Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

Don't settle! Especially if you already had the 6 Plus or 6S Plus! Holding a smaller iPhone just feels inadequate to me now that I've had the larger models for the past two years.
Good to know. I set up alerts for UPS and USPS just in case, however I wasn't able to set it up for FedEx because my address is still listed as a business in their system (it was converted to an apartment building this year).

Yeah I have a 6 plus now.
Is there anyone who can speak to this type of delay from a previous launch - is it quiet than normal in terms of shipping and also how long did it take for you to get your phones - particularly 6 plus owners.
Same issue with me with FedEx; my apartment building was built earlier this year and there used to be a big car shop here

Has anyone else with an iPhone 7 (AT&T) noticed that HD Voice calls are no longer working?
When calling others with that have an iPhone 6 or 6s on AT&T the phone calls are no longer in HD.
Previously, when using my iPhone 6 to call others on AT&T that had iPhones 6 or 6s it would be crystal clear.

Well this isn't really a delay. They gave us non launch dates when we accepted the pre-order. That being said I had October dates on my 6+ and received in September.
I ordered a 7+ 128g matte black this time with 9/23-9/30 dates. Still preparing to ship.
Given the demand, only thing that sucks is that orders are not being filled in order of placement. I am sure the logistics are a bit overwhelming for IP launches however. I am hopeful I get mine this week!

Question - I know this is a pre-order thread. But since we are in here waiting - does anyone have any tips on how I can be more productive on my iPhone. I have had iphones off and on for the years - the 3 the 4 and 6 plus - However I miss the productive feeling I had on my blackberry when I was in college.

Not that it necessarily means anything for us but someone in the Verizon thread just had their 256 GB ship.
I can't remember for my 6 Plus, but I do recall my 6S Plus arriving on September 30th last year, which was a week before my estimated delivery date.
There is bound to be some type of movement today as far as shipment notifications. I can't believe AT&T would go ALL weekend and not update any orders or start shipping preorders again.
For all those considering canceling their order or settling for the 7 over the + due to reasons solely based on the excruciating wait, please don't do it! The start of our ship estimates haven't even come around yet, I would say give it at least that long before you settle for the next year. You never know, we could be just a day away from our ship notifications. HOLD STRONG EARLY PREORDERERS! Our time is coming!

I'm very tempted to cancel my 7+ 128gb matte black and wait for it in silver instead. Hoping silver is in less demand. I'm not sold on black in general either, especially when paired with the leather Apple case color options. Love the cases but hate the colors other than black on black. I'm one of many with the 9/23-9/30 window but doubtful it ships by then. I'm also out of town for the next 3 weeks and have no way to obtain my phone, so if I have to wait anyway I might as well wait for exactly what I want. In the mean time I will try to gimp along with my 6S and it's dying battery.
People cannot be mad at Apple for not having enough devices so everyone is could have one on launch day. Apple clearly said that it would be controlled by supply, not demand this time around.

My guess is that the carriers are expecting a big shipment of these to fulfill preorders starting on the 23rd, which is 2 weeks after preorders started. From my memory, typically Apple releases their devices 2 weeks after preorders start. So it makes sense, but making the launch day only 1 week after preorders was not smart. I expect everyone that has 9/23-9/30 ship dates will have them within that time frame.

I will tell you I saw the 7 plus black in person yesterday. It is really nice.

Amazon has a deal with USPS to deliver some packages of theirs on Sundays. We get those deliveries regularly.
If Apple had such limited stock for JB 7 pluses why not just make it a limited edition and once the initial stock sales out make it unavailable to order until you get more in. This is crazy, I've only seen a few JB pluses in the wild period. On a positive note this thread has been pure entertainment and a great pastime for the past week so once I get my phone I'll miss it along with the suspense but at the same time I want my phone!
