iPhone 6s and 6s Plus Orders Begin Shifting to 'Preparing for Shipment'

My husbands (6s+, 64gb, space gray - Apple Store app, att next) status changed this afternoon, and our card was charged yesterday...

My (6S+, 64gb, rose gold, Apple Store app, att next) phone is still "in processing" and card hasn't been charged...
 
My status changed to preparing for shipment a little while ago.
I ordered at about 12:05 PST on launch day.
6S Plus 64GB Space Gray AT&T
 
The case for my 6s+ was shipped today.

The iPhone is still on Preparing for Shipment.

I don't understand why my ship date is October 6-23rd and it still says preparing shipment, AND my card charge has been removed.

Well, a lot of the 6s+'s have a slower processing time, or it may have something to do with your delivery date. I know a lot of people have ordered theirs the minute pre-orders started, but I doubt it is back-ordered. Did you order from ATT site or with Apple? I would say you should check in with who you ordered from just to make sure everything went through if you haven't. But once they charge your credit card, the status should change to Preparing for Shipment. I bought mine on the 15th and my credit card was charged on the 17th, and changed to preparing for shipment 12-24 hours later, with an estimated delivery date of September 25.

Well, I guess picked up, but delayed shipping until 9/24 for overnight 9/25 delivery. I _do_ have my FedEx tracking number.
 
Wtf, they haven't even charged my card yet. I purchased mine way before most folks and still nothing. Cmon Apple.
 
I'm right there with you. I had my confirmation email 5 minutes after preorders started, still no status change. Could it be the first orders will come from shipments already in the US? Seems like most of the activity I've seen has units shipping direct from China. We will find out soon enough I suppose.
 
I ordered the following:
iPhone 6S 16 GB - Space Gray - Got my FedEx tracking #
iPhone 6S Plus 16 GB Gold - no shipment yet
iPhone 6S Plus 128 GB Gold - no shipment yet

Under the FedEx tracking it says it will be delivered 9/25. If they have it, why are they waiting until 9/25 to deliver it? Why not just send it to me now? It's better in my hands than just sitting in a box in some warehouse in Memphis.
 
Ordered Full Price (T-Mobile) and recently changed to Preparing for Shipment. (I'm in California, USA)

I've got a 6s and a plus both 128gb, with black face, and they both turned to preparing for shipment yesterday afternoon. Ordered from Apple app 12:03am (never again from AT&T).

This is getting annoying. I taked to ATT earlier today and they just said the plus models are very low (if any) on stock. Sounds like someone dropped the ball here. What baffles my mind, is that other places (Apple and Best Buy) have stock on these ATT iPhone 6 Plus'
 
I was charged days ago but am still processing. And I'm in one of the UPS zips that the Pope's visit is affecting.

It's just a temporary hold to ensure funds are available, it'll drop off and reappear when phone ships, unless you're part of the first batch.
 
I ordered iPhone 6S Plus 128 GB at 2:02 AM (CDT) on the payment plan through the Verizon website. Order status updated to shipped sometime overnight last night. A UPS tracking number is provided, though doesn't actually track anything yet.

The simple order status page simply states shipped on the 19th (though it said delivery on the 19th on Saturday!). Logged in order status page shows ship date of the 24th with overnight delivery.

I live in rural Kansas.
