Sorry if this has been answered, but what if you ordered it from the ATT store, does anyone know how to get a tracking info or something? I've tried "tracking by reference" no go, ATT store said delivered tomorrow, which my brother needs before he goes off to school

That was me. Mine showed backordered early yesterday afternoon and then around 10 or so it finally changed to shipped. So hopefully that means you're will ship soon too!

yes, thanks our both rose golds shipped and now im just waiting for my blacks 7 plus 128gb

1 is backordered since yesterday (but was ordered 2:54am et)
1 is in process (ordered at 4ish am et) (it was originally with above order, but it got cancel and reorder but it self)

It’s one thing to miss out on a ‘launch day’ iPhone due to limited supply. I get it, there’s just not enough to go around and the matte black 7 Plus seems to be very popular.

But, when I see that people who ordered 5 – 30 minutes (or more) after I did (same exact model, color and capacity) receive shipping notifications, while my status remains unchanged, it’s just outrageous.

That is the equivalent of waiting on line at the Apple Store (or any store) and the staff walks passed you (even though you got there earlier and were in line first) and pick people that are standing way behind you off the line to process their iPhone order first, leaving you with nothing (or at least waiting longer).

No actual store would ever do that, especially during a high profile product launch (and get away with it without some bad press) – so it’s outrageous that AT&T’s online store is doing exactly that. If they don’t have the ability, logistics and know-how to ship high-demand items (that their services run on) in a first come – first served basis, then they shouldn’t have an online store presence.

Oh, and while I am venting, can we all agree that their app and site completely suck? Unorganized, slow, and totally amateurish looking. They make billions, so they should be able to figure all this stuff out.

This isn't a Yahoo store front from 1997. It's AT and friggin' T! Every now and then we are reminded that today’s ‘AT&T’ is just merely ‘Cingular Wireless’ wearing the big and powerful brand name they purchased years ago.

Completely unacceptable.

Having said all that (and forgive my rant), I do hope that they prove me wrong and that all of us in the same order window (9/23-9/30) waiting for our iPhone 7+ matte black (128gb) pre-orders to ship, will receive shipping notifications today. If this does actually happen, then this retailer instigated virtual 'line cutting' will be a lot more tolerable.
Completely agree with this.. I've never preordered an iPhone before and usually just gotten lucky at a Best Buy or authorized retailer a few days after launch. I got my order in at 2:50 am ET with a ship date of 9/23-9/30 for my 7+ 128gb in matte black. I had no issue waiting the extra week initially but then I found this forum and there was talk of earlier ship dates in past years and my ears perked up. Now there actually IS earlier ship dates for people with later processed order times than mine. Not the biggest deal, but the obvious "virtual line cutting" is annoying.

Just went into my ATT store that im having my phone (7+ matte black 128g) shipped to to see what the chances are of my phone arriving instore tomorrow. Spoke with someone, not sure of his position but the way the other associates kinda stiffened up when he walked in lead me to believe he was someone who knew what he was talking about and with a little bit of authority. He told me the chances are as close to 0% as you can get with out flat out saying no chance. He went on to say (not sure if I can say this, since he got a little quite when he said this next part) that they are only getting 4 phones in tomorrow. Didn't specify whether they were +'s or regulars but assured me that none of them would be Matte or Piano black. With my shipping date of 9/23-9/30 he seemed more than comfortable telling me that I would get my phone next week. He also went on to say that the Jet Black phones have been pushed back to November (assuming he meant for those not already preordered)

This was just my experience at my store. Other stores could be different but I feel a bit more comfortable knowing that I can stop worrying about something that wont happen tomorrow. Of course they could also get an individual shipment in with my name on it but odds are slim.
