Samsung vs LG screen, TLC vs MLC memory, and now Samsung vs TSMC silicon. It never ends.
I think it has to do with the insane amount of parts Apple needs to order.

Clearly they cannot get 100 million parts from one supplier.

I'm sure they would like to... but it's impossible.

Is this why i've been experiencing stuttering and freezing occasionally?

6 and 6S running iOS 9.0.1. Same user content. 6S will occasionally freeze for 3-5 seconds, or stutter.

6 runs without issue.

Probably not but can't help but ask

And to all the uppity naysayers, its a simple question. Get off your high horse.

Better get ready for the returns, Apple! People will keep exchanging until they get the better chip like the 32nm A5 iPad 2.

I was positive that they would split versions between the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, but that hasn't been confirmed. I wonder if there is a way to know which chip you have?

Well anyway, the less business for Samsung, the better :p

Perhaps Samsung employs workers with *very slightly* smaller fingers!? :D

In all seriousness I think it's good Apple has multiple choices - and whilst it'll be interesting to see the results of any comparison tests I really doubt this will make any significant difference in the phones' operation or performance outside of benchmarking tests, if at all. I would not expect power consumption to be massively different either.

Oh God... It's coming isn't it.

Exchanges for a different chip model. Complaints about battery life being different.

"My one gets 1 degree hotter than my brother's. Is this a major problem?"

this is just asking for a problem. soon people will only want one or the other

Does this also mean a slightly better battery-life for the 'Samsung chip version'?

True but one has to be better than the other.

DIFFERENT-SIZED-CHIP-GATE!!!

I'll be the 1st to admit I DONT Want no Samsung chip if for no other reason than me having sworn off Samsung junk

If Apple can't fulfil the demand when a new device is released, people complain.

If Apple sources components from two different manufacturers to alleviate supply constraints, people complain.

I think the only way people will be satisfied is if Apple recruits Albus Dumbledore himself to make the phones by magic.

Quick someone get Albus brought back from the dead and get him cranking out iPhones to perfect full specifications minus the Samsung components

To avoid confusion They shouldve just put one in the 6S and the other in the plus. i guess the 14 would go in the 6S to help the battery life there. Assuming it does
