Well who sets pricing and who's responsible for currency devaluation? Apple or your country's weakening economy.. but either way, your statement is inaccurate. The phone wasn't cheaper, your currency was just worth more. And they came out with additional models that were more expensive. You can head down to the store right now and buy the 5S for $450 brand new, that's the cheapest an iPhone has ever been. So to say the price has gone up is an inaccuracy. Apple has come out with bigger models. I wish the 27" iMac was the price of the old iMac (the 17") ... but it's a bigger, better product. I can still buy a small iMac for cheaper, but I don't hold it against Apple for charging more for the big one.
This is why the UK is great, pounds always is strong so same price as last years

Off topic here, but I love the cultural difference between the States and the UK - I've got 4 Apple stores within 50 miles, including one 25 miles away, but I still find it irritating that there isn't one in my nearest city (9 miles) and refuse to drive to another city, even 25 miles!
Oh UK really is good for this, I live in Reading, I have one here and then I have other 5 as options too as they are all 30 miles under but true even I wouldn't drive for 30 miles for a phone haha

The first batch of customers that pre-ordered the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus are beginning to see their order statuses change from "Processing Items" to "Preparing for Shipment" on Apple's website, less than nine days before the new smartphones launch on September 25.

The customers that have seen early movement on their iPhone 6s pre-orders all appear to live outside of the United States, with order status changes occurring in Canada, France, Germany and the United Kingdom. Apple has also begun charging credit cards for some of these customers, which is common at this point in the pre-order process but earlier than usual this year.

While some orders are now moving to the "Preparing for Shipment" stage, new iPhones will be held at FedEx, UPS and other couriers for delivery until September 25. In rare cases, however, some customers might receive their iPhone slightly earlier.

iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus shipping estimates range between September 25 and October 2 for several customers, but some iPhone 6s Plus and Rose Gold models may ship later due to stronger demand.

Apple began accepting pre-orders on September 12 at 12:01 AM Pacific in the U.S. and eleven other countries, with shipping estimates quickly slipping to 2-3 weeks or later for the most popular models.

iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s launch on September 25 at Apple Stores and authorized resellers in the United States, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Puerto Rico, Singapore and the United Kingdom.

This year I got an Apple Watch, and I will get an Apple TV and iPad Pro. But I'm not a real Apple fan, because I will wait until the end of my current contract before upgrading my iPhone.

My husband and I both got  watches, and are getting  TV, but we're on the new phone every year plan!!! Can't wait till the 25th!
