So I ordered a 128gb Black 7plus. It has a ship date of 9/23 but I've been "preparing for shipment for the last 2 days". Does that mean I'll get my phone on launch day ??
FINALLY, just got confirmation of my 7+ RG 128 shipped through FedEx. It is coming from Fort Worth, TX. Will be delivered Friday by 3pm (I am in Ohio). Woohoo! Hopefully more updates start coming for the rest of you!

Mine finally shipped! I just checked it and it went from backordered to shipped!!
I don't know why my matte black 128gb Plus just changed to backordered. I order and got a confirmation before midnight and I see same phones ordered much later are shipping. I guess it's screw the business customers upgrading on premiere site. Smh

From what others have written, oing to "back ordered" status is a good thing! That seems to mean they've allocated a device and you're golden for Friday!
That isn't fine print on the Jet Black iPhone. Those are fine micro-abrasions.

I found this internal ATT memo online for their iPhone 7 launch protocol! Check it out!
ATT iPhone 7 fulfillment protocol for a happy customer on launch day:
Stage 1: estimated Arrival dates - (note to employees - Estimate these dates at least 2 weeks out so the customer is not expecting a launch day phone no matter how early they order).
Stage 2 - Processing (note to employees - please draw this stage out until the very last possible shipping day so our customers have no idea what's going on increasing their anticipation and anxiety. This makes them want the phone even more).
Stage 3 - Backordered (note to employees - at this point customers will give up any hope they will get a phone on launch day).
Stage 4 - Shipping & Tracking - (note to employees - Ship phone to customer at the last possible second so that they get their iPhone on launch day).
Congrats! We have now under promised and over delivered giving our customers a great launch day experience!!
Funny, I'm impatiently waiting for a text or email from ATT with my delivery date (hoping), so every time I hear the text sound or email sound I'm all excited but it's always anyone else but ATT. I must sound so disappointed when I respond. Poor people have no idea. lol
