you don't have to go into settings to change the brightness. there is a shortcut. Just swipe the screen up from the bottom and you can adjust the brightness from there.
A year ago I got my notification at 11pm on Sat, so yes they ship over the weekend, just no Saturday delivery, I got my phone the following Monday.

Shipping date was October 8
I got shipment notification on th 14
The phone was home when I get home today
Personally I have next and it's the 2 nd time I preorder online is just so easy and you avoid the crowd and waiting in store

Jerome wait until you're in the boat where everything doesn't go smoothly. It's the lack of information and communication that we are upset about. ATT letting us know what is going on would give some of us peace of mind
People are upset with At&t because most here ordered before you did and because you got your phone before they did, proving that At&t's claim of first come fist serve as it states on the email from them is false.
I guessing you wouldn't be saying thanks if you didn't get yours today.

same boat as you. i'm really salty and over it at this point. for my first time preordering, i can confidently say i will not preorder through ATT again. i don't like this failure to communicate they like to do.
Well, after lurking here for a week I just cancelled my order. I did it because after seeing some of the scratch videos for JB I decided I want MB. I often go without a case and realized I'd be way too neurotic with no case on JB. My original order was at 3:00:07 ET for a JB 256GB Plus and had a shipping window of Sept 30 - Oct 6. Got my confirmation from ATT immediately and it stayed in Preparing for Shipment the entire time.
I just placed a new order through Apple for MB 256GB Plus with a shipping window of Oct 11 - 17. I'll still be following this thread to see if I still manage to get my phone at roughly the same time as the other JB 256GB Pluses here. I honestly think you all will see your phones early next week. I'm in the same boat. Ordered at 3:03 eastern time. Preparing for shipment limbo. No phone.
How long did it take for your Next(If you did Next) to be put back into place to be eligible?
I am signed up for Next but I paid off the balance on my phone several weeks ago so I don't think my Next eligibility was an issue. I cancelled ATT order and placed Apple order within 10 mins of each other. All done online with no interaction with CS.
I cancelled my iphone 7 Jet Black Order, because I saw that there are lot of finger prints on the back of the phone with use.
And then placed order for AT&T black phone near my house and scheduled for in-store pick up.
Guys - You can search for any color iPhone near your house (except Jet Black).

AT&T is not the only one with problems. I just checked out the TMobile forum, they have 334 pages of comments all complaining about the same issues we have. They have more consistent notification/shipping information but are still not getting their phones and are getting delays, back orders and no info from the customer service lines.
