Yeah, and what I meant by saying that is that they will eventually realize that it's pink, when they see it in reality. Therefore, I was just assuming that the majority of males don't want the object that they probably use the most in their lifes (to quote Jony Ive) to be pink (or any other gaudy/brash color). You came up with the whole sexuality issue.

get a room you two.....

I'm sorry guys, but have you ever actually SEEN real rose gold? It's time to call a spade a spade: This is PINK!

I bet 90% of male "rose gold" customers will regret their decision in a few months.

--> Just my 2 cents <--

If I regret it that badly I have Jump On Demand so I'll just get another color

Everyone who I've seen who has ordered rose gold knows it has a pink hue. That is why they are ordering it. I'm not aware of anyone who thinks it's anything else and will freak out and return it when they find out it's pink.

Well to be fair, some members are claiming it's copper and not pink at all, like real rose gold but this is false. Artificial rose gold-colored aluminum is nothing like genuine rose gold, but there's also nothing wrong with ordering a rose gold AW or iPhone if you're a guy.

Wow people really think this color iPhone is copper? They might be color blind? It obviously has a pink hue. Apple products are pretty true to what they show on their website.

I wonder if Rose Gold (and regular gold) will have a higher resale value since Apple might discontinue them next generation like they did with regular gold on the 6.

Is it also true that White iphones typically have a higher resale value ? I feel like I've heard this all over the internet but dont know the reasoning.

Here's a good video for color reference.

Thanks for posting this! I really wanted a pink phone not copper.... And I was getting worried reading some of the posts ---- after seeing this I'm ok with waiting for my October 1-7th delivery date!

I think it just depends on lighting a lot, just like gold. I've seen pictures where it literally looks like copper, then others where it's completely pink. Guess we'll just have to see :)

I wish Apple and others would stop calling this rose gold. It's not rose gold. It's pink. Pink. Pink. Pink.

That's not true at all for genuine rose gold. However, the rose gold on aluminum AW and iPhone isn't real and artificially colored so it's very different. Below is an example of a real rose gold watch and you can see how subtle and subdued it is.

Agree on the "not really gold" comment but I stand by gold being hard to wear generally. Rose gold especially when it comes to men's jewelry.

I wear many different shades of pink all the time. The phone I'm upgrading from is so pink that Motorola calls it raspberry.

If anyone's masculinity is so fragile that he's afraid of rose gold, well... good. I don't want him carrying the same iPhone as me. I want to have as little as possible in common with idiots like that.

I own rose gold luxury watches and would only buy rose gold as any gold jewellery. Yellow gold on watches look awful in comparison.

Therefore I would say that the Rose Gold colour is definitely a male colour.

Having said that, the pics of the rose gold iphone do look a little too pink. My rose gold watches look more gold than pink. Will have to see in the metal but if it is like the rose gold on watches then it will not be feminine at all but rather the only gold colour to buy.
this Pink iphone is nothing like a Rose Gold watch, Nothing.

Its Pink

Compared to other videos and pictures I have seen that verge video is a pretty terrible representation of the actual color.

I'm a man, married as well, and I'll be getting the rose gold.

I'm honestly too old to worry about what others think of me. I'm a professional in the healthcare field that supervises 200+ people daily and I don't care what anyone thinks!

I'll also be sporting that baby, case free, for everyone to see.

I don't think any of the colors in the 6s line are gender specific. I think any guy could rock them.
Me personally I was stoked when I heard the rumor of a rose gold iphone. However when I saw that it was more in the pinkish side than gold I was immediately turned off.
With rose gold I could totally see some awesome case combos you could do that would accent the rose gold and make it less pink than it is.

I went for the Silver at pre-order for fear of getting a Rose Gold and having to wait a month to have it delivered. I'm a guy and I don't care what people think of me in regards to the color of my phone. I rocked a pink Motorola Razr for several years, it was my last flip phone before finally getting my first iPhone (5s). I got a few looks because of it but mostly from judgmental teenagers. I get a lot of grief for the Silver from my sister in law who considers the white face plate "girly". She's about 7 years older than me which makes it odd that she cares so much about the color. I know that's why my brother got a Space Grey, he says he just got the color they had but he got his first iPhone 6 only a couple of months ago, they had the silver in stock and they don't just pick a color at random like he says.

Anyways I don't know why I'm going on like this about a phone color, I guess I just hate the big deal some people make out of it. Color as related to gender is an outmoded thing and I applaud Apple for helping sending it on its way.

I went with grey cause I have had silver before. And right now I wish I had gone with the rose gold. And yes I am a dude.

Let's not pretend there aren't some trends though. Most guys avoid pink products

Sure they do--a lot of the time because of insecurity. Some of us don't have that hang up.

A color is simply a color. In and of itself, it's not a statement, and it has no meaning. Any ideas that people have about colors are simply projections of their own biases.

You're right there are a lot of trends that insecure guys follow because they worried about how manly they might appear to their insecure friends.

It isn't even as pink as people are making it out to be it is a completely gender neutral color and I think it is going to look great.
