Not entirely. Many iP6+ users have complained about the so-called Jetsam events, or the phone saying "Hey, I'm out of RAM". The RAM is shared between the CPU and GPU part of the A-series chip, it's not like a desktop computer with separate chips with their own memory pool. 2GB was actually needed on the A8 but Apple didn't, so I'm glad they did do it on the A9. It's future proofing.People blow the RAM-to-battery issue way out of proportion.
Chipworks did an analysis on the A9 shown at the M9 slide in the keynote, seen here.

It shows 2 cores, 6 GPU cores in a 2x3 cluster, and 2 SRAM spots. That pretty much confirms 2GB, and the fact that several Apple employees also confirm 2GB makes this thread a done deal now.

He's saying that more RAM uses more battery. Not that the 6 and 6 Plus have a RAM limitation (which they do, but iOS 9's efficiency helps a lot). Not entirely. It's so stupid and prideful of Apple to withhold this info, can you imagine if you bought a mac book pro and they wouldn't tell you the amount of ram it has.. Apple are such assesI just confirmed TWICE with different reps in the apple sales department @ 1800-692-7753 and they confirm it comes with 2GB of RAM.
It's from a different forum thread from the MacRumors forum.¿Can you paste the website link?
On the A9X, yes. The A9 (and in fact every iPhone ever made) has its RAM on-board. It's a Package-on-Package structure. Those two spots are probably just internal SRAM and not the 2GB of DDR SDRAM. You would see the 2GB of DDR SDRAM on separate components.
No no no future proofing is the get a new iPhone every year program. Works for me, works for Apple, works at keeping my wallet nice and slim. Fat wallet always been a problem for me, uncomfortable when I sit. Glad Apple has solution for me! LOLNot entirely. Right, but the sram tells us nothing. The sdram is another layer. On the A9X, yes. The A9 (and in fact every iPhone ever made) has its RAM on-board. It's a Package-on-Package structure.
