So I ordered two iphones. One Rose Gold 128GB iphone 7, and one 256GB Jet Black 7 plus. From the start, the rose gold had a delivery by date of 9/16. Jet Black had a ship by date of 9/30 to 10/7, which was expected. Rose gold had been preparing to ship the last few days. Yesterday, I was getting errors on the website that my order didn't exist, so I called them. Agent said everything looked fine, system sometimes has issues, and that it looked like the rose gold was shipping yesterday for delivery today. Great. I check that app last night, the order is back and the rose gold still says preparing to ship. Don't think much of it, since a lot of people had not been updated that it had shipped or gotten tracking numbers.
I wake up, check status, and delivery by date still says 9/16, but item status now says backordered. I talk to AT&T again, first they tell me item is backordered, then he says he checks another system and he shows that it's still going to deliver today. But he can't provide any tracking number. Color me skeptical. Especially since we've already received our morning fedex order here at the office and the phone wasn't one of the packages.
I've never had any issue ordering through Apple, and I would have done so this time if their damn website had been working for me. But I got impatient and ordered directly through At&t, and I regret that. Buncha morons. I will be incredibly surprised if the rose gold actually delivers today.
