue with the various displays in my car when wearing some ray bans.

I have Maui Jim Banyans with Polarized lenses. I have no issues seeing my 6 Plus. At times I had issues with my iPhone 5, but not my 6 Plus.

Same here. I have two pair of Maui Jim polarized sunglasses (one sport and one "casual") and I don't have issues with either.

They will look brighter or darker, never like that. Where ever the fail in his pictures are the glasses or the display can't be determined, but the filter should be uniform.

They added a polarizer to the phone. I have a 6 plus and unlike on my 5s I can look at the screen with my polarized sunglasses. Girlfriend's 6 is the exact same situation. I think OP got a defective polarizer.

Completely normal. I wear polarized oakley's also & most screens look different than without my sunglasses on.

I was just looking through my polorized Oakley x-metals at my iP6 and thinking what an amazing display this phone had.

I didn't look at a solid background though I was just making a phone call & texting...

But as we've established with "bendgate", Apple is expected to be above the laws of physics. So this is completely and entirely Apple's fault.

Can't they just wave their magic wand and fix this?

That sucks... there was another thread about the iPhone 6 where polarized sunglasses had no issues. I wear polarized ones and my 6 works a heck of a lot better than my iPhone 5s.

I wonder why the 6+ is different.

My 6 is the best phone I've had with polarized glasses. I can't find an angle with the effect. I've been in the car all week with a co-worker and his S5 and that phone still shows the effect at one rotation angle.

That is definitely not normal, looks like your phone has a faulty polarizer. On my iPhone 5, wearing my polarized Ray Bans caused the screen to turn weird shades of purple and green, which is normal. My first iPhone 6 (which I returned for a faulty touch id sensor) had the same effect. My new one, however, has no color distortion at all when wearing my polarized sunglasses. I've never seen a screen with such a wrinkled polarizer. I guess the degree of color distortion depends on the quality of the polarization on the sunglasses, but it definitely should not look wrinkled.

This is normal with polarisation.. Take your phone back and buy one without this feature.. Or do your research before looking a bit silly..

I have seen this on many many displays, from a phone to the car dashboard, to control devices.
