My "even AT&T doesn't know" was more tongue in cheek than anything. Of course someone there knows. It's the customer service representatives that know next to nothing about anything that is going on.

Dude, now you're just sounding petty instead of just bitter. This forum represents a very small percentage of iPhone users. Take what you read here with a grain of salt. I would be upset if I were you, too, but the statement that everyone who ordered early got screwed is just not a fact. That's all I was correcting. And I'm a girl, thanks.
Same phone and same shipping estimate. What does your online order status show?
Same phone and same dates here...they told you that your phone is in the warehouse now? When did you call?
Mine is the same, but after reading the multitude of posts here, I do believe the dates given to everyone don't mean a thing...
You'll get it sooner. Mine was saying the 19th but I got it today. I don't have prime and I ordered before they were in stock on the 11th. Amazon shipping estimates and updates suck. now I just get the tracking number because they over estimate on packages and you end up getting them sooner. Both my packages were scheduled for Monday but came in today.
The only thing that's good about their shipping updates is the notification telling you your package has been left in your mailbox
I didn't order til Saturday afternoon and mine shows as Oct 7-14.
FWIW when I go to att.com and configure a 128gb matte black 7plis the shipping estimate is oct 21-28?

can you tell us how you got this info? Every time I called they just told me "we have no other information besides your shipping date sir"
Amazon had 2-day shipping on a lot of Spigen cases..got mine a few days ago, but no iPhone yet

Yes I am having some sporadic issues connecting with the iTunes Store too.
Perhaps the activations and the downloads to the new iPhones? Just a guess.
UPS just delivered the 128GB 7 JB I ordered from Apple. I'll give it another 30 min before I call it quits on waiting for FedEx to deliver a miracle 7+ Black still showing as "preparing to ship" on AT&T and leave work.
They can't give you a rough estimate of when more come in, because they don't know what their logistics provider (e.g.: FedEx, UPS, etc.) is going to bring them on any given day.
Granted it's been some pages back, but we made a point of this in the thread already. Of course, it's always good to get a reminder.
She told me they just arrived at the warehouse. They have a little more access than what is shown on the website

You got 2 weeks you can return it and get a plus if they get em. Only thing that sucks is you gotta pay that $35 restocking fee
I'm starting to think I'm never gonna see Preparing To Ship change to Shipped. Totally bummed today.
I don't want to dash your hopes, but I feel like this is a stock answer they give everyone. Granted everyones phone is "in the warehouse now" so I suppose in that sense they did not lie.
So, for anyone interested - on your ATT invoice that comes in the box you can see when your phone was "picked" - which I think represents when it was set aside for shipment.

Very interesting as the MB sent a shipped text on 9/14/16 @ 8:31a (CT). Must've been stateside already.
But, JB sent a shipped text on 9/15/16 @ 12:13p (CT) - so if ATT time was ET, then it took a little over an hour from when it was picked to when it sent the shipping text. Leads me to believe that ATT was waiting for this stock from China.
