Still waiting on an update for mine. Ordered a 128GB Matte Black + at 3:37am ET. Order status still says preparing to ship with 9/23-9/30 as ship days. I didn't pay attention to my card to notice if payment dropped and returned but its currently pending on my Visa. I'm located in DFW where it seems everyone's phone are shipping from. So maybe I'll get something later tonight.
 
I highly doubt getting the 2nd plus on my order tomorrow. After 5pm EDT and it won't make the flights UPS or FedEx. Wonder how much longer I will have to wait - eat. 9/23 to 9/30 (128GB silver Plus)
 
Do you guys think if I cancel my att order and sign up with apple for IUP they will let me pick up a phone tomorrow or Saturday lol?

... no lol they are already having trouble getting existing one IUP and you just gonna join now... You might be able to but its hard to little chance

Anyone from Chicago have their 7 plus 128GB matte black ship yet?? I still have nothing and I ordered at 3:00:50AM ET on 9/9

It appears that "order time" has nothing whatsoever to do with when you receive delivery notices from ATT. Weirdest thing I've very experienced doing this for nearly a decade.


I wonder if it had to do with the queue system? I entered into the queue very early on and had an extremely short wait that morning. It took me a lot longer to get everything I needed to place the order itself and even had an issue with the first attempt which required starting over. Technically I hit the site well before it opened even though my order was placed well after it opened.
 
I just placed my order through AT&T online for an Iphone 7 Plus 256 Jet Black.

Estimated ship dates: November 25, 2016 - December 2, 2016

The person I chatted with online stated they have received more Jet Black iPhones so my ship date should change to a sooner date.

You ordered the unicorn... Expect delays lol.

Jet black likely arent coming in general for Pluses.

But I agree totally. ATT is f**cked up. People are getting shipped on 128 Plus black ordered the next morning and we stayed up and still "pending"

It's asinine. Last I checked pre order should be FIRST COME FIRST SERVE by order time/order number. That's the damn point of a pre order. First in at 3am in order like lining up at the store.

I will never ever order a phone from ATT's site again; first and last time.
The issue is that the back-end systems did not likely process things based on how Internet traffic was coming in FIFO. Basically, the "line" we're all waiting in is likely so skewed that trying to make sense of it from the external website would be impossible.

Jokes on me I guess.

I put the Jet Black 128 gb 7+ in my cart and saw the delivery dates of Oct 2+. Backed out and placed the JB 256 gb 7+ in my cart and saw 9/23-9/30, thought I was being sly.

My life proof case failed on me during my honeymoon in Hawaii 2 weeks ago and I refused to buy a new phone because I thought I'd have the 7+ on launch day.

Such a friggin fail.
 
While waiting, here's a friendly reminder to be prepared for arrival day.
Have a case, screen protector handy. As well as some snacks on hand.
You might want to unplug some easy to reach outlets so you can charge while you setup.
Do you have a backup ready to update your new 7?
You Might also want to shower and/or shave in advance. Oh and feed your pets - I've heard some folks don't lift their heads from the screen for days after their new iphone arrives. :p
 
With ATT required to have FedEx hold all the packages for Friday deliver, it makes me wonder, how on earth is FedEx going to deliver all of those packages? Those poor delivery guys have a long day tomorrow.

Mine has not shipped. I'm in Austin. I'm hoping they are holding them to go out with UPS all at once rather than trickling them out to FEDX

I too got in early, but that is not my fault, it's AT&T's. Why punish us for their F'up? These guys are horrid at logistics. They should stick to being a service provider and get out of the phone selling business, or at least the "preorder" business. They simply do not have the system for a logistics project this large. Just pathetic.
