Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

I have a close friend who works for AT&T. He's going to check to see if an IMEI is showing up on my account for my 7+ 256GB JB with dates of 9/30-10-7. Stay tuned.

Standard overnight delivery is to arrive by 8PM for a residential address. I know various Fedex trucks come down my street dropping packages throughout the day. I imagine if the package is in transit by late the prior evening or even very early morning the day of, they will get it there. I know I have seen my own packages arrive at my airport 5am-ish and arrive at my house a few hours later.

I ordered by phone at 12:09AM Friday, got an email that my order went in. Got another email saturday saying my order went in and now my order date says Saturday at 11:00am.....so depressing.

It's not just media. Apple also warns about this, I don't see why he can't be worried about it or why he's being called paranoid.

"The high-gloss finish of the jet black iPhone 7 is achieved through a precision nine-step anodization and polishing process. Its surface is equally as hard as other anodized Apple products; however, its high shine may show fine micro-abrasions with use. If you are concerned about this, we suggest you use one of the many cases available to protect your iPhone."

I would personally not buy the jet black! I hate cases and I'm careless when it comes down to my phone. I don't baby my iPhones and if Apple says it may show micro-abrasions with use, to me, that means it will be full of scratches after a while because of the way I handle my phone! so no need to judge!

Yes, thats why I asked. Seems fishy with that 1am window if i really am the only one who got a shipping date that early.

Ah ok. Yeah that's the first I've seen of that window but since they already messed with your account that probably has something to do with it.
 
Did anyone else order it for delivery in store? I had my shipped to my nearest (5 minutes away) ATT store so im hoping that if they get any phones in for campers or "walk ins" that my phone is in with their initial shipment so maybe all hope is not lost.

This what I'm talking about when I say "paranoid". If you have ever owned any product of any kind that is glossy black, you will know what micro-abrasions look like, and you'll know that doesn't translate to "full of scratches". They are also nearly impossible to see unless you hold at the right angle under light, because of how reflective the surface is.

Anybody get ship notification for jet black 128 plus? Still nothing here, oct 14-21 est, preparing to ship basically since ordered, 3:02am 9/09

No idea what the reference number is related to. It seems random, and I can't find any info on what it is tied to.

I have the exact phone, same delivery dates!! I ordered around 3:20am EST..

Dude, people aren't freaking out and burning down buildings. We are just getting people's opinions on how they feel about the phone.

I also had mine delivered to the store. They said it will be availble Friday, just like a walk-in. I don't know how correct he was, but if so, it's a good sign.
