I agree... I've only been on 13B136 for a day so I need to give it more time before I report back to Apple and this forum. But anyone on 9.1 Public Beta 4 (13B136) please let us know if you encounter the issue. Thanks!I hope this is true as that is what I am on now. But it would suck if everyone else had to wait for the official 9.1 to be released in order for this to be resolved.
Yes mine does the same! Not sure if this is related but thought I would add it to the discussion. Since updating to iOS 9, my screen remains off when my alarm sounds in the morning. I can sweep across the display to stop the alarm like normal but no light comes from the display until I hit the home button. I have had the phone stop responding (no display coming on and requiring a restart) twice total since getting the 6S+, never happened with 6+. The 6+ and iPad Air 2 both stay dark in the morning after being on chargers at night. My iPad will leave the display off after opening the smart cover and remains off after placing my finger on the touch id. If/when I click the home button the screen will come on finally. Every morning the same with exception of a few mornings here and there everything lights up.
Thanks for the feedback.... Fingers crossed.Got the same email in response to a feedback report. And I've not had a problem since upgrading to PB4 (yes, I know it's a whole 24 hours...). But those two facts together are promising. It means that Apple probably saw this in-house first and worked to cut it off at the pass.
The problem is that even with a genius appointment they won't do anything for you unless you can repeat the problem... and for me it appears to be random thus far. This happend today to me. I pulled my phone out of my pocket, to make a call and it wouldn't wake. Not even pressing home and power worked. I had to hold the power button for over a minute. I called Apple, no help. She didn't even run diagnostic. She told me to get a genius appointment.

Doesn't scare me.
I agree, hype. Now if I were walking down a dark alley with a lot of strangers lurking at me and my phone locked up, I guess I would pretend to call for help.
Actually if none of the other devices were unaffected it could be a hardware issue. It all the different devices were affected, then it's software. My iPhone 6, girlfriends 6, moms 6+ on 9.0.1 have not had this problem. This could be hardware related.I had this happen to me yesterday afternoon, what the hell Apple. Luckily hasn't happened since.
So far only happened to my 6S, my Air 2 or my fiance's 6S and Air 2 unaffected so far. Sounds like a software issue.
