Ordered iphone7 128g matte black from at&t ,expected delivery tomorrow but just checked tracking it says:
"Per shipper instructions, package will not be delivered until the scheduled delivery date". Correct me if I'm wrong, does this just mean the shipper doesn't want the packaged delivered until tomorrow the 16th?

Update on this:
My iPhone 7 128GB Jet Black has not shipped. Still shows Oct 13-20 just like it always has.

Now showing backordered ONLY through *6737#
In my previous AT&T ordering experiences, this is a good sign for movement of the order.
However, I am still able to cancel my order.

Yeah I think I tend to be the same lol. I have high hopes for gaining admittance into Camp 2 eventually.
 
Ordered Iphone 7 Plus Matte Black at 9am Still says in progress... ship date 9/23-/9/30 hope it comes tomorrow..also noticed the charge hold was taken off my account.

I guess it's just time to accept that my husband's 7+ matte black 32gb isn't going to be here tomorrow. Estimated ship date has stayed 9/30-10/7 since we ordered it.

But my regular 7 RG will be here so at least I will be happy.
 
soooo I'm just hopping on here today for the first time and after skimming the thread i see a few other people also have the issue of the status page throwing a "can't find that order #" error as well. I'm in the 7+256rgd 9/23-9/30 group and I fully expect to see fedex overnight label produced today for tomorrow delivery because it's the way it has worked out in the past. However, if it doesn't then it will still probably arrive prior to the shipping window either way so i'm not going to be upset and honestly i'm not pissed that I don't have an "update" They don't need to update me on the status of my phone when they already gave me an estimated shipping window prior to me hitting "purchase" and I accepted that. I don't expect them to email me saying... "just letting you know that your phone is still in china and your window is still when we plan on shipping..." If i wanted the status that is what the order status page is for. The only real reason in my own opinion to be upset would be if i was promised a delivery date that they didn't make good on, but since no one has actually missed a delivery date yet since they come out tomorrow everything is just speculation until then. I can also understand disappointment if you bought the phone under one shipment window and then they push it back. That sucks and att protects themselves with the disclaimer at the bottom of your status email saying that those dates can change. So if they push my window back would I be disappointed? sure. But outraged as I have seen a few? No. Who can you really blame? You can estimate demand but you can't predict the sales of several different colors and styles and models and sizes of phones. It would be impossible to know how many would be ordered in the first day of each color because even past sales can't predict the popularity of each new product. Obviously if they could see into the future maybe they would have predicted the silly outcry over the headphone jack or the law suit on the apple upgrade program, but they aren't all knowing. They are innovative and they produce pretty awesome products and I'm betting they spend more on research and development than guessing who wants rose gold and who wants black in order to have them ready day 1. Part of staying profitable is also not over-supplying because the fact that it's hard to get right now makes it more appealing... just psychology. And it's smarter to find out the demand first before over-producing. Also, if AT&T doesn't know the demands of it's customers and how many of each model/style they will have available beyond the first shipment it's also hard for them to be blamed for the demand exceeding expectations. So I'm happy to wait and speculate and enjoy the drama and excitement and I really can't wait to play with my new toy but if life has taught me anything it is to remain flexible and focus on what is important and what you can control and not get too worried about the things you can't. Just a bit of random thoughts... not telling anyone how to feel or to "relax" lol.... I wouldn't dare. Just explaining my own thought process and sharing my experience and predictions without adding to hysteria :)

Ordered 9/9 2:40AM CT, 7+ 256GB Matte Black. Estimated delivery 9/23-30. No update as of yet. I can tell you that my Otterbox shipping through Fed Ex hasn't had a status update on the Fed Ex app or website since yesterday when it was 2 hours away from my house on a truck (Otterbox shipped FedEx Ground) and it's supposed to be delivered today. I'll bet those of us who are destined to get a 7+ tomorrow are going to find out either tonight or tomorrow. Fed Ex isn't updating online that I'm aware of unless maybe my Otterbox was lost in the shuffle and didn't get scanned today.
 
Don't lose hope. I apologize I can't post a screenshot from work, but my iPhone 7 Plus 128GB matte black shipped just now! And don't rely on 1 of their systems Text received and email received saying shipped with tracking number. Online order status still says preparing to ship. Too many systems! Here is a copy/paste from a portion of the email. I know it doesn't look legit, but I promise I'm not trolling. Top line shows item, 2nd line is QTY ordered, 3rd line is QTY shipped, 4th line is date shipped.

Ordered 9/9 2:52 am CST.

Longtime lurker but just have some info to share. Preordered 7+ rose gold at 8am est. added new line for it estimated delivery 09/16. Preparing to ship but if I dial *6737# it says back ordered. My phone is shipping to a different address as my parents address is my billing in a different state. ATT just called me and asked me to verify if I ordered a phone to my adresss and said they just needed to make sure as they were getting the order ready now. Im taking this as a good sign.
 
Well... Now I have a situation.

My iPhone was shipped today at morning and the transaction on my bank disappeared. So I have the money back. I called to AT&T and they said me that everything's fine with my order and I will receive it tomorrow but that they don't know how that happened. I won't use that money but anyone with the same situation?

On the bank they said me that I don't have any transaction of AT&T. Neither the hold appeared :$
 
Quick reprieve from shipping talks, any jet black people not worried about the scratching? If my JB 128GB 7 doesn't get here tomorrow, I'm seriously considering canceling my order and just getting the matte black because of all of the wear issues. But I just wonder if it's really blown out of proportion or not. Fingerprint smudging and normal scratches (like the iPhone 3g or 4 models) don't really bother me, but people make it sound like if you fart your phone will get a huge scratch and it'll ruin the phone.

Cancel and order the black. Shiny is not in anymore.. matte black is the **** now.

Im just throwing a really good quality clear case on mine...in a year the phone will be going back for the 7s or the 8 anyway...
