Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

Ordered iPhone 7+ Gold 128 fb at about 9 am on 9/9. Just got notice that FedEx will deliver tomorrow. Original date was 9/23-30.

There is no such thing when it comes to preordering phones. Requires too much in terms of logistics which you'd think AT&T has but it's all lies. Don't know how they allocate phones to orders but then again I doubt AT&T does either.

Wow really At&T, my 128 gb matte 7+ Had a ship date of 9/30-10/7.

Status change from preparing to ship now to back ordered yet you charged my card yesterday.

WTF. I ordered it when preorders went live and now it's showing back ordered. I want my f*cking money back then. This has got to be the worst preorder I have ever dealt with through At&T.

I just don't get it. How can my status go from preparing to ship with a date, now back ordered, yet you charged my card and took my money.

This was just my experience at my store. Other stores could be different but I feel a bit more comfortable knowing that I can stop worrying about something that wont happen tomorrow. Of course they could also get an individual shipment in with my name on it but odds are slim.

Again they will get an individual shipment with your name on it. The process is no different if you ordered it online or in store. Their store stock has nothing to do with your order. I don't know what your reasons were to have it shipped to the store.. but your phone should be delivered tomorrow to that store based on your ship dates.

Back Order normally is a good thing.

I would wait before getting too concerned. I have seen some stories of order statuses changing to "Backordered" prior to receiving shipping notification. *fingers crossed for you*

The Otterbox case is for my 6S that I'll be handing off to my dad.
The Zagg screen protector is for my new 7.

I researched and the 6/6S & 7 are exactly the same size, minus weight by a few grams. So, get something "old" for the 6 to use on the 7, might cost a few $$ less, and still fits fine! I plan to use my newly ordered Speck case from my 6S on the 7.

Apple leather case is awesome for the plus. Enough to protect the corners and it's a really nice grip.

I keep hearing people say that but when has "back order" ever been a good thing? That means your item isn't in stock and you've been placed in a "purgatory" of sorts until the item becomes available. Unless "back order" means something different for AT&T. Not saying youre wrong ofcourse ive just never heard "back order" being something encouraging.

I know I have only pre-ordered twice - although this experience was smoother - I got my last pre-order on launch date. This is just sad AT&T

If they charged your card that means it's shipping, regardless of what your status says. That's a good sign.

Not to give you false but a lot of people earlier said they had the same thing happen - Preparing to Ship then Back ordered then they got shipping notification.
