I know you are talking about Samsung, but LG is up there as well and I can tell you the colors are not overblown and inaccurate like you claim. Android cameras are just that much better than the iPhone, sadly.

G4 is up there and has more MP indeed (and let's not forget RAW).
but i still prefer the Iphone in terms of immediate output.
AND i also prefer the LESS wide angle it provides.
i don't really like wide angle phone lens.
(on my DSLR i mostly use 50mm)
and most of all, i don't like Android anymore...

The 35mm equivalent focal length is generally the same for most smartphones, the difference isn't that great.

It doesn't have a wide angle effect like a DSLR does due to it microscopic sensor size so you can't ever tell from the photos that a phone camera is using a wide angle lens unlike on a DSLR!
