Your posts have been the most sensible on here. You gave me a lot of hope but like you said no jb pluses in store is very discouraging. I think the last glimmer of hope is the fact that we've seen virtually no movement on jb pluses. There has to be at least one wave that will be shipped and hopefully we are in it.

Exactly!! There has to be one wave. It's impossible otherwise. We will see some movement today. Maybe the high volume phones shipped last from China so as to bring as many as they could to the States. Could be wrong though.
If things are at all the way that AT&T had phones shipped two years ago when the iPhone 6 devices were new, stores would get shipments every day, but generally didn't know exactly how much of which type of devices they were getting.Alright, lets do this. Made a throw away so I don't lose my job. I still won't give away exact numbers because they can tell which store is which by inventory.
AT&T retail sales manager here. Got some inventory in yesterday and expecting more today. For those of you wanting to camp in line, I probably wouldn't recommend it unless you want a 32GB Rose Gold or Matte Black. Or Some 256GB Matte Black. Not one 7 Plus in yesterday. That could change today, but I'm very much doubting it at this point. No other colors but rose and matte black yet on the 7's.
I'm also one of you who pre ordered at 3:01am sharp for a 128GB matte black 7 Plus with 0 movement on my order. So no, we don't get special treatment either lol.
Hopefully we'll see a lot more phones today, or it's going to be a long, long weekend for my staff and I. We are one of the highest volume stores in our market, so we usually get a ton of phones in.
On a positive note, the matte black is very, very sexy.

Talking with Best Buy confirmed the same issue as well, which likely means that most retailers were in the same boat; FedEx or UPS arrives with whatever's allotted to your store for that shipment.
I'm speaking in terms of general inventory availability when I spoke to my locals at that time, not specially-ordered devices.

Same as me. Judging by what others have said previously I would say yes? Unless we're the unlucky bunch and it has been back ordered for us. Which would suck haha

I hope, I high believe it would ship because one of my rose gold showed backordered and then it shipped. So I'm really thinking we should get it.

Mine showed backorder for about 1-2 hrs and then it shipped while his didn't shipped till last late night around 10. So he's took about 12 hrs or so.

Nope, nada for my 128+ matte black.. Same status since 9/9 unfortunately. This is the only preorder I've done where my chances of launch day phone look slim . So much for AT&T's 'first come first serve' motto. There have been a few people who have ordered after me (that have the same model, color and capacity) with shipment notications for 9/16 delivery. So weird.. But I'm still holding on hope for some word today! If not, it'll be another long week LOL.
Mine has said preparing to ship since Saturday PM. I pre-ordered a Matte Black 7+ 128 GB and a Gold 7+ 128 GB on Friday AM about 8:00 AM ET, with a ship date of September 23 - 30. I am even more anxious because my gf and I are leaving T-Mobile for ATT and I am coming back to the iPhone after several years with Android (my gf is just upgrading her iPhone 6+).
Online mine said preparing to ship but *6737# said backorder so hopefully for everyone else its like that
CONGRATS!! Is it via FedEx? Did it say Backordered or Preparing to Ship right before that? What was your original delivery date?
