How do we check to see if this applies to us? I placed my order 44 minutes after launch. I set an alarm to wake up and order. I'm not exactly sure I could have told you my name at 2AM CT let alone whether or not I accepted TOS.
...and that is the issue. Good luck resolving it...I've been trying for quite sometime to to get AT&T to confirm I have signed the T&C...it's a major cluster f***

I just got home with my 7+ 128 gb, Batman Black (matte black).

I want to post this because although the information is somewhere in this thread, I want to keep it relevant for those still waiting.

I pre-ordered a 7+ 128gb Matte Black via the AT&T website on 9/9 and my order went through at 3:03am EST.
As with many of us, until this morning at 10:21am EST when I cancelled my pre-order, my status was Preparing to Ship with estimated ship dates of 9/23-9/30.

Last night at 12:03am EST I went to https://reserve.cdn-apple.com/US/en...1&sourceID=email&rv=0&path=&iPP=U&appleCare=Y and found that there was a 7+ 128gb MB at a local Apple store (I'm located in Southern NJ between Philadelphia and the coast), so I reserved it for a 10:00-10:30am pickup time this morning.

When I arrived at the Apple store and checked in with the greeter, I very briefly explained to him the situation with some pre-orders via AT&T and said that I would be cancelling my pre-order once I saw the phone I reserved in the Apple store employees hands. I had no doubts, but he assured me that my phone was there.

I then checked my order status (one last time) via the myAT&T app and also via *6737#, both resulted in that my order was Preparing to Ship (the same status I've had for the past 8 days). I then logged back into the myAT&T app and cancelled my order. Note: when you first hit cancel, it will take you to a screen and at the top in a yellow box states: "This cancels your entire order. Call us 877.782.8870, or visit an AT&T store to cancel single items in this order." This is important if you have more than one thing on order, I just had one item, the phone, so the message wasn't applicable to me. If you scroll down on that screen there is a pull-down menu that you can select a reason (optional) for your cancellation. I chose (I found a better offer), but there is an option of (my order took too long). Then they ask you again if you want to cancel your order and you select yes. They will send you a confirmation email as well as confirm on the screen that your order is being cancelled. I got the email from AT&T about 6 minutes later that my order was cancelled.

I would like to note that having read these types of posts on this thread helped me out significantly! I knew what to expect and how everything worked.

When the apple employee came out with my phone I told her first thing that I recently had a pre-order from AT&T that I just cancelled and that I would like to acquire the new phone using AT&T Next not the Apple Update program. She went through the options (AT&T Next 30 months or 24 months) and also when it came time to select a data plan, it turns out there is a plan that offers 1 more gb of data and is $10 less than what my current plan is. Naturally I selected the new option and she explained that AT&T does not go out of their way to offer this information (which makes sense business-wise because they would lose out money). My old phone was deactivated and my new one is activated (but still wrapped in the box because I wanted to set it up at home (they give you the option to do it at the store).

She also asked me if I wanted to turn in my old phone for the credit, which looking back might have been a good option; however, I have read some things here of people saying the legal fine print is suspect. I declined because I had already accepted an offer of $185.00 from a phone buyback service (the offer expires tomorrow, 9/20 which is partly why I went and got my phone at the Apple store). I am very meticulous when it comes to caring for my things, especially electronics, so my iPhone 6 is in great shape.

Lastly, I want to say that even though my estimated shipping dates were 9/23-9/30 I had a strong gut feeling that there is an issue with certain orders (not sure a rhyme or reason) and that come 9/30 I still wouldn't have my phone. IMO that AT&T intended to use FIFO, but something went awry in their system and some orders got FUBAR'd. Also, I do understand that AT&T is waiting on a shipment from Apple and then has to sort through things to send the phones to those who pre-ordered, which takes time, but the lack of communication from AT&T and many people who ordered much later than myself (and others) receiving their phones and/or notifications is a big red flag to me.

If you have an Apple store nearby (the closest one to me with my phone is 20 miles away)
At 12:02 tonight (keep refreshing until your state is not greyed out in the menu) check the link in my post and reserve a phone (if they have what you want) at your closest Apple store. Do NOT cancel your order until you are at the Apple store and know 100% that your phone is there and that you will be able to receive it today.

Hello All,
The info in the above post is spot on. I made my appt with apple store at 12:02 this morning and was able to get my previously preordered ATT 7+128 gig Matte black phone. In fact they ONLY had black and 128 gig in 7+ at this store which is 8 miles from my house. The other store which is 20 miles away ONLY had 7's in silver--go figure. Had an appt at 10 this morning. Arrived at 9:50 assuming I'd be the only one there--WRONG!!!. Must have been 25 people in a line some with chairs. At 10 sharp they opened the doors and said anyone with an appt line up on the left. People for classes go right in. Yada yada. I was second in the appt line. Took me right in. Scanned my bar code on my phone. Chatted briefly and the phone was magically delivered from back room. I then canceled my ATT preorder. It took 2 minutes to reinstate the eligibility. The guy punched in my personal information. Told him I wanted ATT next each year. Didn't want Apple Pay; gave him my credit card. Charged me for the tax; went and printed a terms and conditions sheet for me. Got me a bag and I was outta there in 12 minutes. No hassle at all.

I then went to ATT company store in the adjacent mall. Totally empty. Chatted with sales rep--they NEVER got any 7 plus phones in for launch day and still didn't have any. He confirmed much of what we allsurmised on the forum and that was Apple redirected phones for their customers. He even personally preordered and has a shipping date in mid October. He said he believed that 7+ JB if ordered now had shipping date of late Nov or early Dec.

Sorry for being long winded but it appears, as others have said, that if you can find the phone u want at an
Apple store that may be the way to go.

Good luck to all and thanks to all who helped me through this tortuous journey of ATT preorder.

Oh the only thing i didn't get at apple was a shipping label to send my 6S+ back to ATT. will try a local ATT retailer.

Can't find anything within 100 miles except a rose gold plus 256. Just can't rock the rose gold. Lol. We'll miss you but very happy for you.

Hahaha! I have the RG 6s+! It won't be too bad as long as you put a case on it! :p I'll still be lurking around as I'm such a worry wart! LOL I like making sure everyone is ok and always willing to help if needed! Pls keep us updated with your status! :)

Maybe ATT didn't get to there huge pallets of iPhones Apple sent them on Saturday. Maybe we start seeing things move tomorrow.

Just a note, for those reserving a phone and cancelling your ATT order.

Since I had an ATT phone ordered on NEXT, ATT wouldn't let me cancel my pre-order via their verification e-mail.

I had to have the Apple rep call ATT to activate the phone I reserved with Apple. This took an extra 30 minutes.

As unpleasant as it all was, I got the matte black 256 plus and it's really nice.

(think ATT will pay for my $62.00 parking bill for the garage on 5th Avenue in NY?

PS - the "batman black" guy. stop. it's not catching on.

Good luck everyone.
It's not meant to catch on. Very early in this thread there was confusion as to which black color people ordered. Someone mentioned Batman black for the matte black, which made sense to me. If you don't like the way I describe my phone, then please use the ignore function and ignore me.

BTW, I am replying to your post using my 7+ Batman black phone.

MB + 128, ordered at 3:35am EST. No updates whatsoever, 9/23-9/30 ship dates. Wondering if I should call or chat about my order to ensure my order isn't "stuck" or delayed due to these terms of service everyone is speaking of.

I'm in NC as well and can confirm no +'s in any store in the state.

Same here. But I was assured by a rep that it says in their system that I agreed to the Ts & Cs and that my phone should be delivered by the estimated time shown within the confirmation e-mail when I pre-ordered, if not sooner. Never received the second e-mail that contained the Ts & Cs.

I would strongly suggest to those of you who have not received an e-mail about the Terms & Conditions to contact AT&T just to make sure your order wasn't delayed!

It seems like a few people on here have claimed that they weren't made aware of this and that was the reason why their phones didn't begin to ship until they agreed to the Ts & Cs.

Keep us updated!! Hopefully you get good news soon with a big 'SHIPPED' status! :)

Just got this in an email from AT&T...had to laugh!

Wait, what? Orders are being held up for not agreeing to some sort of terms of service? I'm sure you agree to that when you order the phone. I haven't even received an email confirmation of the order, I called ATT and they couldn't even resend me the email confirmation. I had a charge from ATT for the tax that dropped off and it still shows in my account. ATT is doing great....

So of course it can't go smoothly. Despite having an appointment, I have to wait in line. 8 people in front of me and only one person designated to dole out the phones. *sigh*

The guy says I can't use AT&T Next for. Verizon phone. Crap.

A friend just ordered a MB 256GB 7+ through Sprint about an hour and a half ago and was given an estimated shipping date of 9/19...........what the crap

I did it on the website when placing the order. There were two checkboxes that you needed to check.

Oh gotcha! I did that during the order. I assumed there was another one sent out after the order confirmation. So I guess that preorder was just delayed for another reason other than the T&C bug :(

Yeah bcs you have a 6. Would you be saying the same thing if you had an iphone 4? everyone has a different situation.. so stop judging people and be happy that you got your phone in time.
The next time you feel what the fuss is about... call att and tell them to push your shipping time frame back. So, the people that REALLY need the phone can get it before you. :)

please stand by while i conjure up some tears for you and your first world problems.

A couple of observations...

To the Einstein that just can't understand why we're upset we don't have our phones yet, let me spell it out for you: IT'S BECAUSE OTHERS THAT ORDERED THE EXACT SAME PHONE WE DID ON ATT.COM ***AFTER US*** ARE RECEIVING THEIR PHONES ***BEFORE US***. Is that clear enough for you now??? Our orders are stuck and no amount of calling the yoyos at att is fixing the problem.

Second, I made a reservation to pick up a 256gb MB 7+ Verizon phone at an Apple store at 12:03am last night for a 10:00am reservation. The reason I did this is because I was either going to change to iup or change service to Verizon becauseI now HATE at&t with a vengeance. I walked out with new service with Verizon and iup...my number is in the process of porting over right now.

Third: NEVER, NEVER, NEVER ***EVER*** CANCEL YOUR EXISTING ORDER UNTIL YOU HAVE YOUR NEW PHONE, IN HAND, AND ARE MOVING DATA OVER TO IT. I waited until I began transferring my data after paying the first installment and taxes before canceling my stupid, stuck at&t order.

Fourth, the guy at the apple store said the phones aren't "unlocked", per se...as others have said, you'd need to buy the phone outright to be able to use it on at&t, I'd getting a Verizon phone for example. He said when they scan them, they are "tied" to that particular service provider.

Anyway, I am completely disgusted with at&t. They can all FOAD, as far as I'm concerned. I do not do business with companies that do not process ore-orders fairly. That is the last time they're going to put my order behind everyone else's.

I have my phone right now. If you want yours sometime soon and your order is stuck, drive a couple of hours and pick one up at an apple store after making the reservation with them. Good luck. DON'T CANCEL YOUR ORDER UNTIL YOU'RE MOVING DATA ONTO YOUR NEW PHONE OR AT LEAST HAVE PAID THE TAXES/INSTALLMENT ON IT!!!!! And if you ignore that and cancel early anyway, don't come whine about it here because multiple people have already said earlier in this thread to wait to cancel the att preorder until you have the new phone, so...don't do that.
TBH, if you're that upset about not getting your phone early, you probably need to look at you're priorities. It's a phone. Did they promise you that you would get it on the launch day? No. Chill out bro.
