A couple of observations...

To the Einstein that just can't understand why we're upset we don't have our phones yet, let me spell it out for you: IT'S BECAUSE OTHERS THAT ORDERED THE EXACT SAME PHONE WE DID ON ATT.COM ***AFTER US*** ARE RECEIVING THEIR PHONES ***BEFORE US***. Is that clear enough for you now??? Our orders are stuck and no amount of calling the yoyos at att is fixing the problem.

Second, I made a reservation to pick up a 256gb MB 7+ Verizon phone at an Apple store at 12:03am last night for a 10:00am reservation. The reason I did this is because I was either going to change to iup or change service to Verizon becauseI now HATE at&t with a vengeance. I walked out with new service with Verizon and iup...my number is in the process of porting over right now.

Third: NEVER, NEVER, NEVER ***EVER*** CANCEL YOUR EXISTING ORDER UNTIL YOU HAVE YOUR NEW PHONE, IN HAND, AND ARE MOVING DATA OVER TO IT. I waited until I began transferring my data after paying the first installment and taxes before canceling my stupid, stuck at&t order.

Fourth, the guy at the apple store said the phones aren't "unlocked", per se...as others have said, you'd need to buy the phone outright to be able to use it on at&t, I'd getting a Verizon phone for example. He said when they scan them, they are "tied" to that particular service provider.

Anyway, I am completely disgusted with at&t. They can all FOAD, as far as I'm concerned. I do not do business with companies that do not process ore-orders fairly. That is the last time they're going to put my order behind everyone else's.

I have my phone right now. If you want yours sometime soon and your order is stuck, drive a couple of hours and pick one up at an apple store after making the reservation with them. Good luck. DON'T CANCEL YOUR ORDER UNTIL YOU'RE MOVING DATA ONTO YOUR NEW PHONE OR AT LEAST HAVE PAID THE TAXES/INSTALLMENT ON IT!!!!! And if you ignore that and cancel early anyway, don't come whine about it here because multiple people have already said earlier in this thread to wait to cancel the att preorder until you have the new phone, so...don't do that.
TBH, if you're that upset about not getting your phone early, you probably need to look at you're priorities. It's a phone. Did they promise you that you would get it on the launch day? No. Chill out bro.
 
I'm just going to shut up and be patient. I've got my wireless Bose headphones. I've got my Otterbox. I can wait another day or so for my phone to come in. After all, I'm not at the expected delivery date yet. That'd be 9/23-9/30. I already wrecked one night of sleep on 9/9 setting an alarm like a moron to wake up and order just after sales opened. I'm not doing it again just to reserve whatever scraps Apple deigns to make available in-store for pickup. I've also got a job that requires me to actually show up so unfortunately, a mid-day jaunt to pickup said iPhone isn't a possibility. I do think what Apple did to AT&T pre-orders is crummy. I also think I've never had an issue ordering an iPhone from Apple.com. Perhaps Apple is trying to teach my dumb a$$ a lesson for even thinking of ordering somewhere else. As much as it would make me feel good in the short term to tell apple where exactly to shove that phone, in the log term, they have me by the "apples" since I love my iPhone, Apple Watch, iPad, MacBook Pro, & Apple TV.
 
I haven't read all 290+ pages but does everyone's status state PFS? I assume that meant it's actually PFS as in give it 48 hours to get a tracking #.
 
Just talked to AT&T and she said iPhones matte black 256gb are 20-25 days out from the date of the order. Wtf.
 
LOL. I hate having to order through premier. Pricing is good but having to wait 2-3 weeks will suck. If I didn't have to I wouldn't have. Still think if you order through Apple today most will get it sooner then waiting on the one they ordered from a carrier last week.

I had to order through ATT premier as well because I am a Best Buy Mobile employee. I originally somehow was able to place ATT Next Every Year orders on both an Apple.com order (placed around 3:20am ET) and an order through ATT (3:04am ET). I cancelled the Apple order (so that both were not cancelled), and now I am regretting cancelling the Apple order, rather than the ATT order... Apple gave me a mid-October delivery date, which was worse than ATT's September 30-October 7.
 
Hahaha, you do that honey. Look man, I'm sorry that you somehow managed to screw this up... but it isn't my fault. You are the only person who followed my advice and didn't get their phone. Read back through the posts. All I can tell you is that when I went in, the rep offered me all options, INCLUDING NEXT.
Stop acting like a jerk and misleading people.

Where are you in NC? I live in Charlotte and I've been searching everywhere for a Matte Black 7+ 128 or 256 with no luck. I have a JB 256 7+ ordered with dates of 9/30-10/7 but I'm not going to trust that.

I'm in Charlotte and looking for the same... 7+ MB 128GB

Also, I DID need my phone because my old phone's battery was only holding a charge for about 30 minutes, so that's why I made the effort to get on the website by 12:00 pacific time on the 9th...I'd been putting off getting a new phone, waiting for this one, so yes...some of us actually have a legitimate reason to be pissed off about people ordering the exact same phone after us getting theirs first.

Anyway, I couldn't possibly give a **** about your opinion so just disappear into my ignore list now. You're not worth mine or anyone else's time.

Well contacting them accomplish some things.. like 650 credit towards my new iphone 7 plus without a trade in. And also, a free samsung galaxy j3 while i wait for my iphone 7 to ship mid october.
