Carrier iPhone 7/7+ AT&T Pre-Order Thread

Same here. I particularly liked how the 6 Plus and 6S Plus was so thin, but I do agree with how slippery they can get.

Huh... Sunday or Monday, it's not a big deal for me since I don't have my phone yet. Haha!

They typically don't deliver to where I live on Sundays (I've ordered a lot of stuff from Amazon in the past and they've always shown up on Monday when it said that it would be delivered on Sunday).
 
my wife's 128 gold plus got delivered yesterday. still in limbo on my 256 black plus. still "preparing to ship" with the same 9/23-9/30 ship date. oh well, at least it hasnt slipped back yet. 3:18am eastern time preorder btw. still no 256 pluses shipped? hard to sift through 232 pages

Has there been any movement for ANY of the jet blacks?

(My Configuration: AT&T iPhone 7 Plus - 128GB - Jet Black; ordered 09.09.2016 at 4:04am ET; still says "Preparing to Ship.")
 
Took a look at flight aware no inbound iPhone flights at the moment, checked at general UPS flights seems that the planes are returning to anchorage, hopefully to get more iPhones mainland soon.

Not likely, I think all of us waiting on black pluses are screwed, we will be lucky to get them by the 30th

Has anyone here that ordered a black 7+ on 9/10 or later gotten any updates at all? I ordered around 2pm last Saturday and I haven't heard anything. I still have an October 7-14 delivery estimate.

I haven't seen a single one through any outlet. In fact the only one I've seen is pictures someone posted in Canada of the display model in an Apple Store.

Mine is the same as yours except my order was at 3:01am ET.

^^^ I agree 100%. This forum is full of impatient people. Some are so depressed that they either chose a phone they don't really want or they switch providers because they have one in stock. I stopped counting the number of people who purchased a 7 just to hold them over until there 7+ arrived. Today's society wants instant gratification NOW. Read some of the topics on all the rage that is going on because there phone has not shipped yet. Out of all the post there are only a few legit reasons to be upset.

But also do realize people stayed up to 3am and later on the east coast, with the implication that a pre-order was such that you are pre-ordering the phone to not have to go in on launch day to get one, but rather shipped to you. That's the whole point of a pre-order! Not to pre-order to get it in October!

The whole pre-ordering pitch Apple makes is order in advance and at your door launch day; no waiting on line. I saw nothing in their key note or advertising before pre-orders start there wouldn't be enough stock or anything. Clearly they wanted people to believe there would be and click the buy button.

If Apple was not ready with near enough stock they should have pushed launch back another week like previous years. It's clear with zero in store that they simply didnt have enough ready

Despite my personal anger at this situation and no phone, people certainly have a right to be pissed at the whole situation as a whole. It was handled incredibly poorly this year.

ive seen a few that have been delivered vis ups. but im just asking cause it shows up for me that a package will be delivered the 19th but only thing is its weight is 7lbs so that cant be an iphone

I'm sure there'll be plenty more vids, and probably some angry customers (Apple did warn us), in the coming days. I really wanted to like the Jet Black and probably will be jealous looking at the new ones (may even run by apple store today just to see). However, I want to be able to go without a case and not worry about it looking worn after only a few outings.

I know.... I am glad that I cancelled my Jet Black phone.
Yesterday I saw a Jet Black phone in Best Buy, it had hundreds of finger prints on the back and the phone was looking hidious.
That is the reason I cancelled my order and got a black one.

I initially got in at 2:58am ET via the myAT&T app, but got kicked out due to "Scheduled Maintenance."

I was able to get into the Apple Store app shortly after 3:00am, but due to having the AT&T Next program, the only option they gave me was to pay the full retail value of the iPhone (no thank you!).

So I eventually got back into AT&T's website and completed my order at 4:04am. Confirmation e-mail didn't show up until 11:30am ET on the 9th. Estimated shipping date was October 14th to October 21st.

For some odd reason, later that afternoon I received an e-mail from Apple saying that they held one on reservation for me, but like I mentioned earlier, my only option was to pay the full retail price from them.

Ordered 128GB 7+ Matte Black from Apple with estimated deliver date Oct 12 - Oct 18.

I will never again order anything from AT&T.

I also hit cancel button for my pre-order of i7 128 GB JB and looked for in-store pick of i7 128 GB Matt black up near my house.
There was an AT&T store 8 miles away from my house, which had available in stock. So now I am going to pick up from there in couple of hours.

dont do it. stay strong lol. my brother was considering the same thing but he ended up staying with 128GB matte black iphone 7 plus and wait it out

Its funny you say that. I pre-ordered my first iPhone on the 9th along with everyone else around 3:14 AM. 7+ 128 MatteBlack.Still preparing to ship :( I have been with Android since 2007, and have had all of the fanboy devices- HTC droid incredible 1/2, galaxy nexus, nexus 5, nexus 6, and now my Note 5. Its funny you say that the iPhone is slower than your note when even on the r/Android I found this. New iPhone is fast...by a long shot ( http://www.tomsguide.com/us/iphone-7-benchmark-results,news-23474.html ) I will see for myself once mine ships to see if this article speaks the truth, but I feel we are in the same boat nonetheless. I am looking forward to a change, and still think android as a platform has a lot more capabilities, but I am very impressed with how Apple is closing the gap between iOS and Android. iOS is not what is what 5 years ago and am looking forward to seeing how I like my first iPhone. BTW I picked up a Macbook pro 2015 and I am in love- bootcamped with windows 10 as well- this thing is a machine. Apple is slowly starting to grow on me...a lot. ;)
