it's called sneak peak. haven't you seen the preview of Mac Pro at 2013 WWDC?

Yea i saw the preview of the Mac Pro last year, but why would they do it with the iPhone 6? Usually they announce in September at its own "special event". Don't get me wrong, i would love for this "leak" to be true, i'm just suspicious of it being a fake.

The scene looks like a static room photo, with three 'slides' superimposed, and them some kind of convincing 'camera shake' effect added. If you follow the seats, for instance, you can see the lighting does not change at all as the camera moves around.

That kinda makes sense, as I was comparing that video to images from inside Moscone Center, it actually matches up well, the chairs are the same, and it looks like the ceiling does too.

While I would be surprised to see the iPhone 6 released this year, I wouldn't be upset by it. I got my iPhone 5S a few after launch (ordered on launch day) and couldn't be happier with the phone. but I have been thinking recently about dropping out of my contract and switching to the Next Plan that ATT has. The only downside is killing my unlimited data, I use between 4-6 gb a month. Combined with y wives <2GB a month a 10GB plan share plan would be perfect for us.

But still working out the financials. to see if it would be cheaper, more expensive, or the same.

yeah but nobody really cared about 5C anyway. the only iPhone announced at WWDC was iPhone 4, and we all know what happened to that one :)

The iPhone 3G and 3Gs were announced at WWDC in 2008 and 2009. The 4S broke the WWDC cycle by being announced in September taking the place the the iPod release event cycle.

True, but in all those cases, iOS itself was announced months earlier at a March event.

Wow, never knew technology actually exist to make such things look so convincing, if the video ends up to be a fake.
But however for God knows why, I'm still pretty convinced. After all, the video looked real with all the background chatter and what not.
We will see come monday.

Someone with a keen eye and a lot of time should scour the web for the images on those purported slides. If any of them have been published beforehand, it's definitely fake -- someone could easily pick up those images up from the Internet and include them in this video. If they haven't been published before, it feels less likely someone would make these mockups just for this video.

you can hear a lot of camera shutter sound in the background, do you think Apple would allow people taking photos during WWDC rehearsal? i think this is the biggest give away.

At the same time, we never thought an Apple employee would leave an iPhone 4 prototype in a bar.

+1, it doesn't look like a single sweeping animation but three distinct photographs on separate slides -- the first and third being space gray, and the second being white.
There's really no rational or any reason to do a run like that--they can view their presentation privately on a computer and try out the projector and the screen with a different one that doesn't give away anything that is real. There's simply no need to do the real thing on the real screen at this point. Yes, stranger things have happened, but that doesn't really give any more support to this being one of them, just that it can potentially be one, but the probability is still against it.

While i would love it to be true, i doubt it is. This has never happened before, leaks have usually come of the device itself, pictures and so on.

A leak of the powerpoint itself would have to be from someone who is there while Apple rehearse or do sound checks, would they not notice someone filming it ;)

I doubt it's PowerPoint. Perhaps it's keynote, just sayin...

Fully believable. I mean, Apple couldn't test the system with test slides.

They had to use the slides reserved to the upcoming event. Anything else wouldn't work at all.

The front and back color don't match, black front and white back. As much as I wish this was real, I don't think it is.

Maybe they showed the back and side of the space grey model , then the guy started shooting when they showed the back/sides of the silver model and stopped before showing the white front ?

There have been multiple iPhones announced at WWDC. It just hasn't happened since the iPhone 4.

Apple did use to rehearse keynotes, Steve Jobs biography by Walter Isaacson mentions that Steve would have lighting and sound people working for hours until it was perfect, sometimes he would have them working well into the night. I remember reading the book and thinking how much of a workaholic Steve Jobs was. Whether Apple still does this now i don't know.

I'm NOT saying that the "leaked" keynote slides are real, in fact i don't think any keynote slides have EVER leaked from an Apple event. would it not be difficult to do? surely they would notice someone with their phone out filming the stage and the keynote slides. Tim Cook himself said that he was going to "double down on security"

If this is real, it looks like Apple is having to announce it earlier than they would like too. I guess this is there way to try and stop the leaks.

This makes WWDC more interesting now but i still want a MAC MINI!

What I'm also curious about is the blue shape in the bottom right. If you keep your eye on it from the beginning of the video, it starts blurry and then comes into focus as the camera seems to stabilize about 3 seconds in. Is it possible to do something like that if it was just a still image as you described?

I'm no editing whiz, so I'm asking you guys.
