So with Live Photos, have Apple invented time travel in order to take a picture 1.5 seconds before you actually press the shutter? :)

I loved the Live Photos concept! It spoke to my emotions in a way I really didn't expect. It really did add another dimension to them, really cool. I don't mind their shortness; it was still enough to do what they were intended to do. The feature isn't there for recording, just to awaken your memories that little bit better than a still photo.

Edit: Hadn't heard of the HTC Zoe feature before, so all the respect to HTC for getting this idea first (?). However, I'm no HTC user so this is exciting for me regardless.

It could be recording all the time, and simply discarding until you press the shutter, because gasp it might just have RAM enough to do so in the background.

the Screen is still 720p in 2015.. epic fail.

Don't tell me PPI doesn't matter after 326, because that's all Apple marketing BS. I am enjoying my 577PPI S6 Edge with 2560x1440 Super AMOLED.

If its all the same, I'd rather forgo the higher pixel density than suffer the indignity of having to use any handset designed to run Android. Sure, I'll be happy when Apple gives me higher resolutions, but I won't need to brag about it because its just a phone!

The saying 'First world problems' comes to mind.

I wouldn't be surprised if this 3D Touch feature might actually hurt sales. I know I was planning on getting a 6s, but this touch gimmick is the one thing that gives me major hesitation. It looks like it could be more annoying than useful. Also seems kind of unnecessary.
I don't think so, it seems to me that this feature will be useful for those who want and invisible for the others, until they find out

I think it's one of them things were it will be a case of getting used to force touch, I don't think it will activate as easily I'm just going by experience with my Apple Watch. I have to admit I like the feature of it and the demo they displayed.

WTF
iPhone 6s 128GB - $1379 AUD
MacBook Air 128GB $1249 AUD

Never mind that comparison, $1379 for a phone WTF, I remember my first iPhone costing about $700 (and yes the exchange rate does not account for all of the increases)

Well, except for when you have long press AND force touch options. For example, long press on camera icon lets you move the icon, force touch lets you take a selfie.

No way to implement both without force touch.
As far as I can think right now, I'm pretty sure rearranging home screen icons is the ONLY long press implementation by Apple. I'd be willing to adapt to a new home screen rearrange method to add this functionality everywhere in the OS.

But most people choose to use the "standard" iPhone - it's becoming ever more apparent that Apple don't really care about the needs of the end user, more gimmicks and "thinness". I'd bet that most people's list of wants for a new iPhone would include a better battery life at No.1 and a larger base storage close behind as it's nearly 2016 and 16gb is a piss-take at Apple prices.
You're absolutely right. Never have I heard anyone complain that their iPhone was too thick, even at the time of the first iPhone. Battery life on the other hand? Every iPhone owner I ever met complained about that.

16GB is perfect for corporate phones where they want their people to use it as a communication device and not video production. Mail is stored on corporate servers. Apps are web-based or built for mobile where the heavy lifting is done on the servers. They don't need or want to pay for more storage.

From what I've read, no one knows yet how much RAM there is. People are taking the approach, "well, Apple didn't mention it so that means RAM didn't change." Apple has never announced the amount of RAM so we wait until iFixIt or another teardown site opens it up and posts their findings.

Or they could just change the way you move icons. That would truly be revolutionary and magical.

This is the phone that just made me switch to Android.
I don't like Android but I can bear it since Lollipop and with the Nexus 5 that is the only good looking Android phone.

bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla

bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla Not only is the upgrade weak but they're not bothering with CHANGING the design anymore just to juice more money out of their crappy update? bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla bla

Where have you been for the last eight years? This is the way it's always been... Every other year it's the S-models with focus on internals, speed and improving the model from the year before. I actually for one prefer the S-models, and think it's the most polished and well finished models. They have sorted all the flaws and improved the speed and features in a big way.

Can anyone tell if the Space Gray is the dark tone like the Apple Watch and Macbook or the lighter tone like the iPhone 6?

in my opinion, this was a boring update, i will hopefully be more impressed with the iPhone 7. 3D touch didn't do it for me, rose gold didn't do it for me, and there are always cam and processor updates.

I know I'm a buzz killington...

I don't think you are - if I wasn't still on a 5, I might have waited another year as well. But there are too many updates from the model I have to this one, that make the 6s a true upgrade for me. As I generally don't upgrade year over year (obviously!) I'm thinking the new Apple program of yearly updates won't be worthwhile for me!

3D (force) touch looks like something they could implement with long presses on older hardware if they wanted, but probably won't because then it's not a selling point for the S upgrade :/
No they couldn't. There multiple levels of pressing that has different function. Also, long press is tedious as you have to wait.

Then don't use it.

Nothing thrilling… dont know how other ppl using their phones for, but im using it 95% of the time for calls, messages and VoIP, so i was hoping to hear about improved battery and a 4” iPhone version with the same spec’s and shape as the new ones. The last thing i care for is 3D Touch, more pixels in the camera, or 4K videos, specially when the base model is still 16GB.

Oh well, looks like i will stay with my old and trusty iPhone for another year…
