If you call AT&T now, there is a good likelihood that they will re-instate your order and you won't lose your place in their mysterious queue. Other people have posted here that they cancelled and were able to get their order back. Don't waste time and do it now. Another option is to wait until 12:02am tonight and go to https://reserve.cdn-apple.com/US/en...1&sourceID=email&rv=0&path=&iPP=U&appleCare=Y and see if they have a phone available. There is a decent chance they will have a phone because there are plenty of people who reserve a phone and don't come to pick it up, that's why you have to check every night to see what is in stock.
Thank you for the advice. I will check inventory again tonight but I'm probably not going to reinstate my order with AT&T because I have decided I want the MB instead of JB after seeing all the scratch videos. Thanks again:)

I spoke with an AT&T CSR last night via chat and she told me that I have already accepted the T & C, despite only receiving one e-mail since I pre-ordered.

If you order a device with AT&T online, they require these conditions be met as a signing proxy from you. This is why they won't take preorders over the phone, because they have to make sure you at least have the opportunity to read all conditions, especially when financing.

In my opinion, I don't see how anyone could have any semblance of an order already existing without terms and conditions being checked (because, by definition, refusing to checkmark means you're rejecting the transaction).

No CT here either, Charge dropped off my card yesterday. Bad news is I don't have enough cash left in the account until tomorrow if they decide to charge today. Damn automatic IRA deposits.

7 Plus Black 128GB / Ordered @ 4:25 am EST / Estimated ship date : 9/23rd-30th / Status: Preparing to Ship

But there was bug on their end, that allowed orders to be placed w/o accepting terms...they fixed the ordering issue about an hour after preorders started...

Just because we check the checkbox on our side doesn't mean the system on the other side properly recognized that fact and I think that is where the problem is coming in for some folks. The front end web server may have seen "yes they checked that box - proceed" but there could have been an error then with a back end system picking that up which is my guess where the error is for some folks. (No idea if this is what happened - just using my general system engineering and system design knowledge)

I just got home with my 7+ 128 gb, Batman Black (matte black).

I want to post this because although the information is somewhere in this thread, I want to keep it relevant for those still waiting.

I pre-ordered a 7+ 128gb Matte Black via the AT&T website on 9/9 and my order went through at 3:03am EST.
As with many of us, until this morning at 10:21am EST when I cancelled my pre-order, my status was Preparing to Ship with estimated ship dates of 9/23-9/30.

Last night at 12:03am EST I went to https://reserve.cdn-apple.com/US/en...1&sourceID=email&rv=0&path=&iPP=U&appleCare=Y and found that there was a 7+ 128gb MB at a local Apple store (I'm located in Southern NJ between Philadelphia and the coast), so I reserved it for a 10:00-10:30am pickup time this morning.

When I arrived at the Apple store and checked in with the greeter, I very briefly explained to him the situation with some pre-orders via AT&T and said that I would be cancelling my pre-order once I saw the phone I reserved in the Apple store employees hands. I had no doubts, but he assured me that my phone was there.

I then checked my order status (one last time) via the myAT&T app and also via *6737#, both resulted in that my order was Preparing to Ship (the same status I've had for the past 8 days). I then logged back into the myAT&T app and cancelled my order. Note: when you first hit cancel, it will take you to a screen and at the top in a yellow box states: "This cancels your entire order. Call us 877.782.8870, or visit an AT&T store to cancel single items in this order." This is important if you have more than one thing on order, I just had one item, the phone, so the message wasn't applicable to me. If you scroll down on that screen there is a pull-down menu that you can select a reason (optional) for your cancellation. I chose (I found a better offer), but there is an option of (my order took too long). Then they ask you again if you want to cancel your order and you select yes. They will send you a confirmation email as well as confirm on the screen that your order is being cancelled. I got the email from AT&T about 6 minutes later that my order was cancelled.

I would like to note that having read these types of posts on this thread helped me out significantly! I knew what to expect and how everything worked.

When the apple employee came out with my phone I told her first thing that I recently had a pre-order from AT&T that I just cancelled and that I would like to acquire the new phone using AT&T Next not the Apple Update program. She went through the options (AT&T Next 30 months or 24 months) and also when it came time to select a data plan, it turns out there is a plan that offers 1 more gb of data and is $10 less than what my current plan is. Naturally I selected the new option and she explained that AT&T does not go out of their way to offer this information (which makes sense business-wise because they would lose out money). My old phone was deactivated and my new one is activated (but still wrapped in the box because I wanted to set it up at home (they give you the option to do it at the store).

She also asked me if I wanted to turn in my old phone for the credit, which looking back might have been a good option; however, I have read some things here of people saying the legal fine print is suspect. I declined because I had already accepted an offer of $185.00 from a phone buyback service (the offer expires tomorrow, 9/20 which is partly why I went and got my phone at the Apple store). I am very meticulous when it comes to caring for my things, especially electronics, so my iPhone 6 is in great shape.

Lastly, I want to say that even though my estimated shipping dates were 9/23-9/30 I had a strong gut feeling that there is an issue with certain orders (not sure a rhyme or reason) and that come 9/30 I still wouldn't have my phone. IMO that AT&T intended to use FIFO, but something went awry in their system and some orders got FUBAR'd. Also, I do understand that AT&T is waiting on a shipment from Apple and then has to sort through things to send the phones to those who pre-ordered, which takes time, but the lack of communication from AT&T and many people who ordered much later than myself (and others) receiving their phones and/or notifications is a big red flag to me.

If you have an Apple store nearby (the closest one to me with my phone is 20 miles away)
At 12:02 tonight (keep refreshing until your state is not greyed out in the menu) check the link in my post and reserve a phone (if they have what you want) at your closest Apple store. Do NOT cancel your order until you are at the Apple store and know 100% that your phone is there and that you will be able to receive it today.

You just answered every question I had about this whole process at Apple so thank you very much!!! I have an appointment set up after work to pick up a 7 plus and needless to say I am ready to leave work!

Exactly!! I along with some others never received the email with their T&C's to accept. I only received one email from them stating they received my order and it's definitely not attached in it..

I did it on the website when placing the order. There were two checkboxes that you needed to check.

A couple of observations...

To the Einstein that just can't understand why we're upset we don't have our phones yet, let me spell it out for you: IT'S BECAUSE OTHERS THAT ORDERED THE EXACT SAME PHONE WE DID ON ATT.COM ***AFTER US*** ARE RECEIVING THEIR PHONES ***BEFORE US***. Is that clear enough for you now??? Our orders are stuck and no amount of calling the yoyos at att is fixing the problem.

Second, I made a reservation to pick up a 256gb MB 7+ Verizon phone at an Apple store at 12:03am last night for a 10:00am reservation. The reason I did this is because I was either going to change to iup or change service to Verizon becauseI now HATE at&t with a vengeance. I walked out with new service with Verizon and iup...my number is in the process of porting over right now.

Third: NEVER, NEVER, NEVER ***EVER*** CANCEL YOUR EXISTING ORDER UNTIL YOU HAVE YOUR NEW PHONE, IN HAND, AND ARE MOVING DATA OVER TO IT. I waited until I began transferring my data after paying the first installment and taxes before canceling my stupid, stuck at&t order.

Fourth, the guy at the apple store said the phones aren't "unlocked", per se...as others have said, you'd need to buy the phone outright to be able to use it on at&t, I'd getting a Verizon phone for example. He said when they scan them, they are "tied" to that particular service provider.

Anyway, I am completely disgusted with at&t. They can all FOAD, as far as I'm concerned. I do not do business with companies that do not process ore-orders fairly. That is the last time they're going to put my order behind everyone else's.

I have my phone right now. If you want yours sometime soon and your order is stuck, drive a couple of hours and pick one up at an apple store after making the reservation with them. Good luck. DON'T CANCEL YOUR ORDER UNTIL YOU'RE MOVING DATA ONTO YOUR NEW PHONE OR AT LEAST HAVE PAID THE TAXES/INSTALLMENT ON IT!!!!! And if you ignore that and cancel early anyway, don't come whine about it here because multiple people have already said earlier in this thread to wait to cancel the att preorder until you have the new phone, so...don't do that.

Oh boy I was soo happy to see my USPS man. usps was the only place where I couldn't check by reference. Heard him pull up, looked out the window, and saw him walking up with a box that could contain my iphone. Turns out my ole lady ordered a ton of makeup...... man I'm fuming.

How do we check to see if this applies to us? I placed my order 44 minutes after launch. I set an alarm to wake up and order. I'm not exactly sure I could have told you my name at 2AM CT let alone whether or not I accepted TOS.

Just a note, for those reserving a phone and cancelling your ATT order.

Since I had an ATT phone ordered on NEXT, ATT wouldn't let me cancel my pre-order via their verification e-mail.

I had to have the Apple rep call ATT to activate the phone I reserved with Apple. This took an extra 30 minutes.

As unpleasant as it all was, I got the matte black 256 plus and it's really nice.

(think ATT will pay for my $62.00 parking bill for the garage on 5th Avenue in NY?

PS - the "batman black" guy. stop. it's not catching on.

Good luck everyone.

Same here. But I was assured by a rep that it says in their system that I agreed to the Ts & Cs and that my phone should be delivered by the estimated time shown within the confirmation e-mail when I pre-ordered, if not sooner. Never received the second e-mail that contained the Ts & Cs.

I would strongly suggest to those of you who have not received an e-mail about the Terms & Conditions to contact AT&T just to make sure your order wasn't delayed!

It seems like a few people on here have claimed that they weren't made aware of this and that was the reason why their phones didn't begin to ship until they agreed to the Ts & Cs.

Definitely enjoyed this....at our expense of course:D. But funny nonetheless!o_O

I called the order status hotline and the rep I spoke with wrote up an declination ticket, they are going to look deeper into my order and see what the problem might be. He asked me if when I received the confirmation email if I had replied to it... thought that was kind of odd. Anyway they're supposed to be calling me back. I preordered at 3:00:50AM ET on 9/9 7+ MB 128GB shipping estimate 9/23-9/30. Not a peep from ATT since then... still preparing to ship...
