I am not sure how to change the title of the thread in this new forum format. When I try to edit my OP, it only allows me to change the body of the post, not the title.
Any mods want to help me out here?
Sorry to burst your anti-Apple sentiment, but Apple usually uses quality components. It's cheap (cost-wise) products like Google Nexus tablet that had issues with SSD slowing down to a crawl. If you look at SSD used for Macs they are top notch components with much higher bandwidth compared to competition.I think it is 2GB of LPDDR3 RAM! LPDDR4 is 4X faster and has been available since 2012! But knowing Apple; they just buy the cheapest possible RAM and since they buy it in super bulk volume it like a couple of dollars for 2GB sticks!
It's all a matter of how the phone is used.I don't think it matters if there is 1 or 2GB of RAM, I have the 6 Plus and it works great.
I hope it has 1GB of RAM just for the meltdowns in this thread + forum.
Lol..and "extending out their credit cards"Don't worry, if the s models come with 2GB they will find another reason to lay on the floor while kicking their feet and holding their breath.
Fake. No way could someone have an iPhone 6s outside of Apple. And I highly doubt anyone with access to a 6s in Apple would be posting geekbench scores on Instagram.
So, ask him aboit the ram, tell him you'll rat him out to his lady if he don't snitchActually you're wrong. My best friend is a release manager for iOS at Apple and was allowed to take his 6S outside of Apple as of the keynote wrapping up, so this could be legitimate, but I doubt this is a screenshot from one of those people.

You got that right. I can see it now, 2GB ram confirmed and we go right into, should have happened sooner, it's about time, yadda yadda yadda ....... It wrong kind of ram, not the newest. Give it a rest already!Don't worry, if the s models come with 2GB they will find another reason to lay on the floor while kicking their feet and holding their breath.
If 2GB was included on one or both S models Apple would be announcing it from the roof tops. They never pass an opportunity to tell the world how wonderful they are.
You are talking nonsense and embarrassing yourself. Apple does not communicate the RAM specs of their iPhones, neither in "unflattering" years (when the RAM stays the same) nor in the years when they double it. But you'll get this soon enough when the iFix teardown confirms the 2GB.
I really don't understand why they don't just put it in the tech specs on their website. Do they think Apple purchasers are too daft to understand it.

It was mentioned in the MobileSyrup link, but it doesn't say anything about it being confirmed by Apple employees when asked, so it seems that BGR simply assumed that...? From the link...That is fuzzy math at best. Your link leads to a blog(BGR) that stats that another website Mobliesyrup(IIRC) was told by an Apple employee that the iP6S has 2G of RAM. So I go to that link and nothing on that page mentions "RAM" or "2G". So I watch the video(skimmed through it but didn't watch it fully) nothing was mentioned and the person on camera didn't talk to anyone else on camera. Unless I missed it in the video, which is possible, there is no there there. Nothing. If I am wrong, show me where it's at. Thanks.
Before we get into the two major upgrades over the iPhone 6, here are some smaller one:
- The iPhone 6s and 6s Plus support Band 12 LTE, which Rogers plans to roll out across the country in the coming months
- The devices have 2GB of RAM and a new A9 chip which promises nearly double the CPU and GPU processing power over the A8
- The phones have an improved Touch ID sensor on the home button, with faster response times
- Siri can be initiated using, “Hey, Siri” without the phone needing to be plugged in
- The phones support Category-6 LTE with theoretical download speeds of 300Mbps
- The phones support dual-band 802.11ac WiFi with MIMO with theoretical speeds of 866Mbps
- The phones have improved 5MP front-facing cameras with “Retina Flash” for brighter shots indoors
I see my problem now. I did a page search several times(RAM and 2G) and it would go straight to the comments at the bottom of the page and skip the article. It was mentioned in the MobileSyrup link, but it doesn't say anything about it being confirmed by Apple employees when asked, so it seems that BGR simply assumed that...? From the link...
The 6 is decent with 1gb of RAM but the Plus desperately needed more. Try having two or three apps open and switch between them to see all the annoying refreshes. That's not even counting the web page reloading in Safari. If it has 1GB of memory and runs just fine I don't see what the big deal is. If your all for specs why not move over to android where the specs look great on paper but the experience is terrible
