Hey everyone. Thanks for checking your Apple devices. Turns out the screen protector was causing it. I pulled it up and checked again and it is same as iPhone 5. Its weird, my iPhone 5 has a screen protector and looks just fine. I have SPIGEN Flex HD screen protector, so you might want to avoid this one if you are using polarized glasses. Not sure how other screen protectors fair. Maybe some of you with screen protectors and polarized glasses can post results with screen protector brand/model so others won't run into this.

Thanks all!

you should be banned for this thread then :p

In other words, your sensationalist knee-jerk reaction of a thread and discussion were actually an oversight and mistake? What are the odds? I don't think that's ever happened on MR before...ever....

P.S. You might want to update your OP or mark it as "Resolved."

...Or he could have just not said anything about it and left people wondering. People who can admit to mistakes aren't common nowadays. Not entirely sure what fulfillment you get out of being a jerk on an internet forum to someone who admitted an honest mistake, but congratulations on your complete lack of character.

When I use active sync 3D glasses it does it. Even if I'm in the tanning room with a tanning bed and there are those types of lights it will have a whole different hue like all the colors are inverted.

Seems to happen at all angles and landscape/portrait. Here is about the best I can get with the iPhone 5. Weird how iPhone 5 is fine. Nothing. Just different tint from sunglasses. Sucks because I wear polarized a lot.

It's just showing the defects in the the LCD. Apple really went low bidder on these screens.

Or he could've done the logical thing and checked it before creating the threads. Let's just all agree that there have been many missteps in this process, and none of them have been mine.

While I do typically get my kicks from teasing children and ridiculing small mammals, I do occasionally get my giggles from verbally culling the MR herd. However, this was not one of those instances; just calling a spade a spade.

"Complete lack of character," you mean, like calling someone a jerk?

one of the best new features of the 6 & 6+ is the new polarizer, huge improvement from previous i devices when using the device with sunglasses

Please change thread title to:

iPhone 6+ with cheap screen protector and ugly, polarized sunglasses = junk

Wish I could give a thumbs up to this. Like I said before, it had to be something with the screen layering. Of course the OP forgot to mention he had put an extra layer on himself. DOH!

Have you considered not wearing sunglasses while you use your iPhone? Just throwing it out there...:p

Anyone else seen this with polarized sunglasses. I have Oakley biking glasses and thought my screen was broken when I had them on. Found out it only looks like this with the sunglasses on.

I am not very happy at all about this. Going to Apple store and check demo units. This along with buggy IOS 8 does not make a happy camper right now. Battery life and screen without sunglasses is what I am most impressed with.

Look at pictures. I took without sunglasses and everything is normal. Then I put sunglasses over camera and this is what I am seeing when wearing my Oakley polarized sunglasses.

This device is almost $1000. This is unacceptable to me. We'll see if its just my phone or what Apple wants to do about it.

This is funny!!! Best post I have read in a long time!! The 15 million dollar airplane I fly has the same problem, and can't be used with polarized glasses!!

I can't use the airplane as a submarine so don't get any ideas with the iPhone.

Checked my sisters 6 with polarized glasses and it looked fine. Not even a rainbow like effect similar to my 4s just perfect.

I haven't even read all 5 pages of this thread but I can be assured that the OP is not correct and shouldn't be allowed to post here. You have to love how these people find a problem with THEIR phone and come on MacRumors claiming that ALL iphone x's are defective. People, idiots, there are issues, and they aren't all universal. You could have an app / software that causes your problem. It doesn't mean ALL iPhone suck. In this case I'm imagining it is either a one off issue with the glass or a screen saver and not the problem of the phone at all. Or it's the sunglasses. The iPhone 6 screen IS NOT DEFECTIVE. So bro, go away.

I'm sorry but this is just Physics. lcd screens will never look right through polarised sunglasses. Rotating the screen will either make it better or worse. This is nothing to do with apple, but the laws of Physics. I have this issue with the various displays in my car when wearing some ray bans.

wow so what you say to the people that say their screens looks fine? Explain those physics

Does this to my 5c as well and when my 6 arrives I expect the same....not gonna blame the phone and neither should you...I love my Oakley's and I love my iPhone's...just gotta except that sometimes they might not get along! For what its worth when I'm on my bike and I look down at my bike computer I usually look below the coverage of the sun glasses so I don't expect it to be an issue once I mount my phone on my bike. I also have polarized filters for my digital camera that do this so no surprise. Can you change the lenses out? I have a pair of Rudy Projects and 3 different sets of lenses, polarized regular, clear (for overcast but to project eyes from bugs and wind), and regular shade lenses.

I still have the Apple protective plastic on my screen while waiting for my skin.

Without it my Sunglasses show a perfect screen. With it - there's all kinds of fun crazy. it's actually rather pretty.

Lol, genius :)

It was pointed out to him what the problem could be and in the end he have figured out the cause of the problem (which by the way is not due to any defect) but you didn't read through the thread.

Apple really went low bidder on these screens?? I have absolutely no idea what are you talking about.

Yeah, it was pointed out previously but YOU didn't read the entire thread it appears.
