I'll be really disappointed if this "6C" is a low-cost model. I've held off upgrading my personal phone because I dislike the 6 and 6+ form factors so much.

Same here. I hope its at least an upgrade from the 5s. I won't care if its a downgrade from the 6S's.

Ill also, maybe, upgrade to the 6s 4.7 if they move the power button from the side to the top again, even though 4.7 is still too big for me.

4.2 - 4.4 inch would be perfect.

Cool that they are possibly releasing a smaller model, but 4.3" would really hit a sweet spot.

Going off the iPhone 5c, I'd assume that the iPhone 6c will be the iPhone 6 just in a different case. Which sucks as I too would rather a top of the line 4" phone.

But then again, since getting my iPad I rarely use my iphone 5 compared to how much I use to. So I'll be keeping my 5 for a few more years. Still super fast and not at all showing it's age.

I have big hands, but I still can't use the iPhone 6 one handed. I really hope the 6C has good specifications.. I wish it was metal but I doubt it will be :'(

----------

The A5 devices are most likely going to be discontinued this fall (5C, iPad Mini 1 and Touch 5). I'm betting that the 6C will have an A7.

The 5C is an A6 :p

Another vote for a flagship 4 inch. Not with a plastic cast and not with the slippery iPhone 6 "bar of soap" form-factor.

I actually woul love if the 6c came in 4.7" rather than 4. I'm still not sold on the rear-shell design of the 6 (and probably the 6s assuming they keep it exact)

I just pray they keep good specs in the 4 inch display!

I have large hands, I can palm a basketball easily, and I think the iPhone 6 display is simply to big.

When Steve Jobs said the 4 inch display was the perfect size because your thumb could easily manage the corner of the device, he couldn't have been more correct.
As many times before, he was wrong on this one, too. Although I don't get it how you can palm a basketball but not reach the top left corner of an iPhone 6, it doesn't even matter.
You simply don't need to get to the top left with your thumb in most cases. Jobs just said that because it was the only good "reason" for a small screen while everybody was already happy with bigger screens.
I understand some people like small phones but the importance of managing all corners of the device with your thumb Is not a serious reason.
People simply use and hold their larger phones different and do not think about their corners.
Btw Jobs also tried to tell people the right way to hold a phone and everybody laughed.

I like the curved 6 form factor, but it does prove to be impractical as it is slippery. I just want it to have an A8 or A9 and to be metal.

If this is true it means I can upgrade my iPhone 5 in the future :D :D

Here's to hoping for colored Touch ID sensors. Black seems logical but completely boring compared to some mockups we have seen.

I have large hands (compared to most people) and I can't reach the top of the display. This means I can't do interactive notifications or notifications centre.

And yes I do need to get to the top of the screen. A phone is useless to me unless I can use it one handed (like my perfect sized iPhone 5 can now).

I don't get why people are so anti this. You have the 6 and 6+ if you want giant phones and later the 6S and 6S +.... those who want a 4 inch phone aren't for Apple taking away their larger screens, we just want a viable option as well.

4 inches is the perfect size!!! I cannot stress this enough.
Jobs said the 3.5 inch display was the ideal one. The 4 inch came after he died.
3.5 inches is good too but not so fun for watching movies, gaming and web browsing. Steve would have fired Tim Cook if he alive.I mean 5.5 inch IPhone is ridiculous!! Might as well buy an iPad.
size-wise, they need to go back to the 4s for the mini-iPhone.
Yes i agree. If they could squeeze 4 inches of screen in the same form factor as 4S,that would be great.I loved the design of 4/4S. iPhone 6 is UGLY!!
Steve said nothing about 4" phones publicly. The last phone he saw was the 4S which only had a 3.5" screen. It was Tim Cook who commented on the 4" screen on the iPhone 5 and how you could easily reach across the screen with your thumb.
Tim Cook is just copying Android with big screen sizes. But if people are buying means he must be right. Looking forward for 6.6 inch Retina Display in iPhone 7!!

Agree about how slippy it is - I've had to buy a silicon case just so I can hold it comfortably.

I recently upgraded from a 5 to a 6 and it feels like a huge difference. It's taken me a while to get used to the form factor, but so far I really like it. The ability to touch the corners with my thumb is not a concern for me.

If the "C" is for "Compact", I'm all for it. "C" for "Cheap" would be okay too. I assume the 6C is just the iPhone 5S with a plastic shell.

If Apple releases a 4" iPhone with a better camera and battery life than the 5s I'll be buying straight away. Currently using an iPhone 6, would love something smaller and less slippery.

first the 3.5 seemed big, then the 4.0 came along. now I have the iPhone 6 and when I use my iPhone 5 all I can think is "god, this is tiny and I keep hitting the wrong letter on the keyboard". I am even used to 4.7 now lol I think 5.0 would be the sweet spot or 5.5 with less bezel

If there is a 6C, the current 6 and 6+ will be discontinued. The 6C will be the mid priced phone with the 5S slipping to Free. The line up would be
6S+ 5.5 $299
6S 4.7. $199
6C 4.0. $99
5S. 4.0 Free

You do know that the 'C' was for 'color' right?

----------

The iPhone 6C will probably just be a repackaged iPhone 5s.

When the 5S was released, they repackaged the 5 into the 5C polycarbonate, colored cases. They wouldn't call it iPhone 6C if it were a repackaged 5S, that would be 2 generation old tech in the new 'C' iteration. It would be a repackaged iPhone 6 if anything.

Just letting you know, Apple introduced the iPhone in 2007, it had a 3.5" display. Everyone, specifically Samsung, copied Apple's bigger screen size smartphone, at that time. So if you're going to say building a bigger screen size is copying, you may want to realize this.

Any phone larger than 4" is a perfect demonstration of progress gone wrong.
In an ideal world companies should stick to what is right instead of sheepishly following market trends.

Digitimes, sounds legit..

I felt the same about 4" before but since i have my iphone 6 any 4" seems miniature.

I have to agree. I got an iPhone 6 thinking I would grow to like the larger screen. Or the stupid, plastic looking, rounded corners, for that matter.

I haven't.

I can't wait to 'upgrade' to a 4" iPhone with features of the 6, especially the camera.

Keep reading 4 inch is perfect.. It's unperfect for me. 5.5 is the best just need a better design that doesn't slip around.. Design is very poor on the 6. Maybe the iPhone 7. Plus a 6C will have 6 specs.
